So here we have a fairly interesting story though it does have its problems. The main problem is the racism/China good guys everyone else is evil type of mindset. Having that for non-Chinese readers is generally a bad idea as it alienates them. The story itself is rather bland with the police backdrop for the story, though I found that the romance is actually rather fun. So we have a guy who has been sent on more than 100 blind dates by his mother in a relatively short time period. Not really much of a problem for us the readers, but it would certainly be exasperating living through such a situation. He arrests his most recent blind date while on the date which makes him very not excited for any more. Than his mother sends him on another one. He goes into it trying to cause the date to fail, seeing this very good looking girl who looks to be very wealthy he decides to act like a male gold digger. Weirdly she agrees. Her situation is much like his, but he tries to run away from the girl and she chases him down. They get into a fake boyfriend/girlfriend relationship. She introduces him to her parents and he makes a fabulous impression on them. The reverse is also true when he introduces her to his parents. This is a problem for them as they are nominally in a fake relationship.... I love this.
Just went back and decided to read something that sounded interesting. Then I started looking at the reviews and thought that there was a lot of absurd things going on. The whole pedophile nonsense is just that. It really does not matter as the story is about the MC and him being married to his ex's mother. It matters not one bit about the background or the ages involved with the MC and his ex or even when the mother got pregnant with his ex. That is just background information that plays no role in the story itself at this point. Now the story, I absolutely hate the concept of systems giving things like companies, cars, villas ect..., as we need to really ignore all the hand wavium going on. Here we have a situation where the system bought the things using system power to influence things. That very system influence is actually improving the impression of those who are researching about the background of the MC. This is actually where most of those system with physical rewards that have past owners comes with major problems, but is handled fairly well in this story such that the system is effectively being a major 'background' for the MC and people realize that the MC has someone major handling things for him. Even at chapter 40 there is not much that has gone on. I find it a bit disappointing that the MC is the only one who is aware of his "wife's" affiliation with his ex. Just another thing to look forward to if I am able to read more of this one.
This story is a combination of two distinct story types commonly found on Webnovel. First off the mistreated married mercenary king. In this case we have the MC who transmigrated into a situation where he had a one night stand with this 'noble' girl from one of the noble families. It left a bad situation for the girl, while the MC was thrown onto a prison island to rot. There he found a grand opportunity and before he leaves to return 'home' he acquires the 'assets' of all the other prisoners on paper. Of course they do not believe he can utilize them as he is also one of the prisoners. But then he says goodbye and successful leaves. The second story type is the daddy/daughter story. The MC was not aware of this daughter and the time-frame also does not seem to quite line up, but the girl is very much drawn to him, and also looks a lot like him. The actual situation for this story is that the female has been very much mistreated by her family and the MC is not one of those guys who is going to hide his power and ability. He is going to go right out and deal with problems not hiding who and what he is. Finally the MC is not really all that faithful the the noble girl, though he does seem like he is going to be very faithful to his daughter. The MC is a shrewd guy who goes after what he is interested in, yet has enough self belief that he has no interest in forcing others into sexual relationships with him. He is pursuing those he want, yet is very pragmatic. There are two fantastical events in the story so far. One is the MC getting the technique that provides all of his powers and abilities, which we only get a very brief memo of the event occurring, the other is where the MC leaves the island and just so happens to come across a cruise ship that his girl and daughter are on.
Meh, not all that good of a story so far. The pluses for this story is the concept of the MC character unknowingly being on the moon and building a massive moon-base and fortifying it against alien attack. Only when some alien's land and are captured does he find out that the alien's are from Earth, and he is on Earth's moon. The author tries to make it more of a serious story but the interplay and the problem's associated with moon missions create a fairly dull and confusing story. The AI characters are also somewhat silly. Why did the one expose himself so easily by capturing the first set of astronauts? At least observe, document, and report to the MC.
Fairly decent for a 'webnovel' story. First off, we have the standard 10K enhancement cheat. This is one of those types of cheats that I normally hate, as they just jump into taking a week character with week attributes and skills and just OP the character to a highly absurd amount. This goes for basically all iterations of the 10K enhancement cheat. This one is not really any better as it does the same, yet it offers a slightly better twist. The enhancement is for anything that he uses his class ability enchantment. So he enchants items to be OP and those around him are also uplifted by his cheat. It is not like he can go around and kill everything and protect everyone. It takes an army to defend the boarders even if there is a single man who can kill anyone he cannot be everywhere at once. The other thing that I really appreciate is how the MC even helps out the guy who wants to suppress him. This being a school level 'grudge' to him is not worth the lives of the 'bully' or his classmates. Otherwise this story is going to have all the normal 10K enhancement story problems. So if you do not have too much of a problem with OP situations than this might be a story for you.
So not a very well told story. The character interactions seem contrived. Then we have the 'Plants vs Zombies' plants being the background. So it starts with a royal knight (F) being chased by a hoard of zombies ending up on his property and his corn that he planted acting like the PvZ corn cob cannon, and defending his property from the zombies. She wants the magical corn for her kingdom and sticks around to try to get his secrets. Another girl a witch or sorceress flies over and is shot down by his corn. She comes and wants to research his corn. He tries planting peas, and out grows 'pea shooters'. Various situations occur that puts him into erotic situations with his guests, and his plants continue to save him from death by zombie, ect... Not the worst by any means, but the story leaves a lot to be desired.
I would have dropped a couple of stars just for that final chapter. One moment we were reading about the MC selling some stuff and being constantly chased, then the next it was like the author skipped the story and just ended it. As for the final chapter being a summery it did a poor job of summarizing the missing content.
I have enjoyed the story so far, as far as I have read it, but I am a bit confused by the lack of fan-fic tag. I guess it is more a situation where the author has imported characters or more entire casts from some stories but did little with the original story itself. The MC is supposed to be somewhat of an antagonist with his system wanting him to steel all the potential heroines and maybe even some not-heroines(bl) from the protagonist characters. The MC in this story seems to be trying to treat people more as a real person would and not as targets, but still with so much imported from other stories I would think that the fan-fic tag would be required.
The first 10 chapters introduce the 5 sisters and their classes, then the MC finally shows up with his class. It being a bard is considered the worst class. It seems that he hides his bonuses from his sisters that fully support him as even at 20 chapters in they are all about supporting their weakling brother who has a pathetic class. First off these girls are supposed to be his sisters that fully support him, why can he not trust them enough to actually sit down and discuss his advantages? Maybe because he is male and Chinese.
Like most I don't really like this one all that much. It starts out with a revenge plot where the MC is betrayed by his hero party and kingdom because of his inborn magical affinity, of being a dark mage. He seemed to have been the whole nice guy who just happens to be using the wrong brand of magic. The first chapter seems to be a bit about it as well as some back story, then the next two back up and tell the tale of the party defeating the demon king and then doing the whole betrayal thing. From this point the story goes on some sort of tangent introducing other characters and story-line. It isn't for another 10 or so chapters that the story gets back to some sort of resemblance of the main story. Of course as I skimmed most of it not real sure what it was about. So this is one of those jump around stories. Oh, you readers are not confused yet, lets just jump some more...
