Keira's POV

By 4 the next day I got ready and went to Cole's house, "welcome Keira" he said as he held the door for me to come in.

"Thank you, is Carl in?" I asked trying to look as calm as possible

"Nope, he's at the beach with Maddie" he said and shut the door.

"I see, um so how're you?" I asked.

I brought out my phone to make sure the recorder was still on. "I'm okay, thank you, I made strawberry banana smoothie, are you down?" He asked, "no thank you, I actually drank a green smoothie before getting here" I said with a smile

"Oh okay" he said and got a glass for himself

"So Cole, can I ask you few questions?" I asked

He looked calm and said "sure, go ahead"

"What went down with you and mara before she died" I asked, he clenched the glass harder, and he flinched a little which didn't go unnoticed by me.

"Um, nothing actually, we just saw in school, the week before the party" he replied. "Hmmm, you sure, nothing more, nothing less?, You guys didn't meet or something?" I asked again

He faked a thinking face then said"oh yeah, um she called me to her house so I could tutor her on maths" he said

"I see" I said while nodding my head simultaneously

"So can explain why mara's phone is in your custody?" I asked. His face turned pale as though he had just seen a ghost.

"What do you Mean?" He studdered

"Don't play stupid with me boy, if you saw her to tutor her, did you take her phone? Because as far as I'm concerned, u saw Mara with her phone multiple times that night" I said calmly still maintaining the same composure.

Cole looked hesitant first, then he closed his eyes.

"The day me and Mara met, she was forcing herself on me, I didn't want to give in at first, but eventually I did, and when I got home, Mara sent me a video of everything that happened, threatening to post it an...." Shut it" I interrupted him

"I know about this part, tell me what happened at the party" I requested.

"When you left, she also wanted me to fuck her, I wasn't in the mood at all, I didn't want to have anything to do with her, she then brought up the video again, and I was forced to follow her in, when we we're done I left her upstairs and she didn't come back down till we called out to her that we we're leaving, I had to get her phone to delete the video, so I dropped by guys at their homes, then came back to mara's house by 5am, I knew she'd be asleep, I planned to pick her lock, but surprisingly she didn't lock it, when I got to her room, the door was slightly open, and as I got it, mara was lying Dead on the floor, her phone was not so far from her hands, her wounds looked fresh, as though the murder just took place like 10 minutes ago, I panicked, took her phone and left" Cole said

I couldn't believe what I was hearing at the moment

"Who didn't you drop home?" I asked.

"A lot of people, some people followed others who brought their cars too" he said calmly.

"Thanks" I said and left his house without waiting to hear what he had to say.

This evidence was golden, I need to start locking them up one by one until one of em confesses, I thought to myself.

I checked my phone and saved the recording, I drove to the police station and asked to see the detective in charge of mara's case.

"Good day young lady, how may I help you?" Detective willow asked

"I have something to say about Mara Zane's murder" I said

"Really?, Come right in" he said.
