Surprisingly, I underestimated writers block until I started writing
I mention in one of the earlier chapters that human refers to basically all humanoid species. Elves, dwarves, sapients, etc.
I love END OF VOLUME 1's they're great!
Yeah, originally I meant to describe it as a similar effect as negative mass and its theorized gravitational properties, but... that's too complicated for a lot of people with no knowledge on that stuff so I may have simplified it too much. I made this story for fun, not theoretical physics, so I've tried to stay away from complicated stuff... but I do really love learning about stuff like this though, and plan to use it in the future a little.

He’s staying away from people so that they don’t find out about his magic poisoning. They don’t know, yet.
Teleportation exists, but you need a machine to do it. She wants to keep the fact she can teleport without an expensive machine secret. No one knows that she didnt use a machine to teleport
I cover it in a later chapter, but basically, Jess of this world's past hid the fact she could float in school by training herself to repress the urge, but after the Shift, this Jess doesn't have that training. If that makes any sense.
