Sacred Calendar- Year Seventeen
City Lord Mansion- Kyle City, Holy Continent
A few servants walked with small strides in a side house, and upon noticing Lynn they called out to him.
"Master Lynn, everyone is here. Please go to the Lord's City Hall for a meeting."
Upon hearing their words, Lynn walked to a door that led to the hall and opened it. He was a handsome boy, in noble attire- with a collar. A tall and straight posture, and although young he was already 1.83 meters in height1. From the young man's black eyes and black hair, one could tell his mother was a peerless beauty back in the day. As he passed by, several servants bowed their heads and saluted respectfully.
Lynn ordered a few servants to join him to the main hall. The city's main hall was a lofty, typical auditorium. At the centre of the building was a table big enough to seat a hundred people at the same time.
At this time the table was full of people. Sitting at the head of the table was a middle-aged man with blond hair. While he sported a small beard, his well-built physique exuded unrelenting power. Even the man's breathing felt extremely oppressive. He was the Earl of Kyle, the current master of Kyle City. He was also Lynn's father.
Lynn was standing at the edge of the table without a seat for he had no place amid the nobles.
"You are sixteen years old today, so you are an adult. It is time for the land to be divided," said Count Kyle as he looked at Lynn.
Lynn did not salute to his father's words.
"Yes," Lynn said faintly.
"Because your mother was a servant, the council of the town has just decided that it will not grant you the title of baron and you will have to leave. Although, you will be able to take all your things with you. I think you can sell a lot of different items for money. You will also be given ten gold coins as a living expense. I hope you can live on as a civilian." Kyle announced indifferently.
Lynn was not surprised. Ten years ago, Lynn crossed over when this body was six years old. The original owner of this body was poisoned and died on the spot. Yet, when Lynn crossed over his consciousness revived the body.
Since then, Lynn knew that he was out of luck and had transferred to a very dangerous place. For ten years, Lynn performed well and only trusted a few people around him. But because his mother was a servant, his position in the city lord's mansion had always been very awkward.
Finally, when he came of age, the nobles of Kyle City quickly obeyed Earl Kyle's wishes and actively proposed not to give Lynn the title. This was due to Count Kyle not having feelings for his son. Lynn's face contorted after hearing this decision, and he covered his mouth. Many people had mocking smiles on their faces.
Sure enough, Lynn could not bear the life of an aristocrat. However, what they did not know was that Lynn was smiling. He was finally free! Ten years! Do you know how bitter these past ten years have been?! Lynn had no tools yet, but he had mastered very important skills such as brewing, smelting, and planting!
The reason why he did not do anything for ten years was because Lynn was still a part of the family, and everything he made would be owned by his father. Lynn was suffocating! He was poor and looked down upon! It was impossible to make something for him! But at last! Lynn could finally leave!
From now on, Lynn En would finally be able to fully play to his advantages, and within ten years he would surely become the richest nobleman on the entire Holy Continent! I'm so excited! No, you have to exercise restraint. Lynn restrained his emotions as much as possible, and then replied to his father.
"I want to take Uncle Buno and a few servants with me."
"You are a civilian, and you want followers?"
"I cannot help myself."
"This is an impossible proposal."
The nobles all sneered.
This world was completely different from the Blue Star that Lynn lived in before. It was massive! The place where Lynn lived in now was the Holy Continent, where aristocracy was popular. There was also a huge gap between ordinary residents and nobles, so naturally civilians were absolutely not allowed to bring servants.
"I am willing to become a commoner and leave with Master Lynn," Buno, the middle-aged man who took care of Lynn since childhood, quickly replied to Count Kyle.
"Are you going to give up your identity as a manager in the City Lord's Mansion?", asked a noble.
"Stupid!", spat another.
"I am willing to relinquish my status," said Buno calmly while he faced the nobles.
"Whatever." Earl Kyle looked at Lynn with no interest at all.
Buno and a few servants would not have any impact on the City Lord's Mansion. Lynn nodded to the response, turned, and left. At the same time, a woman wearing a noble's dress trotted over. She has silver hair, white and ruddy skin, and perfect eyebrows. She was an absolute goddess.
"Uncle Kyle, this was not fair to Lynn."
"Lucy, are you here to divorce him? Do not worry, I will allow it and will not let him delay your future. So, you do not need to speak for him." Count Kyle's face remained calm as he replied.
This perfect goddess was Lynn's fiance. Lynn looked at her with a gentle face and replied to her remarks.
"I will not restrain you. If you want to divorce, I will give you a personal divorce. After all, we are good friends."
Lynn was a little reluctant to get a divorce as he liked Lucy a lot. In response to his words, Lucy looked up at Lynn. Unexpectedly, she was not happy with him, and instead replied fully aggrieved.
"You fool, I will not give up on you just because you did not get anything. Do you understand?! I think it is unfair! You worked hard! You are much better than any of them. An excellent person!"
Lynn was a little surprised, as were all of the nobles. Everyone looked at Lucy in surprise. Intermarriage between aristocrats and common people could not be recognized. Did she actually say she would not give up Lynn? To not remarry with someone else? She looked at Count Kyle and firmly took Lynn's shoulder.
"Thank you for your five years of care," she thanks Count Kyle. "I will convey your kindness to me to my mother."
"You are leaving?"
"Yes. I have learned enough, and I will take Lynn to see my mother. I think my mother will give him a knighthood."
Lucy said that with a determined face, and looked at the nobles. She has known Lynn for five years and she grew to really like him. Moreover, she knew Lynn's true abilities. She realized very well that the fascinating ideas in his mind would definitely make him very powerful! At that time, they would come back again for their revenge! Lynn was not a hypocrite, so he put his arm around Lucy's shoulder and replied to her wishes with a smile.
"Then I will go with you from now on. Miss, I am afraid I do not even have a carriage. Could you please grant me a ride?"
Lucy took Lynn's hand full of compassion and affection.
"Very happily, my future husband."
Lynn turned around and ordered his and Lucy's servant to follow them as they left. They went to pack their luggage, and once finished they finally got into Lucy's carriage. At noon Lynn rode away with his fiancée.
