Novels like this make me wonder if the authors just flat-out hate women, and if the actions and events depicted really are common, everyday occurrences in the People’s Republic of China.

This is how I am with German. I minored in the language in college, but after I graduated, instead of being able to achieve my goal of becoming a foreign service officer, I started getting really sick. I am now completely disabled, and am in so much pain, all the time. And one of the symptoms of this disease that I have is brain fog, which has hit me hard. I have forgotten so much of the language that I studied in college, and, even worse, my memories of those four wonderful years in general are a blur that are hard for me to recall. It is a tough pill to swallow.

A bonk bed! 😂 I had one of those when I was living in one of the on-campus dorms during my freshman year of college. It wasn’t very comfortable but it served its purpose 😉
