Ehrmich district

Ayato, Eren, Annie, Armin, and Jean went over to the bridge to get Ymir who was tied under the bridge with Ayato.

While the rest went scouting the district, Levi didn't want his soldiers heading straight for Shiganshina through Trost, the gate was still sealed anyway.

He wanted to get Ymir that was still under the bridge, and if possible capture Reiner if spotted before heading back to Ehrmich and taking the Krolva district to Shiganshina.

Levi and the remaining scouts landed on the inner walls of Trost, while Ayato moved forward.

They moved towards the bridge at full speed, some soldiers rode their horses, and some used their ODM gear in order to avoid getting any unexpected visitors sneak up on them.

They got to the cave, some part had been rebuilt after the battle at Trost, and it was so dark that they hesitated to enter.

"This was where you were trapped for five years?" Eren asked.

"I'm afraid so" Ayato got down from his horse and began walking into the cave.

"Hey, don't just waltz in there!" Jean yelled.

Eren took a deep breath and followed behind Ayato, Annie did the same and they kept on moving in.

The cave was dark so they could barely see anything, the area that still had a little light was where Ayato had been tied to before, but Ymir was tied a bit deeper inside.

"I can't believe no one remembered to bring a flashlight," Jean uttered.

"Well, we didn't exactly know the cave would be this dark," Armin uttered, he was resting his hands on the wall in order not to fall since he couldn't tell where he was going.

He placed his hands on the wall after taking another step forward, he then suddenly felt a warm breeze on his hand.

"Jean? Quit breathing so hard," Armin uttered.

"What are you talking about, I'm right here," Jean said, standing in front of Armin.

"Uh? Then who's?" He suddenly felt sharp teeth sink into his hand, he screamed from the pain as he struggled to pull his hands away.

"Armin! Are all right?" Eren yelled.

"Say something!" Jean yelled.

They weren't sure what was going on and all they could hear was the scream of Armin that soon turned into a cry for help.

"Where the hell are you?" Jean uttered, moving closer to the sound, he felt himself stepping on someone's leg and thought it was Armin.

"I found him"

He reached out to grab the person but Instead got a finger to the eye. Blood splashed from his eyes socket before the finger removed itself.

Jean screamed in pain, "My eye! Freaking jackass ripped out my eyes! God!".

He fell to his knees, placing both his hands on his damaged eye, Annie brought out her blade and started striking them together till they brought out sparks.

Even if it was for just a few seconds, all of them in the cave could see a girl with ridiculously long hair tied up with chains to the wall.

She had her teeth on Armin's hands and her left hand was covered in blood, but yet she still had a very calm expression on her face.

Eren, using the light to guide his path, began running outside to the entrance of the cave, "Where the hell are you going?" Jean yelled, struggling to stand to his feet.

Armin was slowly losing consciousness as the girl kept on biting him.

Ayato was ready to run outside too, they all suddenly heard a lightning strike from outside that came with a huge roar and the sound of people screaming and running.

Eren, in his titan form, punched the side of the cave, making sure he kept it as far away from where his friends stood as possible.

As soon as the upper part of the bridge came down, light skinned inside the cave and they could clearly see the girl.

Ayato walked up to her and gently started removing her hands from Armin's fist, but instead of her letting go, she switched to Ayato and bit his finger.

His blood spilled everywhere, while some entered the girl's mouth, she immediately let go and her once dead eyes started showing light.

Ayato groaned as he wrapped his hands around his bleeding finger while steam came rushing out of it.

"That should do the trick" Ayato uttered, "Armin, are you okay?" He asked.

"Yeah I should be fine," Armin answered, Annie was already helping him treat the wound with a bandage.

Jean stood up from the ground, still holding his left eye, "So now what?" He asked.

Ayato could see the terrified look on Jean's face, but all the same, Jean didn't want them to stop the mission on his behalf and Ayato could tell.

"Exactly what the Captain said, we head back to Ehrmich, hopefully, she knows something" Ayato uttered.

Once they had freed her they went back to Ehrmich district and on their way there they met a Soldier riding his horse at full speed toward them.

"There's an abnormal coming, run!" The soldier yelled.

"Titan?" They all said in unison.

The soldier kept on screaming, "Idiot move it! It's throwing rocks," The scout yelled.

Ayato spotted the beast titan walking slowly toward their location.

"What the hell is that?" Jean uttered, looking at the beast titan, he had his belt wrapped around his left damaged eye.

The beast titan took a throwing stance and multiple speeding rocks kept charging toward their location.

Ayato jumped down from his horse and started running towards the rocks, "Get behind me!" He yelled at the scout that was running away from the titan.

Pressing his injured finger, Ayato's body became enveloped in lightning before he transformed into the Fulger titan and gave out a loud roar.

"Here it comes, '' Ayato uttered, spreading his hands before covering himself in his own lightning surge.

He made sure he was standing in front of his teammates, so no rocks accidentally hit any one of them.

But from the way the rocks were speeding, he wasn't sure he could take them all head-on.
