Reasonable... but still... it's scary you know. The Spider is one of my favorite fanfics and it's a long way to go before where the supposed continuation starts. What if this gets dropped before even letting me take a glance at the continuation? Then my hopes would've been up for nothing.

You mean the Patreon thing? And? Dude I can understand that IF the novel was his but technically his ownership starts at his continuation. Which goes back to my initial inquiry of why not post the entire The Spider novel prior to his continuation? I'm not sure how far along chapter 831 is since he pretty much chopped up each original chapter into several of his own chapters, but if it's way beyond as you said, that should be plenty of stock. Unless, the author expects us to subscribe to his Patreon to view the part of The Spider that's basically free to read in fanfiction by the original author?

Let me put it in more context when I said this author chopped up the chapters and that whatever is shown here is still a long ways away. Chapter 111: Chapter 110 in this novel is just the start of Chapter 17 in The Spider, which has 98 chapters btw before the original author stopped. Maybe depending on how generous this author is with the word count, he has caught up at Chapter 650 or something. Do you really expect people to pay to read Chapters 115-650 at his Patreon when (1) he doesn't own it and (2) it's available and free at fanfiction which was posted by the original author and gets appropriately credited for his work?
