Evelyn was silent when she heard the woman mention her mother.
Her mother and her father…she didn't have any memory of them. However, the blacksmith uncle to whom she usually goes to bring new utensils for the kitchen told her that her parents were very good people.
Her father was a very brave man and would always stand to protect his tribe's people. And her mother would always be there for her father and her tribe.
Sometimes the blacksmith would even say that her parents' death was very sudden.
Sometimes she would wonder if her parents were still alive, would her life be different or would her mother also not allow her to play?
Would her father have picked her in his arms every day and then given her something sweet to eat as her uncle did to her cousins?
Little Evelyn would feel very sad when she would think this and that was what happened at that moment exactly.
