But if I ever stopped to take a moment, to truly reflect on what I've done till now, the weight of it all would crush me. The people I've hurt, the children who no longer have a father or mother to come home to them at night, the wives and husbands who lost the love of their lives, the siblings who lost their eternal bond, and the parents who lost their child. It would break me, and that's what truly scared me. If I took a moment to look back on my life, would I turn around and ever truly be the same again? Maybe, maybe not. But if I'm out there saving lives, maybe, just maybe, I might eventually do more good than I've done harm. Well, majority rules. And as of me writing this chapter, the majority chose Spider-man powers. But don't get me wrong, I have no intention of making Elijah just another Spider-man OC. His Spider powers will not be the focus of his fighting style, but more of a supplement to his military training. Yeah that’s what I meant. But it also ties into the fact that race and appearance has no matter in being a hero. A hero is a hero, no matter how they look.
In walked a new transfer student. He was about 5'11, had (H/C) hair, clear (S/C) skin, piercing (E/C) eyes and a muscular physique. As he was talking to the professors, I could hear the girls whispering some things I'd rather wish I hadn't heard, but alas, enhanced senses. Phew, that took a while to write. One problem I found while writing was that with Laura and Logan's enhanced hearing, the gunshots from the .50 Cal should've left them half deaf.
