Evelyn was standing in the silent chambers near Elias.
She could feel Rex's eyes on her and she knew that the prince was expecting answers to his question …the answers that Regan had helped her to avoid.
But Rex was persistent.
"We need to investigate Arthur."
Regan said suddenly and looked at Elias.
Elias understood and nodded his head. But before he could say that it will be done to his master, Rex spoke up.
"You won't find anything. My people didn't find anything about him except that he had been a very good friend of Prince William and he had a wife."
Rex's eyes again went to Evelyn when he said the last few words.
"Don't say that, Rex."
Regan said coldly but Rex raised his eyebrows as he countered.
"But that's the truth. You can't deny that, Regan. Can we, Evelyn?"
In the end, Rex turned the matter to Evelyn again.
Evelyn's body was very stiff. Her hands were clutching her dress very tightly. A moment later, she raised her head and said to Rex.
