Plenty of ways to improve despite the Earth Grudge Fear's downsides.

Kakuzu is one of the furthest from fleeting in the whole manga, few lived as long as he did and while he went out like a bitch the truth is we don't know how storied his life had been up to the point he joined the Akasuki. Someone that only and with his strength surely had a lot of adventures.
