Six hours after the argument between Suda and Geto. It was midnight with snow falling out of the sky. A hungover Geto and Mute could be seen inside a balcony that was on the side of the log house. Mute looked through the dense dark forest while leaning on wooden railings before Geto walked over towards him holding onto his head.
Geto let out a loud sigh as he leaned onto the railing next to Mute before speaking.
" I think we've made a mistake Mute. "
Mute could be heard laughing before he reluctantly nodded his head. Mute kept looking through the dense forest before his hungover brain clicked an idea into his mind before he asked Geto a question.
" Hey, Geto do you think you can teach me how to create a barrier? "
Geto looks at Mute confused before he starts to ponder to himself while holding onto his chin before a grin appears on his face.
" Of course, I can teach you how to create a barrier, but why would you need it? "
Mute quickly responds while pushing his body off the wooden rail.
" I'm not sure myself but being able to create barriers is a useful ability. And besides, when it comes time to battle Gojo, I need every tool in my arsenal to have a chance to beat him right? "
Geto grew quiet until he murmured something under his breath.
" Every tool, huh? "
Geto stood up off the wooden rail before he smirked at Mute and spoke.
" I'll teach you how to create barriers tomorrow. And I'll- "
Before Geto could finish his sentence the door leading to the balcony swung open. Catching Mute's and Geto's attention as they looked back, Mimiko opened the door with a grin on his face. The thing about the log cabin Geto owns is. That it has no heating.
" Hey, Larue has come back with firewood, so hurry and come in before both of you catch colds. "
Geto and Mute quickly walk over towards Mimiko before entering back into the log cabin. Dim orange lights illuminate the log cabin making it feel homely.
Larue and Miguel were next to a brick fireplace. Larue was crouching over, throwing a bundle of firewood into the fireplace. Before he reached up and grabbed onto a lighter that Miguel handed him. Larue quickly lit the firewood before he stood up and looked back. Larue stared at Mute and Geto before he smirked and cockily spoke.
" Look, I've gathered the firewood all by myself. "
Larue started to flex his muscles as everyone stared at him with confused looks. Miguel broke the awkwardness of Larue by talking to Geto.
" So, Geto what are your plans for retrieving Yuta's vengeful spirit? "...
As Geto started to explain his plan, another meeting between the higher-ups was being held. They had just seen the video Geto had recorded. A dire quietness engulfed the call as they finished watching the video.
Until an elderly cough could be heard. Before a raspy old voice spoke.
" Well, this was unexpected. It looks like Geto has become more deranged. He's even thoughtlessly slaughtering sorcerers. Umm, let's think about what we can do. "
Silence once again covered the call. It was clear that higher-ups had become timid, worried about Geto's actions, what Geto predicted was about to unfold. The higher-ups were truly cowards scared of losing sorcerers.
The call remained silent until a young feminine voice spoke.
" How about we station sorcerers in populated towns, and when Geto and his group arrive, they'll call for one of the first grades to come and help. "
The higher-ups pondered her idea until the senior voice spoke once again.
" That'll be pointless. Even if we send a first grade, they'll lose to either Mute or Geto. Truthfully, the only way I can see this ending in our favor is if there's a single big battle that decides it all. "
As soon as the elder finishes his sentence, a deep raspy voice responds.
" I have to agree, the only way Geto and Mute could lose is if Gojo gets involved, and you know he won't listen to anything we suggest. "...
As the meeting started to wrap up, Mechamaru could be seen listening to the call, with Utahime standing next to him, in shock. She never expected Geto to start killing sorcerers. Utahime listened to the higher-ups' suggestions growing annoyed, before she let out a loud sigh. Watching the meeting call end.
" Looks like they still haven't realized the situation. Geto will realize the fact that the higher-ups are kneeling to him, and his attacks on towns will start increasing rapidly. If the higher-ups aren't going to do anything, then we need to take action. "
Says Utahime holding onto her chin before the sliding door next to her slid open catching her by surprise. She watched as Gojo walked into the room with Megumi following him, clearly annoyed.
Gojo smirks at Utahime before speaking.
" Hey, since I was nearby, I decided to tell you this first. I've figured out who Mute is. "
Utahime stares at Gojo shocked, until the grin on Gojo's face grows larger as he speaks.
" Do you remember that kid, which apparently died after the tournament we had years ago? I'm about 90% sure that Mute is Gen Zenin. "...
Back at the log cabin. Mute and the others could be seen standing in front of a lit fireplace. Geto had just finished explaining his plan to retrieve Rika. He spoke about sending thousands of curses into Tokyo and Kyoto. However, the plan reached a struggle. Geto and the others couldn't decide on the name of the plan.
"Let's call it, the 2 angels of death. Because myself and Mimiko are in it. "
Said Nanako with a bright grin on her face. A scoff could be heard from Mute while he was leaning on the log walls of the cabin. Nanako looked over at Mute annoyed before Larue spoke.
" How about 100 demons day? "
The group looked at Larue before simply shaking their heads. Larue looked at the floor defeated until Geto spoke with a grin on his face.
" How about the Night Parade of 100 Demons?"
Before the others could respond, Suda quickly responded with an annoyed tone of voice.
"It sounds good enough for me. But here, this is the cursed tool you asked me to get Geto. "
Suda was holding a pair of tweezers. The tweezers were tightly clamped down on something. Geto grinned before grabbing the tweezers and walking over to Mute. Mute stared at Geto confused until Geto stopped in front of him and spoke.
" Here, when you were talking about tools earlier on the balcony, something came to my mind. Truthfully, this cursed tool gives me bad memories. "
Geto unpinched a small piece of metal, placing it on Mute's index finger. The piece of metal was less than a millimeter long. Mute stared at the piece of metal before increasing its size, turning it into a long rigid piece of metal. The metal was clearly destroyed having several cracks running through it. Mute stared at the cursed tool confused before Geto spoke.
" This cursed tool is called the Inverted Spear of Heaven or it's just a piece of it. This weapon almost killed Gojo, so he destroyed it, however, he accidentally left that tiny piece. I really didn't have a use for the piece of metal since it was basically useless until I remembered your innate technique. The blade's power is the ability to stop the use of all other techniques. So, a man named Toji Fushiguro used it and almost killed Gojo. "
Mute grinned after hearing Geto explain the cursed tool's ability. Mute stared at the rigid blade before he spoke to Geto...
