Proving His Identity

"Thuck","thuck" , a loud noise of boots and a heavy metallic object was heard.

The sound came from the hallway ,and the roar of the public was heard ,that roar combined into a single noise or maybe sound and spoke .

"All hail to the leader." Said the public who were standing in the common people area.

(The Phoenix Palace.)

(Prayer Hall.)

"Huh ,consider yourself lucky ." Said the maid ,who was shouting at Alistair.

She went away gritting her teeth. 

Alistair stood there silently, already it was hard to work in a maids dress and now he had successfully laid himself into another short of trouble.

"Pretty good ,I really can't keep a low profile can I? "He said this in his mind and almost scolded himself for this.

"Thank you ! For me you got yourself in this trouble." Said the maid ,she stood up and was almost on a blink to cry

"No, don't blame yourself ,I have a fetish of getting into trouble. " said Alistair,as he said that he sighed and wondered about the noise that just came from the hallway and also the sudden attitude of that maid.

"Still,I am sorry if I were careful then the whole thing would have not taken place." She said ,this time two drops of tears fell down from her eyes and made her rosy cheeks blush even more with a watery view on them.

"No ,it's okay, but could you tell me what was that noise and why that maid suddenly left us?" Said Alistair , it could be seen from his voice that he was not interested in consoling her.

The maid looked a bit surprised ,she thought that how could a person after offending the chief maid be so calm and what made her more surprised, was how ignorant a person could be .

"Um,Are you new here?" Asked she,

Her face clearly depicted the signs of

Suspicion and her tone was clear but one could still notice the suspicious nature of it.

Alistair knew, that if he said yes to her question ,he could really give himself away so he thought of something and the face if that lady just came into his mind ,and he thought that the plan that he made in his mind is actually a gamble but if successful he could stay here a bit longer and search for Rose.

"I am not new ,but I am from one of the jungle bird tribes, my parents were jungle rangers and they died when I was young ."said He ,and paused to look at her expression and the answer ,because if continued and she didn't even believe that it would only raise her suspicion. 

"Oh!I am so sorry to hear that, did they die when they were fighting the Griffin species." Said she,her expression depicted that she truly believed that and she was really feeling sorry for her.

"So,this planet or maybe this legend also had forest rangers and they also had  foreign invasions , how ironic?" though he,while nodding his head.

He was about give out a smile but then he remember how weird it would be,if in a midst of a sad conversation someone laugh and this only laid him to further think about the 'doraemon episode' when 'nobita' used a gadget on his mother and she laughed in midst of a serious conversation. 

"Oh!mind stop playing these weird tricks ,you will surely get me killed." He thought ,as he closed his eyes and tried to focus on the conversation. 

The girl was still looking at him with a great focus. She thought that Alistair (now dressed as a maid.)must be in great pain and that's why he closed his eyes.

"You are right ,they died from that invasion, I became an orphan and most of the time I used to roam around passing my time and later I came here instead of my grandmother's state to help out in this festival. " said He with as much clearance as he could possibly give.

However, he was really lucky that these types of incidents became common after that attack and the palace did hire temporary maids so,his theory was believable. 

"I see, the person who held the metallic object and upon whose arrival all the voices started greetings is our king ,'the legendary Phoenix king.' "Said she , with respect and fear in her words.

Alistair understood now and it was reasonable also that only the priests and the kings would get this kind of respect. 

In fact ,that was not the thing he was anxious about, he just felt it intuitively that Rose might be involved in this strange events and suddenly he thought of a question. 

"Was someone recently summoned here?"asked him.

He saw the girl's expression and he got that his guess was right and the girl was going to tell him something when suddenly the trumpets started playing alongside the drums.

"Everyone, the king is entering along with the chief priest. " said the announcer.

Almost everyone who was sitting rose up from their seats and all the knights,maids,lesser rank novels assembled in a straight line making colours and rows.

The whole hall ignited with the flames ,the fountain placed in the side also ignited with reddish flame ,a grand fiery energy filled the whole hall.

Suddenly all of them bowed and the knights and the maids kneeled down and a monotonous sound only lingered in the hall that said:

"All hail,to the greatest king of Phoenix. " 

Upon that greeting the metallic sound became more heavy and a figure attended by knights and a priest was seen in the view. 

The dancers also bowed and Rose too bowed .

Upon seeing the figure both Rose and Alistair bowing and kneeling from their respective position looked up and only one thought came into their mind.

"So,this bird is responsible for the whole trouble. " thought both of them with a frown in their faces….
