Right? My next two paychecks are already spent.
This isn’t actually an ending. The author obviously dropped it. I hate when they slap “finale” in the chapter and just stop. At least give us an actual ending!
Keanu can’t actually act though. A better choice would be the actor who played Finch from Person of Interest, but he would’ve been 45 in 1999. Still, he plays excellent intellectuals and actually looks the part. And if I’m not mistaken, wasn’t Bruce Banner one of the older marvel characters?
I like to imagine she’s still there, probably married to a sheep by now.
China is a *massive* consumer market for anime, as well as one of the main countries that Japanese companies outsource anime production to. So the prejudice against Japan is almost nonexistent when it comes to that, like how most Chinese people agree that Hollywood is the global leader in films, or French luxury fashion and German automobiles and the like. Once China opened up in the early 80s, foreign companies and money flooded in, forming and shaping consumer habits in a country that had previously been completely unexposed to it. Now that multiple generations have grown up with those beliefs and habits, it’s virtually unchangeable. That’s why you don’t see any famous clothing brands or car designs from China, and their manhua and donghua lag far behind manga and anime. Same with their video games (other than the openly exploitative p2w mobile market, that is) and other forms of consumer goods. It’s been 40 years or more and they’re only just starting to discover their own stuff and break away from the “Made in China” outsourcing of western capital.
The plots differ but they’re both time loop movies. And even if you don’t consider that, Happy Death Day wasn’t even the first time loop movie that was a mystery/thriller. Like Retroactive, Run Lola Run, and Camp Slaughter, which all came before it. And if you want an even closer parallel in terms of plot, there’s Salvage, or perhaps Magnetic. But the most famous time loop movie of all time is still Groundhog Day.
When you’re the richest person in the world, people just treat you different.
His family tree is more like a family circle.
Well he did once say that he admired Howard Hughes.
