Felix took a step closer to Jasmine. He took off his jacket and covered Jasmine with it.

*Blergh

Half digested food in a stomach juice was vomited out of Jasmine's mouth into Felix's uniform, and the stinks entered his nose.

Felix had his eyes closed in reflex when Jasmine retched out on him.

Jasmine wiped her mouth with the back of her hand, "I'm sorry," she said, looking at Felix, who was covered with her vomit.

"Let me help clean that up," she quickly said and walked towards the cleaning supplies basket to find a rag to clean the vomit on Felix's uniform. However, Jasmine's steps weren't steady, and she almost stumbled to the ground, if not for Felix, who had held her by her shoulders, preventing Jasmine from falling.

"Just stand there. Don't do anything else," ordered Felix. He released Jasmine's shoulder and sighed.

He took a rag that was used for cleaning and wiped the vomit from his clothes. He washed the rag under the running water from the tap, squeezed the water out and wiped his uniform again until what was left was just a patch of wet stain on his uniform.

Although he had cleaned his clothes, there was still the strong smell of vomit that was left coming out of it.

"I'm sorry," Jasmine uttered in a low tone. Her teeth were chattering due to her wet clothes and the cold temperature of the surroundings.

Felix creased his forehead, seeing Jasmine, who looked like a stray cat that had just come out from a drain. Her hair was messy and sticking to her skin, her face was pale, and her lips were colourless and cracked.

Sighing for the second time, "come with me," Felix said, and gestured with his finger for Jasmine to follow him.

Jasmine walked out of the bathroom, following Felix with her head down.

She didn't dare to look up and just watched Felix's steps to follow him and trusted that she wouldn't crash into a wall if she just watched his steps.

On their way to wherever Felix was taking her to, they met Trent and the other inmates.

They all stopped in their tracks and wondered what had happened.

Felix was sporting a dark look on his handsome face while Jasmine had her head down with a guilt look on her face.

They noticed the wet patch of stain on Felix's uniform and the smell of vomit that spread when Felix and Jasmine passed by them.

Felix didn't pay them any attention and just went on his way while making sure that Jasmine was following him.

Trent wanted to ask what had happened, but with how dark Felix's aura was, he thought it was better to not provoke the Head Warden. Felix was very rigid and wasn't the friendly type. It was hard for him to casually ask what had happened from Felix.

Felix brought Jasmine through several gates until they arrived at the infirmary.

He opened the door to the infirmary and gestured for Jasmine to walk inside first.

Three people in the infirmary all turned to look at the door when they walked in. It was sort of a reflex when they heard the infirmary door opening.

The prison doctor, Doctor Jessica Kang, stood up from her seat and walked towards them.

She looked at Jasmine's and Felix's condition and scrunched her nose a little because of the smell. In fact, it was not only Jessica who was holding their breath. The other two people in the infirmary were also holding their breath since the duo came in.

"Check her," Felix simply said, and gestured towards Jasmine.

Jasmine looked up at Felix's face, "I'm fine," she said.

Feix stared at Jasmine, "you're not. Your face is pale, you have bloodshot eyes, your nose is red, your lips cracked, you're shivering and you're just vomiting your guts out," he listed down all the things that were wrong with Jasmine.

Jasmine was stumped when she heard Felix. Something twisted in her heart at hearing Felix's observation of her physical condition.

'Oh my, I feel like I'm falling in love,' Jasmine said in her mind.

'Wait no! Don't do that, Jasmine! Don't you dare be that love fool again! Didn't you learn anything from your ten years of relationship with Joshua? Men are trash! And besides, what the hell is wrong with you? Did you forget? This man is gay! He's Director Vince, boyfriend!'

Jasmine put her hands up and knocked on her temple multiple times.

"Oh, my! Did you get a headache too?" the doctor asked at seeing Jasmine pounding her head.

Doctor Jessica asked Jasmine to have a seat on the examination bed and she checked her. She took Jasmine's temperature, checked her throat and eyes, and took her heart rate.

She kept a professional look when she checked on Jasmine under the watchful eyes of Felix.

Every once in a while, she took a peek at Felix from the corner of her eyes. Never once did Felix glanced at Jessica. His serious face was on Jasmine all the time that Jessica was examining Jasmine.

"She had a slight fever, other than that, she's fine," Jessica gave her diagnosis, "She can go-,"

"Let her stay in the infirmary for the whole day," Felix cut Jessica's words, and turned to look at Jessica.

Seeing Felix was looking at her, Jessica flashed a smile and nodded her head, "sure, I'll keep her in the infirmary for the day," she agreed to Felix's words.

"Nurse Ting, take inmate 2306 and get her out of these wet clothes. Give her meds and let her rest," Jessica called one of her assistants.

"Thanks, Jessi," Jasmine thanked Jessica.

"It's Doctor Jessica," Jessica corrected Jasmine.

Jasmine's eyes shook a little, and cast her head down, "thank you, Doctor Jessica," she said.

Nurse Ting came forward and took Jasmine with her. Before Jasmine walked away, she glanced at Jessica once before following Nurse Ting.

Jasmine's heart was pricked when Jessica acted like that towards her. Jasmine had made friends with the doctor before and because their age wasn't that far from each other, she had dropped the honorific and called the doctor by her nickname.

She thought they were friends. Who knew that the doctor was ashamed to be seen as Jasmine's friends in front of other people?

'Am I the only one who thought we were friends? Who am I kidding, who wants to make friends with an inmate,' Jasmine laughed at herself inwardly.

Jessica watched as Jasmine walked away with Nurse Ting. Her eyes went back to look at the gorgeous face in front of her.

She wanted to be alone with Felix, but there was another person inside the infirmary.

Her mind quickly thought of another excuse to send the male nurse away. Her eyes lit up when she saw Felix's clothes.

"Nurse Goh, could you go get a change of clothes for Superintendent He?" she asked the other nurse.

However, before the male Nurse could say anything, Felix put his palm up, stopping the other nurse from answering Jessica.

"There's no need," he said and turned around to leave the infirmary.

Why would he stay there to change his clothes? He had his own office he could use.
