So this allowed her to somewhat close the gap between the two of them. There's no doubt that if Igor even used Kaioken X2, he would've beat the absolute daylights out of her. But like we've seen with Baraquiel, he mostly wanted a good battle over winning which is why he didn't use his Kaioken for both of those fights.

That's where you're wrong and I'll break it down. There's a big difference between KNOWING and SUSPECTING. To avoid spoilers, I won't go into too much detail. Shuri had lived for almost a decade without trouble from the Himejima. It is not wrong for the blonde to assume that nothing will happen for a few more years. Secondly, guess who talked him out of going after the Himejima? Thirdly, for those reading this review, although it counts as a spoiler, there is a happy ending and it's already been released in the later chapters.

After more than 4 decades, it's nigh impossible for him to remember characters from a book. Maybe there'd be a higher chance if he had watched the anime but he certainly can't be expected to remember characters and plots he read from a book after that many decades passed.

His father grew up in the mafia. His grandfather was probably no stranger to the world war. So when a world war 2 survivor also happens to be a gang leader, flowery words tend to be passed down. So it's not surprising if Igor picked up a word or two from his father's angry tirades. That and, Igor was practically alone for decades. You can notice how, before he started training, he didn't swear much. Even Ted commented on Igor swearing. But after he started training, he came out of the time chamber like a veteran sailor. We can only imagine that during his training, he must've frustrated himself enough times that cursing just became his normal way of speaking
