Deep into the black market, a particular tall building stood out from the rest, asides from the fact that it was taller than the rest of the buildings, it was lit up and brimming with people, carriages and guards moving around.

"Ugh finally " Adam said, rubbing his palms and licking his lips.

Scarlett arrived at the black market, she was moving swiftly through the crowd of vampires that seemed to be everywhere, of course she was inconspicuous thanks to her invisible cloak.

In the flatlands were flat roofed buildings were congested, stood a woman who looked to be in her sixties, she was wearing a dark cloak and was standing right Infront of open gates but the pacing guards seemed to not even notice her presence.

She walked into the middle building.

"Did that door just open?" One of the guards asked the other "no one passed here so I doubt that" the other replied and the matter was dissolved.

She noticed a vampire sat on an office chair, making a call. She swiftly moved and was soon behind the man, a knife coated with black liquid to his neck.

"Where's Zoey?" A cold old feminine voice sounded.

"Wow, I sure did notice a presence in the room but you were so fast that I couldn't react... Who are you?" Kavi asked, he wore an amused expression. He couldn't see his assassin because she was behind him and had a knife to his neck, he didn't dare move.

"You have the aura of someone familiar though "

"Kavi, where is my granddaughter?" Scarlett repeated, she brought her knife a little bit lower and turned Kavi's chair so he could see her.

"Scarlett? " he had a confused look as he looked at the woman infront of him. "If someone told me that Scarlett would be the one to kill me I would disagree and stand by it till the end " he laughed.

"Kavi. I am not laughing " Scarlett was dead serious, she wasn't trying to make silly jokes.

"You mentioned Zoey... And granddaughter.. pardon, are these two different people?" Kavi asked, his face showed genuine confusion and curiosity with a hint of disbelief.

"Zoey is my granddaughter " Scarlett kept it short "now take me to her or this blade runs through your neck" she added with gritted teeth.

"Kavi, I didn't come here for you to interrogate me, take me to Zoey " Scarlett was now sure that Zoey was indeed probably here.

"Fine, damn you're lucky we haven't sold her yet, she looks like she'll fetch a lot of money. I don't think she has even been marked, that totally skipped mind! Wait, is she also a hannya?" Kavi stood up, Scarlett was even more on guard, she ignored all his questions and rants, her knife was held directly to his neck and she casted a spell that made his arms limp so he could only walk and show her the way.

To outsiders, it looked like Kavi was just walking alone with awkward gestures and stances, they couldn't see Scarlett due to the invisible cloak she was wearing .

He led her to a cell where he thought she would be but she wasn't there. He was a bit surprised but he didn't show it "Hey, where's that girl that was recently brought " Kavi asked the guard incharge.

"Sir, you said to take her to the slave house " the guard answered.

"What! How could I have said that! She hasn't even been marked yet!" "but sir you did say that she..." "just shut up" Kavi frowned and walked out of the building.

"What's going on?" Scarlett asked with a frown "nothing to worry about, just a little situation of misplacement, but she's okay"
