The first rays of sunlight breaking over the horizon were already alive with celebration. It seemed as if this victory against elite warriors made them hopeful once again. People flocked to the square to share the stories of bravery and survival; faces lit up with relief and joy. Children poured into the streets, the danger seemingly never existed, laughing and playing.
