Tapping the woman on her shoulder as I stepped up right behind her, her head whirled around in surprise, clearly not having expected for someone to initiate any sort of interaction with her as she appeared to be so engrossed in what was displayed on the computer screen. She didn't even have enough time to cover what was on it, and the look of realization in her eyes nearly made me crack a smile, but other than that, there wasn't an attempt made to do so either since it was already too late.
Moving to stand next to her, I shook her reluctant hand and introduced myself, working out the kinks of my plan as I acted it out for the most part. "Hey, my name's Dante Luca. How are you?"
Seeming a little out of her depth, most likely still reeling from being taken by surprise, the woman nervously tucked her hands into her lap. "...Armena Ortega. I'm good. Who are you?"
Well, that was a lie. It was clear that, whatever potential mutant thing she was likely dealing with, it had slowly been taking a toll. However, I rolled with it, finally deciding right as I opened my mouth to reply that I was actually gonna go through with this crazy shit.
Stealing a nearby chair for myself as I slid my way back over to Armena, all while making sure that I got fairly close but not overtly so in a way that might creep her out, I allowed a crooked grin to crawl onto my face. "Ah, sorry about that. Uh, well, the reason I actually decided to speak with you in the first place is because you really just caught my eye. There's really not much to it besides that, honestly, and I'm sorry if this is me coming off a little strong for your tastes."
Her eyes widened, but she didn't push me away. I continued, intent on emptying the jumbled mess of words in my brain that were being conjured as my lips were moving at the same time, and before she could give a response in turn. "I initially came here to use the library's printer, but it turns out that the machine has been out of order for a while. Then, as I was leaving, I saw you from across the room and couldn't help myself." I explained, throwing out the first excuse that came to mind.
I had to create a little backstory of sorts, after all, since I didn't want to come off as too much of a stalker or something. There was no telling what she could be thinking, especially with what's been going on with her lately.
Armena blinked, and then did so a second time, before the woman's mind finally seemed to catch up with what had just been explained to her. Unsurprisingly, at least from my perspective, she didn't really appear to be all that interested, but that was obviously for a multitude of reasons, and I didn't actually care at the moment. It was mostly just to plant a seed or two for later, as this part of the whole interaction in the first place was a setup, which I would then oh-so-subtly guide towards the figurative elephant in the room.
"S-Sweetie, I'm old enough to be your mother. Not to mention, while it was kind of you to say those things, I am also a married woman with two children." The milf shyly responded, tucking a lock of hair behind her ear, which subtly displayed the cheap ring wrapped around her finger. It was done with a clear lack of natural confidence, though, which she should've possessed at her age with the rather youthful physique hidden under all those layers of clothing.
Quickly adopting a notable look of disappointment, I leaned back a bit and turned to look off to the side, as I just stared at a distant bookshelf within the library. "...Oh. Well, I apologize for disturbing your peace then. I wish you luck on finding the answers you seek."
The die has been cast.
I abruptly stood up, and as I was in the process of turning away from the woman and heading towards the exit, I felt a hand grab onto my wrist with a strength that I honestly hadn't been expecting. It was Armena, which I immediately confirmed as I looked down at the culprit who had decided to grab ahold of me in an attempt to prevent my escape, and I could visibly see the desperation in her eyes. It was also a good look for her too, though, especially with the cleavage I had a pretty decent view of at the moment.
The woman definitely had a pair of dick-sucking lips on her, that was for sure.
"W-What...?" She muttered, already knowing the answer in some type of fashion.
Purposefully glancing at the computer screen between the two of us, I noticed her instinctively look as well, before our eyes met once more. "Well, you were born with the x-gene, right?" I asked, genuinely curious on how she would react to that. I wasn't even sure that was actually public knowledge or whatever.
When the response I received was basically just a mixture of confusion and hope, I nearly broke character amidst our conversation. The old bald geezer in this world must be fairly secretive and whatnot. I wasn't going to complain about it though. I mean, there were definitely more upsides to it than there were down in this case.
It didn't take me very long to push Armena's inhibitions over the edge, and it wasn't even a difficult endeavor to accomplish, especially when I continued to be stubborn on divulging information on the subject that I pretended was important enough that others couldn't just accidently overhear.
Hell, depending on whether or not this world's mutants were hated immensely like in some others, those words could potentially hold more weight than I initially thought to be the case for our reality. On the other hand, by the time I was walking out of the library, I was doing so with a piece of paper that had the milf's phone number hurriedly scribbled on it.
I smiled, now headed towards the nearest store. It seemed I would be quite busy for the next few days cleaning both myself and my apartment up, and amidst all of that chaos, I would also have to find a way of acquiring a new cellphone.
There was an upcoming date I had to look presentable at next week, after all.
