Rise of the Rebel Girls (One-shot!)

In the deli, the two store owners were chatting up a storm. They were discussing the latest news and gossip in the neighborhood, as well as their thoughts on an upcoming election. The aroma of freshly baked bread and cured meats filled the air, making it hard to focus on anything else. After a while, it went quiet until the glass window of the store entrance shattered into pieces and the two store owners quickly turned their heads to look over, bodies stiffen.

A group of gang members broke in as some of them were holding their bats, iron pipes, batons, and any other breakable weapons they could hold with them to use. As they walked up with confident smirks on their faces, the leader of the gang yelled, "Let's wreck this shithole!!"

The rest of the gang all roared in agreement with their leader, rushing into the store as they headed forward. The store owners were both in shock, eyes widening. "Hey, wait a minute! You can't just come in here and do whatever you want! I'm calling the police!" Quickly grabbing the store phone to call the police, a quick swift of a bat from one of the gang members directly hit the store owner in the head, instantly knocking him out.

"Oh, shit!" The other store owner, who had been standing behind the paying counter witnessed the scene in front of his widened eyes. Taken aback by all of this happening, another gang member suddenly stood at the opening of the counter smirking at him. Immediately catching him in the store owner's sight, the first thing on his mind was to grab something for self-defense, but there was nothing for him to grab. "Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!!" Nervous as he was beginning to get into his situation, he swore repeatedly. Only having such little time to react, the gang member standing at the opening quickly rushed at him and took a swing of his iron pipe into the store owner's head knocking him out.

Now that the owners were out of the way, they could all focus on destroying the store. Taking some food/snacks and drinks out of the stocks, the gang member behind the counter robbed the entire money out of the cash register, completely emptying it. Throwing all of the money into a soft-covered string bag, he tightened the strings once all of the money was in it and tossed the bag at their leader. With a quick catch in his hand, the leader grinned and held the string bag on his shoulder. "Alright! Let's get the hell out of here before the cops show up!" With that command, the leader ran out of the store with his gang following him behind after leaving the store trashed and damaged.

Just when they were about to leave completely, what stopped them in their tracks were two girls standing in their way. One of them carrying a bat on her shoulder, a hand placed on her hip. Her hair was short with the color black in a ponytail, her figure was short with the thickness of her round and curvy body. Wearing only a tank top with a pair of jean shorts, she also wears a pair of green and beige sneakers with white laces. The other girl posing the same way, except she wasn't carrying any weapon(s) on her at all. Her hair was long, straight, and ginger which was to be passed down to shoulder-length, and her body short and slimmed. She wears a black sailor uniform, and a pair of brown school shoes with white loosen socks. Both of their brows narrowed, the two girls noticed the bag on the leader's shoulder and saw the store damaged down the street. "You guys are going to be in so much trouble!"

"Stooping so low as to destroy a store just to rob some money? You all are nothing but scum!" Truly disgusted at the group of gang members who'd do anything to get what they want, the unarmed girl, which stood so confidently, made the gang leader crack a smirk at the corner of his lips.

"Weeelll! What do we have here? A couple of girls who think they can take us on, eh? Pretty cute, I should say." Completely ignoring what they said and the fact they think they could stop them at all, the leader stepped up closer to the girls as he spoke. With a smirk on his face, his teeth were shown as he tilted his head a bit, looking over to the unarmed girl as she was the first target to make his attempted action. "I need a girl anyway, so I think I'll just take you first!" Extending his hand out, he would almost reach and take her arm in an attempt to take her with him.

But the second he was about to reach for her arm to grab it, the girl with the bat widened her eyes once she caught it in her sight. Growling immediately, she swung her bat and whacked him in the head. "Don't you dare touch her!"

Although he may have been struck hard with a bat, it wasn't enough to knock him out. Keeping on his ten toes, the leader of the gang slowly turned his head back at the two girls. The smirk he had before was gone, it was now an angry frown. "That was real sweet, but now you're fucking dead!!"

His angry expression didn't faze the girls, not even intimidate them to the point where they were scared. Maybe just a little, hearts dropping to their stomachs, though they weren't about to give in to their small fear. Seeing as the leader was about to throw a punch at the girl who whacked him in the head, the unarmed girl lunged at him and swiftly threw a quick kick at his head with one foot. "Oh no, you don't!" Her feet landing on the ground, still didn't cause him to fall but did make him stumble back a bit. "Dumbass! Don't you know you can't just hit a girl? That's even lower than you were before!" Sure she knew this was a fight, to begin with, she hoped that would've given him a warning if there was another punch thrown at her again.

A croaking chuckle escaped from his smirking lips, it was now time for the leader and the rest of his group of gang members to get serious. As he lifted his head, looking back at the girls again, he stood up tall again not even fazed at the unarmed girl's little remark. "Oh, yeah? Well, I don't give a shit! As you can see, you girls just made the biggest mistake of your lives!" If the girls would've just kept walking and not stopped them like this, their lives would have been spared and this wouldn't be happening. However, since the girls chose this path, the gang leader decided to bring his entire gang into the fight with him. His attention now on them, he opened his mouth to call out to them. "Ay, get in here and help me beat the shit out of these bitches! Shit's about to get serious!" As he swore in his words, the leader gave the girls a ready grin.

The next moment the girls knew, the group of gang members had run and surrounded the girls in a full circle, leaving no space for them to escape. After being enclosed by these members, the girl with the bat had a quick plan in mind. Looking over at her friend, she decided shortly with a whisper only for her to hear. "Oi, let's do back-to-back." And with that plan in mind, the girl with the gingered hair who was unarmed nodded and stepped behind her with her back turned to her.

After the girls stood behind each other, back-to-back, facing the rest of the gang members, they were more than ready to defend themselves and attack. One gang member had pounced to attack the girl with the bat, but instead of getting hit in the head by one of them, she swung her bat swiftly at their head and knocked them out of her way into the ground. Another gang member ran towards the girl who was unarmed, this one carrying an iron pipe in his hands. Before he could swing and hit her in the head, the unarmed girl dodged his attack and quickly threw a kick at his stomach pushing him back into the other gang members crashing back into a wall. A confident smile grew upon the girl's face, standing back behind the girl with the bat. "Let's keep this up! We can do this!"

"Hell yeah, we can!" Immediately agreeing with her encouragement, the girl with the bat wore the same confident smile on her face as she was fighting alongside her. Because she had someone on her side to defeat every single gang member in their way, she knew she wasn't alone. As another gang member ran up to her carrying a crowbar with them, the girl deflected that attack with her bat and forcefully pushed him back into the other gang members. "Damn, there's so many of them! But we can keep this up, right?"

"Right!" The unarmed girl nodded her head, as her stance kept up. Seeing two members coming up from the front, she threw her kicks at them making them fly back into the other gang members as they cry in agony. "Alright! Now then..." After she was finished kicking off the gang members, the girl looked at where the leader would be standing. He only had two and a few other members standing behind him, which only meant that this time it was two against six altogether.

Grinning like a madman, the leader of the gang couldn't help but be amazed at how long the girls have survived while beating up his members. "Very impressive, girls! Guess this means I shouldn't underestimate ya, huh?" He tilted his head a bit, still keeping up the same grin on his face from before.

"You got that right, bitch! No one should be able to underestimate the power of true friendship!" As her pride got to her, the girl with the bat spoke high and mighty before she looked over to her friend. Hoping she would approve, she added a name indicating they were perfectly close. "Isn't that right, bestie?"

"Right!" The ginger-haired girl nodded her head, letting out a chuckle. "So if you don't want to hand yourselves over to the police, I would make this quick before they show up!"

Before they could continue their fight, a faraway wailing sound came from a distance. Just in the nick of when the girl spoke the last few words part of her sentence, the sounds of wailing came close each time it wailed. Noticing after hearing it echo throughout the streets, one of the gang members looked over to their gang leader and quickly decided to retreat. "Hey, aniki. I think we should head out now. It ain't worth it if we get caught by the cops!"

"I know that, dumbass!" Too pissed to think, the leader turned his attention back to the girls as he pointed with his index. "This isn't over, bitches! Ya just got lucky! Next time we won't go so easy on ya! Come on! Let's go!" He turned the other way, running along with his five gang members behind him.

"We should hurry, too!" The ginger-haired girl looked at her friend, giving her a nod to go. Fledding away from the scene with her as fast as she could, she and her friend managed to escape successfully from the wailing sounds of police vehicles roaming in the streets and before they could catch whoever destroyed the store and stole the money in it.

Pov: the girl with the bat

Yuzuha and I have been friends for a while now. She found me when I had trouble with some teenagers on the street. She thought I needed help and she continue to do so because she knew how I felt during the situation. From that moment on, we started to become friends and help each other fight against some other gang members who were in our way. It was ever since she walked into my life that made me smile.

Hi, I'm Luna. I'm a twenty-two-year-old woman who came all the way from America to Japan. It's always been my dream to live the Japanese life where I can live my own story like in a manga or anime world. But that's everyone's dream. Of course, for those who watch anime and read manga to catch on the story. As for me, now that I'm here, I might as well make it happen. Make it worth my while. This is what I've always wanted ever since I first started on this journey. And you get to see it all, front-row seats. It has been ten years since the gang wars happened in Tokyo. In the year 2015, Luna and Yuzuha decided to look for a job where they could work together. Since everything else was full and taken for people to work in, the only job Luna could come up with was a Cabaret club. Yuzuha was a bit skeptical at first, but it was acceptable to her idea.

Sitting on a curb with her head hanging low as she stared down at the concrete of the streets, Luna lost her idea of working anywhere that was willing to pay her for doing something to help the community. Nonetheless, there wasn't anything in mind for her to think of until she had an idea popped into her head. "Hey, Yuzuha! I think we should work in a Cabaret club! What do you think?"

Once Luna looked over her shoulder to look at her, Yuzuha was already standing in front of a building wall with her back leaned against it and her arms folded in front of her chest. Chewing on a piece of gum in her mouth, looking the other way, her attention switched to Luna's as she faced her head towards her way. "Cabaret club, huh?" Pushing herself off the wall behind her, Yuzuha let her arms fall as she walked over to Luna and bent down to her knees next to Luna. A head tilted to the side, she lifted a brow as she gave her input on her idea. "You sure about that? Have you thought about the fact we have to dance in front of perverts while wearing almost nothing? Plus we have to go home very late since the customers will leave when they want."

"Yeah, so? The longer we stay, the more money we get. That's the whole point of working there in the first place." Yuzuha may had a point there, but Luna was not about to give in. She had her fair share of working at any other place when she was in America, so why not do something new here in Japan? "And it's not like we're going to be wearing almost nothing, there'll be dresses for us to wear. We won't be like strippers, you know." Having a hunch that it'll work out if they try it, Luna could see many possibilities that could happen while working together.

"Luna! The clothes that we will wear to perform... are just a little more than lingerie." Trying not to sound judgmental and horrified by what she said, Yuzuha frowned. "I cannot be a dancer, just imagining it makes me feel uncomfortable! In addition, you know that being a dancer in a cabaret club requires you to be pretty, and I am not pretty to perform..."

"What are you talking about? You ARE pretty to perform, Yuzuha..." Thinking this was already a stupid idea the more Yuzuha explained further, Luna sighed as she dunked her head down while holding her head in her palm. "Look, I just want to get a job somewhere that's going to get us the most money to live. Otherwise... If I don't find a job here, then what good am I if I'm going to stay here?" Not trying to give up on her hope of staying in Japan, her mind was already set on her choice of work if it was planned out like she did. "Is why I suggested we work at a Cabaret Club."

After listening carefully to what Luna said and noticing that she is really determined to work in a cabaret club, Yuzuha shut her eyes and sighed. "Well, I am still not happy about this decision, Luna..." She paused for a moment before reopening her eyes to look back at her. "If you could work anywhere, why did you choose a cabaret? What about restaurants and cafes?" She frowned again. "You know that there is the possibility that we are harassed and touched by bad people..? I just don't want to think about it..." The more she continued, Yuzuha's head lowered down a bit.

With a tilt of her head at her last comment, Luna pointed her thumb at herself. "Nobody's going to touch you... Because they'll have to go through me first!" After saying that out loud to Yuzuha making sure she understood, she stood up from the curb they were sitting on and she placed both hands on her hips, looking up at the bright blue sky. "You know.. You did give me some very valid points there. But are you really going to let that or your thoughts stop you from being successful in life? Tell me, Yuzuha." While speaking out of her mind, Luna switched her attention from the sky down to Yuzuha. Staring down at her with a serious expression, she waited for her to give her response to her question.

After listening to Luna and thinking about it, she was moved by her words and her determination to work in a cabaret club, despite being against it. "No. No, I won't let my thoughts hold me back. Let's try doing it." She smiled softly while looking at the bright blue sky. "The only thing that I need to know is that I have your support. And you need to know that I will cover you and won't leave you if anything bad happens. Who knows? Maybe this will be exciting for the both of us."

"That's the spirit! I knew you'd be down to take this Cabaret journey with me!" Already motivated along with her, a smile appeared on Luna's face. "We have each other to support and protect, so let's make sure we have each other's backs! And... If anything happens, Yuzuha... You let me know. Mkay?" The sounds of her words stated as if she meant it, Luna was going to protect her if something was going to happen to her. Saying that aloud, she hoped Yuzuha would be more moved and more safer, and protected.

Yuzuha smiled and gave a nod at Luna, showing her understanding. "It's great to know that I can count on you. I know that we have each other's backs." Luna's words caused Yuzuha's trust to gain a little more as she smiled more. "As they say, 'United we win together.'" A small giggle escaped from her smiling lips, happy that she mentioned her little quote. "... So the only thing left is to start looking for work as a dancer in a cabaret club... Luna, have you thought about where we can start?"

Glad that she convinced her to go, Luna already looked up a Cabaret she saw on the internet on her phone. As she pulled it out, showing it to Yuzuha, the club she looked at was called "Club Temptation". It had four stars on the site, so it meant that it was almost as good as the other clubs out there. The more the two kept looking further into the site, reading down the information on there, they saw the club was looking for more hostesses at the moment. "This club is called 'Club Temptation'. We need to get in there and fill out an application."

After listening to Luna and reading the information about the club she found on her phone, Yuzuha nodded in acceptance. "Hmm... This seems like a good option." With a confident sound in her voice, after she reconsidered it, she smiled at Luna. "Alright, let's go and fill out the applications in person now. If possible, we might start working tonight!"

By the time the two girls reached the cabaret on foot, they were stopped by the huge exterior of the club. Which had bright lights on it, as well as the big name at the top that says 'Club Temptation' with purple lighting in the background behind the name. Luna and Yuzuha went straight into the club as they looked around the place, feeling a slight breeze sucking in the doorway. Lights enchanting from the ceiling illuminate everything in the club, taking in every detail and the atmosphere of the cabaret. The hostesses were chatting happily with their customers, dancing, and having a great time together. Music playing in the background to every beat and melody, where everyone can listen to and enjoy themselves. A little busy as it seemed, not all too crowded, two managers were already on their feet and running the cabaret. As well as five hostesses sitting with their clients, having good laughs in their conversations and nodding their heads away. A look of the two girls who had just stepped inside the club, one of the managers walked up to them and gave them a welcoming bow. "Oh, hello. You must be the new hires! Welcome to Club Temptation! I am the manager."

Greeting the manager while returning the bow, she introduced herself. "Yes, good afternoon! I am Yuzuha Shiba."

"And I'm Luna!" Giving her bow as well, Luna did the same with a smile on her face. "It's nice to meet you!"

"Nice to meet you!" Eager to learn more about them, the manager began walking with the girls around the club as he was showing them to the ladies' room. "You girls ready for the interview? Don't worry, it'll be quick!"

Both the girls looked at each other with unsure expressions on their faces, mostly Luna's facial appearance. Yuzuha wasn't sure why, but they had to get through it no matter what. As they walked and followed the manager, Yuzuha turned her face back at him and gave a strong determined smile and a nod. "Yeah! We're totally ready!"

Heart dropping to her stomach, Luna thought and felt at the same time she wasn't prepared herself. The only thing that was going through her mind was messing up the interview, saying the wrong things if she answered the questions wrong. Getting judged by them wasn't exactly her strong suit, but she could always try her best to answer the questions correctly. "Y-Yeah.."

"Alright! I like to hear the spirit talking! It won't be easy, but I hope you two can make it through and get the job! You got this!" With high hopes in him for the girls, the manager walked them into the ladies' room in the back. Opening the door for them, he let them in. "Just sit here while I get the applications for you. I'll be back in just a minute."

"Okay!" Nodding in unison, the girls watched as the manager shut the door. Finding somewhere to sit down as there were folding chairs, they grabbed them and took their seats. Sitting across from each other, it went quiet.

The silence in the air made it easier for them to think about what they were going to say in the interview, although a bit nervous about it, as well. To herself, Yuzuha could only think of what to tell Luna to bring her mind at ease. The only thing she could tell her was one thing, hopefully, it would help her stay calm. "Don't think too much, Luna."

"Huh?" Lifting her head as her words were brought to her attention, Luna looked at Yuzuha.

"You looked nervous... I was saying you don't have to worry. Because they will surely accept us if we present ourselves well." Trying to get her mind off of the thought of messing things up in the interview, Yuzuha knew they both wouldn't get rejected. Since this was their first time getting interviewed in a cabaret, she tried to keep calm while waiting for the manager to come back.

"Y-Yeah, you're right." Luna lowered her head back down, Yuzuha's words made her think she could get the job. Having little hope she could do it and would get accepted, she closed her eyes and let out a small deep breath.

Yuzuha noticed her taking a deep breath before tapping on Luna's shoulder to comfort her, speaking softly and quietly. "You can do it, Luna. The hardest part is the beginning of the interview. After that, it'll feel like you're flying through a breeze. You'll pass it even before you know it!" Giving her a reassuring smile, Yuzuha did her best to encourage her. Passing interviews is not easy, but she knew she had it in her.

Luna returned her look at Yuzuha, showing a surprised expression on her face. Affected by sudden words that sent chills up her spine, her eyes widened a bit as she nodded. "R-Right! T-Thanks, Yuzuha!"

In the next moment or so, the manager arrived opening the door in front of him and walking in carrying the applications. "I brought the applications. Here you go." He handed them two papers for each of them to fill out. Even brought paper boards, and two pens for them to write with.

Yuzuha and Luna took the applications, pens, and the board to use to lay the paper on. Having to take those from the manager, the girls began to fill out their applications. With a smile on Yuzuha's face, it took her two minutes or so to finish her application before giving it to the manager. Luna, on the other hand, was taking her a little more than two minutes to finish filling out her application. However, she took her time with it. Knowing that she was on a time limit here, even though there was no rush, she still had to finish hers. Hurrying to write as fast as she could, Luna was done after filling out the last thing on the application before she gave it to the manager. "Thank you, sir." She gave the manager a polite smile, bowing her head down afterward in her chair.

As Luna finished her application, she could hear a faint voice calling for her attention. Hearing the manager calling her name in a firm voice, it seemed he wanted to see Luna separately in a private office for a conversation with her. "Luna, may we talk for a minute?"

"Eh? Uh-! S-Sure!" As nervous as she was, Luna quickly lifted her head for her to look at Yuzuha for help. But she knew she couldn't get help, so she would have to do this on her own. Standing up on her feet, Luna had to prepare herself for the interview knowing that it started as soon as he asked to talk with her for a minute.

Yuzuha nodded trusting her that she could do it and pass the interview, giving her a wink and raising a thumbs up. After turning her thumbs up to a hand holding at the side of her mouth, she softly whispered to her. "You got this." Before watching Luna nod at her, following the manager into the office.

After taking Luna to the private office in the club where there was no one else but them two, the manager gestured the other chair for her to sit down. "So, Luna let's talk about your application." When letting her in to take her seat, he shut the door closed and sat on his own chair across from her. "We are satisfied with the information that you provided on your application, but I would like to ask you a few questions and do an interview with you."

The interview had already begun and she was nervous as all hell was about to mentally break loose, the only thing she could respond to him was a simple yes and an easy bow. "Y-Yeah!"

"That's perfect, let's start." Giving her a nod, the manager started off by asking about her age. With his eyes locked on Luna's carefully, he prepared himself to write on his clipboard. "My first question to you is, are you at least 18 years old to work in a Cabaret?" While waiting for her to answer, the manager looked down at the rest of the questions he had to ask on his sheet.

"Y-Yes!" Bowing her head down again, Luna answered quickly and nervously. However when she answered the question, that wasn't the only thing she could respond with. Knowing that she had more to say, she spoke giving an honest answer. "I-I mean, I'm a little older than that. I-I'm twenty-four years old!"

The manager nodded his head, understanding her honest answer given. Now onto the next question that he had on the sheet, he asked as he looked over to her awaiting her next answer. "Have you ever worked in a Cabaret before?"

"N-No, sir! I haven't!" She bowed her head down in her chair again, answering the question as quickly as possible. "T-This'll be my first time!"

First time, eh? This is going to be a tough ride, especially for a newbie like her. With the next question on the sheet, the manager asked as he jotted down her answers below the question. "Why did you decide to apply at "Club Temptation" in particular for a job?" Wearing a serious and focused look on his face, he was ready to write down her next answer.

"Uh... Well..." There was no denying the fact that Luna couldn't find her voice at the moment, especially with how many questions there were for her to answer. Knowing she was flunking her interview with so much hesitation and anxiety, she wasn't able to keep up with it if it was longer than this. However, this interview needed to happen, and she needed to pass it. Not wanting to waste any more time with her answer or whatever she could come up with, Luna had to think back and remember why she chose this place to work. "I-I was hoping to look for somewhere that pays good for the job. G-Get good hours in, too."

As the manager jotted that down on his clipboard, nodding his head again, he moved on to the next question. "How many hours can you work per week?"

"Er... Eight? Nine?" Honestly, it was just guesses she thought of. There weren't really any exact hours Luna could work per week, but it had to be a good number and a good amount to what she needed.

"Are you comfortable with working late at night?" He added, writing it to his notes as he waited for her answer.

"Y-Yes!" Accepting quickly without a thought, Luna bowed her head down. "I-It's not a problem, b-but I don't have a lot of experience with this job."

The manager did his best to understand her every answer she gave as he been writing them down. She didn't had to bow her head down every time she answered the question, but he had no complaints about it nor said anything about it. Instead, his focus was on the next question he had to ask. "Would you accept dancing at the club?"

Luna lifted her head back up again as she gave him another nod of her head, more than determined now than before. Although, she could still feel her nervousness kicked in but kept answering. "Y-Yes!"

That sounded like it was a good answer for him to entrust the new hire, jotting that down on the paper on the clipboard. After he wrote it down, the manager looked up at her as he tilted his head a bit while asking this next question. "Would you be okay with wearing dresses that reveal a little bit of your legs and midriff while working?"

"O-Of course! I-I wouldn't have a problem with that at all!" Nodding yet again, Luna answered the question quickly. "A-As long as I'm not wearing anything too revealing, I'll be okay with it."

The manager seemed to be proud with Luna's answer, the corner of his lips began to rose. Quickly his corner lips went back to normal, he moved on and asked the next question on the paper. "Do you think you'll be able to fit into the club's dance routines?"

"I-I think so!" Nodding once again, Luna hoped that was the last question for the day. If it wasn't, she might faint soon.

"Are you good at communicating with customers and making them feel more comfortable and entertained during their visits?" Giving Luna another serious look on his face, the manager waited patiently for her answer.

"Er... I-I can try. B-But I will try harder to server them any entertainment they want!" She bowed her head again, closing her eyes.

The manager nodded again, jotting down that answer. After reading the next and final question, he looked up at Luna and waited patiently for her answer. "This last question is a very important one... Would you keep a smile on your face and never show signs of bad temper and irritability while you are wearing your uniform and working?"

Lifting her head up to match eye level with the manager, Luna nodded. "Y-Yes! I will show no signs of bad temper and irritability when working here."

As he listened to Luna's positive answers to his questions, he nodded in satisfaction and was glad that she responded in the right way. He took some notes on his clipboard to review them and after that, he smiled at Luna with a satisfied look on his face. "I'm glad to hear it. You have passed the interview." He gave a positive and reassuring attitude, holding the pen and clipboard on his side as he got up from the chair. "I will inform you of the time for the orientation session for the staff at the club in a few days as well as your work schedule. Just be ready by then."

Looking up at the manager while she was still seated, Luna gave a nod back. "Y-Yes, sir! T-Thank you so much!"

Once he walked up to the door to leave, the manager stopped in his tracks and smiled a bit. Proud that he heard and listened to her answers in this interview, he decided to turn around and look at Luna to say a few words. "It was a pleasure interviewing you. I can understand why you and Yuzuha are going to be great fits for our club now." He nodded once more, reading more into it than he already was. "Since you both chose this club, I'm going to decide to help you two working tonight. If possible, would you be available for a night shift?"

Honestly in disbelief, but happy at the same time. Did she hear that right? A night shift working at the Cabaret for the first time with Yuzuha by her side? It'll be great, just like she hoped it would be. This meant that her dream of working at a Cabaret club was about to come true, as well as living in Japan. With Luna accepting happily, she nodded back at the manager with the best attitude she showed to him. "Yes, sir! I'd be more than glad to be available!"

"Perfect! I'm sure you and Yuzuha will perform wonderfully at the club." Now in a serious voice once more, the manager added with a smile on his face. "Since this will be your first night here, I will be at the club monitoring both of your performances and making sure everything goes well."

"I-I see. T-That'll be fine! A-As long as we do great, w-we shouldn't have a problem, right?" Already in her skittish state, Luna couldn't help but feel at least a little bit worried about how this was going to go. Thinking about it made her question her next move, feeling it might not go as right as she would think it would go.

If only she wouldn't still be nervous since the interview was now over, he'd wish for her to speak comfortably and however she wanted. Wanting her to sound more confident, and if she did, she would've passed the interview with flying colors. She didn't, but the manager wanted to give her a chance to prove what she can do. "Precisely." Nodding before he had one more thing to say, he lifted a finger as he was about to speak again. "And there's one last thing I should let you know."

"W-What's that?" Clueless to what he was going to tell her, Luna looked up to listen.

"Tonight's the 'Golden Night'!" Excited as he was, the manager couldn't wait for this particular event to happen.

"The what, sir?" As if she didn't hear that right, her nervousness got back on her after he said that. What did he meant tonight's the Golden Night? Was it some sort of special event? If it was, Luna wasn't going to be ready for it.

Not to worry at all, the manager knew exactly what was going to be planned for tonight. As he explained it, he wanted to make her feel she wasn't going to be alone. "Golden Night is a special event where customers get a special discount if they visit the club... It happens once a month."

Keeping eye contact with her, he had to make sure that was the last thing he had to let her know before she could start on the job. And with that in mind, there was one last question he had to ask with a firm tone before they could leave the office. "Are you ready for this big event?"

With no more anxiety and mental panic attacks she had to deal with while they were still in the office, Luna's excitement rose as she answered happily bowing her head down in acceptance. "Y-Yes, sir! I'm ready for whatever happens tonight!"

Glad that she accepted with that kind of response he was looking for, he nodded. "Okay, I'll see you later tonight then." Turning to leave the office and opening the door to walk out with Luna behind him, his mind was set on preparing for the upcoming shifts for Luna and Yuzuha.

The moment the manager was out of sight after Luna stepped out of the office, she saw Yuzuha standing in the hallway. Just as excited as she was about working in the Cabaret, she ran over to her while she was very eager and gave her a cute smile. "This is going to be great! We're going to start working tonight! I'm so excited! Aren't you?"

"Totally! It's a dream come true to work at a Cabaret club in Tokyo!" With enthusiasm, while returning Luna's cute smile, Yuzuha had never been more than thrilled looking forward to tonight's work at Club Temptation.

Still smiling with cheerfulness, Luna threw her arms in the air as she began walking with Yuzuha out of the hallway and towards the exit of the Cabaret. "I know, right? I already can't wait for tonight!"

"Same here!" Giggling with her, despite her high-spirited act, Yuzuha followed beside her as she walked out with her.

Later in the evening, as Club Temptation was open, Luna and Yuzuha were getting ready to go to work. Changing into their Cabaret outfits in the women's locker room, Luna wore a silver dress with a V-pattern neckline and transparent skirts that allowed them to show her legs. Yuzuha, on the other hand, had on a short black dress with a one-sleeve design that showed a lot of her skin and a lot of her slender legs. After fixing and finishing her makeup, putting on the final blushes against her cheeks, Luna turned to look at Yuzuha. When she did, she gasped with a surprised look on her face. "Yuzuha, you look so beautiful!"

Hearing her compliment caused Yuzuha to open her eyes slowly, looking in the mirror in front of her. After turning her head to look at Luna, she smiled at her. "Thank you! You look amazing yourself, Luna!"

"You think so? Maybe I put too much makeup on me." Worried that she might've gone overboard putting on the cosmetics on her face, Luna gently brought her hand over her soft cheek.

"No, no." Shaking her head, knowing that she maybe did, but didn't want to make her restart or fix her makeup, Yuzuha gave her a big smile. "You did a perfect job doing your makeup!" Now that she thought about what they were going to do once they headed through the door, Yuzuha couldn't help but go quiet afterward. It was just a few seconds before she started to speak again, in a soft and low voice, she frowned. "You know, this is going to be my first time. I've never done anything like this before. Makes me kind of nervous, not going to lie."

Listening to Yuzuha made Luna think, but definitely, she wasn't alone. Thankfully, they were both doing this together. Eyes were all on hers, her expression slightly changed. "I'm nervous too. This is both of our first time doing this." Even though she wanted her to let her know that, there was something else that needed to be reminded of other than fear. "But we're here to get paid, remember? So, we'll have to try our best out there."

"Yeah, you're right." Nodding at her recalling what they were mainly here for, Yuzuha agreed with her. It was true to what she said, but still, she couldn't stop having the feeling of a little bit of worry and unease.

About two minutes later, they were called to step out of the women's locker room. After they both left the room to head to the main floor of the Cabaret, the time was 8 in the evening and the place seemed to be very busy. All the other women sitting with the customers were having great laughs, enjoying the Golden Night at Club Temptation. Luna and Yuzuha took their place behind the front desk in the main lobby of the club, greeting more people as they entered and handing them their discount tickets for the night. As well as giving them information about the night's programs, they smiled at them. Just about greeting a few customers, Luna turned her head at Yuzuha and checked up on her. "How are you doing, Yuzuha? You excited now?"

Returning her expression, Yuzuha nodded. "Hell yeah! I think I'm doing better than I thought!" She cocked her fist in the air as she placed the other hand on her hip, giving a determined smile on her face.

"Glad to hear it! Let's try to give it our best tonight, okay?" Happy they were finally working together on their first day in the Cabaret, Luna nodded at her as she was passing out the tickets to customers. While speaking with her, she knew at that moment how a little stressed and overworked this journey would be. By trying to put her mind back on track, she wanted to show her optimism. "I know this is a little nerve-wracking for the both of us, but we're going to do great! We'll be fine!"

Smiling at her persevering attitude, Yuzuha's smile grew bigger along with hers. If her words didn't cause her to relax a little, why would she continue working at the front desk seeing more customers walking in? Told by one of the managers, she knew tonight was the 'Golden Night' and there had to be more of them coming in. "Yeah! Thanks, Luna. You're the best!"

A few hours had passed by and it was time for the event to happen. As Yuzuha and Luna could see the club getting busier and more active, things were getting a bit hectic. They were about to be, until a certain someone walked in through the doors, hands inside their pockets, their expression bored with a frown. South Terano, a 27-year-old male. Wearing a suit and a bun at the top back of his head. With nothing but silence leaving him, his eyes scanned the club. Searching for the perfect hostess to request, South did nothing but stand in the same spot for a few seconds until he saw a female standing at the front desk. Instantly spotting her in his sight, he took his steps up to the desk until he stopped. Eyes completely on her, South finally spoke which caused dominance to both of the females standing there. "Hey~ Why don't you be my new girlfriend? I can treat you to nice places and give you anything that you want!"

Was he trying to be friendly? Or was this a joke? This tall male he looked at was Luna, who stood there looking a bit weak. Fingers separated from each other as she looked up gazing at him, her expression looked a bit frightened. Not at all expected to see him, she said no words to him but a forced-out breath of air. "Uh-!"

Immediately noticing who the male was, Yuzuha stepped in and disapproved of South's fascination. "I'm sorry. She's going to be who's new girlfriend now?"

Hearing the sound of her voice made South's head turn to look at her, his eyes fixed on hers now. With a grin lifted at the corner of his lips, he spoke back and decided to change his mind. "You know what? Why don't you both be my new girlfriends?" Grinning from ear to ear, he showed his teeth.

This guy could not be any more serious than he is now, especially with the way he just asked them to be his girlfriends. Knowing the answer was going to be a straight-up no, Luna decided to speak up. "Hell no! As if I want to be your girlfriend! Who are you, anyway?"

South returned his attention to Luna, his expression changed slightly with a small grin. "I'm South Terano. Used to be a leader of the Rokuhara Tandai gang, one of the most powerful gangs in all of Tokyo. But I don't do all that nowadays.. I'm just looking to pick some girls and hoping to be mine for the rest of my life. So, I'll ask again." Before he questioned the girls, South leaned his head down at them and focused his eyes on them as he spoke. "Won't both of you ladies be my girlfriends?"

Getting angered at the way he asked again, Yuzuha forced a sound through her teeth. "Tch!" A bit shocked to hear his words, she still managed it pretty well. "I can't believe this. You, of all people, would ask us to be your girlfriends? What a dumbass..." With her brows narrowed, the sound in her voice raised a bit as she felt her body shriveling in intimidation. Though she didn't want to make it seem like she was scared of him, she held it to her own. "I don't think we want to be your girlfriends! We're very busy working right now and I don't think we have any time for romance! So, if I were you, I'd kindly turn around and leave!"

Hearing the commotion going on, the managers had to intervene in the situation. As he held a hand up in the air between them, one of the managers spoke in a firm tone. "Sir, please don't bother my hostesses like this. If this continues, I will have to ask you to leave."

"Eh?" The minute he noticed one of the managers confronting him, South lifted his head. Pulling away from both of the lady's faces, he turned to face the manager. "Bothering your hostesses? I don't recall doing that at the moment. If anything, I was asking them to be my girlfriends. Is that so bad?" While speaking, he walked up to the manager and began to raise his voice at him.

Trying to keep their reputation as managers of the club going, he had a serious expression on his face. Trying to keep calm while glancing at South, not wanting to make the situation awkward, he spoke in a firm but calm tone. "Sir... These hostesses are not meant to be your girlfriends. Just because you're a paying customer here doesn't mean you can say anything you like and act in that way while you are inside the club. They are our employees and are here to focus on doing their job." Getting very annoyed with South's attitude as he spoke, the manager raised his voice and kept his cool in handling the situation. "So if we are done here, we would like to ask you to leave or else you'll be banned from the club."

"Hmmmm..." With South's eyes glared at the manager, he stood there as his hands were relaxed inside his pockets. But even though they were, it was almost as if his hands were turning into fists. Getting ready to throw a single blow at the manager's face, he stopped himself. South knew that if he did, it would cause more trouble for himself than anything. Still being watched by the people around him in the club, he decided to do nothing but pull back.

The manager looked back at the girls, signaling them to go back to their positions. "Come on ladies, let's be professionals about this, okay?"

"Alright." Luna nodded at the manager before looking back at Yuzuha, directing her to the entrance of the club. "Come on, Yuzuha. Let's go back."

"Okay." Nodding her head back at her, Yuzuha had one more thing to say to South before she could go back to work. "South... The only reason we both denied your offer of being your girlfriends is that we continue working. As hostesses of this cabaret club, we don't have time for relationships at the moment. I hope you can understand that." Trying to speak nicely and politely as best as she could, Yuzuha explained her denial of his proposal.

South gave a mean look down at Yuzuha, fists resting inside his pockets. After listening to whatever she had to say, South quickly pulled his hand out and swung his backhand directly at Yuzuha's face, hitting her cheek. "Shut the fuck up, stupid bitch!"

As everyone watched with gasps synced, and jaws dropping, the manager quickly had to raise his tone. "Sir! Why would you do that? You must leave and never return to this club!"

As soon as South's hand struck Yuzuha's face, she was stunned for a few seconds as her cheek began to sting badly. Not wanting things to get worse, she decided not to argue with him and spoke in a calm voice. Feeling the part where she was struck, Yuzuha rested her hand over her cheek after the anger that South had caused her. "I'm sorry that you couldn't understand my words, it seems that you have anger issues." She spoke quietly, staring at him with the same look.

"You bet your sissy ass, I have anger issues! Nobody gives a damn about your sorry-ass explanation for your denial!" Now with his voice raised, South had his mouth wide open enough to yell. When doing so, he thought it was his turn to have the floor of speaking. "You didn't have to add all that extra stuff! But you did anyway! What makes you think you can open your little mouth and make me hear what you have to say, huh?!" The further he yelled, the more he was getting angry in the situation. While he continued, not once did South turn around for a swing of the back of a pan to hit the back of his head, causing the end of his sentence to cut off. "What you should've done was keep your mouth shut, like a good little girl that you-!"

That loud bang to the back of South's head came from the back of a pan which Luna used to hit him with, keeping her hands tightly on the handle. After seeing what South did to put his hand on Yuzuha's face like that, there was no way she could give him another chance to speak. The sound in her voice changed deeply and roughly, mixed with her anger of enrage. "They said. To leave. And never come back to this club!! Ever!! Get. The fuck!! Out of here!!" The tone in her voice raised to the point she yelled with fury, removing the pan from his back head and then pulling her arms back getting ready to swing and hit again. "Huh?"

Before she could do that again, one of the managers stopped her as they quickly took the pan away from her hold. "I'll be taking this. My apologies."

Yuzuha took a quick step back and looked at Luna with a worried look on her face. She was shocked to see Luna's angry attitude towards South, she was too stunned to say a word. After she realized what just happened in front of her eyes, this was no time to be in shock or be surprised at Luna's anger towards South. "Luna..."

The fast swing to the back of South's head from the pan didn't cause him to be knocked out so easily, except he stood there rubbing the back of his head massaging the minor pain away. With how tall and built his figure was, the sound of his hissing through his teeth was small. As the other manager watched him, he tipped his glasses closed his eyes, and spoke. "Sir, you need to leave. This will be the last time I will tell you."

"Gah! Fine! This cabaret blows, anyway!" Before he would leave the club, South took one more chance to look at the girls. Pausing for a moment to think about his next move the next time he saw them, he then forced a puff of breath escaping his wide mouth. Turning his entire body to turn his heel, making his way towards the doors and exiting the club himself.

With South gone, the club soon came back to normal. Since the coast was clear and there wasn't any more drama, Luna quickly went to Yuzuha and checked on her face. When she saw her face, she noticed how red it had gotten since South swung his hand to her face. "Yuzuha, your face. It's red."

When Yuzuha's face was touched, she winced because of the stung and hurt her cheek. Not wanting to make Luna worry about her condition, she took a deep breath and spoke to her while looking at her in the eyes. "I-I think it's because of the hit I got from South Terano." While touching her cheek tenderly, she didn't smile nor tried her best not to be in pain as she spoke a bit softly. "Does it really look that bad?" Frowning at what she heard from Luna, Yuzuha looked at her.

"Yeah, kind of. Let's go to the lady's room. I'll try my best to make your face all better. Come on!" Grabbing and pulling at Yuzuha's wrist, Luna leads her toward the ladies' room to get her face patched up.

After Luna took her inside the lady's room, Yuzuha had a surprised look on her face but followed her in any way. When they entered in, she went up to the mirror to look at her face. Seeing her swollen cheek with redness, her expression changed to being upset for letting it happen. Not trying to complain about it, she waited patiently for Luna to take care of her. And until a minute later, Yuzuha could see Luna in the mirror behind her with an ice pack holding at her hand.

"Here. Use this on your face, Yuzuha." Luna handed over the ice pack, wanting her to feel better.

Giving her a nod, she took the ice pack. "Thank you, Luna." After gently placing the ice pack on her swollen reddened cheek, Yuzuha hissed in pain. Trying to suppress her pain and anger, she let out a deep breath to cool herself off. After those few deep breaths, she spoke to Luna. "I'm not sure why I always have to get into an argument with someone. I'm just trying to do my work as a hostess, and some guy comes in and wants to get me to be his girlfriend then he gets angry when I reject the offer..."

Hearing her out, Luna sighed. "I know, Yuzuha. I really don't know what was the point of all that. It was too much of a scene, especially in a cabaret club such as this one. I don't understand why he had to come to this one when there's plenty of them out there." While speaking, she looked down at the ground. Not understanding what went down tonight and why it had to happen, the most un predictable way it would happen, too.

After listening to her friend and being supported by her, as she always was, she also gave out a sigh of relief but stayed quiet until she finished calming down. "I'm sorry, I always get upset over little things... I need to control my temper a bit better and be more careful with what I say next time..." In a disappointed tone as she looked at her friend, even if she was not angry, she was still upset, and she could see that from her facial expression.

As soon as Luna looked up at Yuzuha, she noticed her facial expression as she held the ice pack in her reddened turning slightly pink cheek. Not wanting Yuzuha to be upset at the moment, instead, she turned the conversation around her. "No, Yuzuha. I got angry, too. When South put his hand on you, I lost it! He should have never slapped you like that, especially in front of everyone like that!" After speaking, Luna suddenly had an idea that popped up in her mind. Giving Yuzuha a look, she hoped that she would be thinking the same thing she was. "You know what we need to do, right?"

Giving her a confused look at first, Yuzuha tilted her head a bit with her eyebrow raised. Now getting very curious about where she was leading this conversation, she tried to give a small guess but failed. "Do we have the same idea in mind? Does it involve other people to join in on this?" Still pressing the ice pack to her sore cheek, she heard Luna's question once her ears pricked up a bit. "What are you trying to get at? What are we supposed to do? Do tell." Once she stopped pressing the ice pack on her face to look at Luna, Yuzuha suddenly gave a mischievous smile as her eyebrow raised again.

"Okay, to answer your question, no it doesn't involve other people. It's just going to be the two of us." As she started to explain, Luna's eyes locked on hers while she continued. "What I'm trying to get at is we figure out a plan to get back at South for the slap on you. It'll be a revenge type of thing. Since he hit you, you'll be able to get your lick back. If we plan this right at the right time, we'll get him back, no balls! How does that sound?" Hoping this is going to work out, even if her plan fails, she and Yuzuha will always figure out a way to make it work.

Yuzuha listened to her plan and couldn't help but feel surprised. Was Luna even serious? Or joking around? But then she got a hint that it was not a joke from the serious expression that she had. Yuzuha thought that any revenge-type of the plan was childish, but she couldn't help but feel a little excited when it came to her friend's plans. Looking at her with a wide smile on her face, she seemed satisfied with this little idea of Luna's. "I like the sound of that! I'm in!" The devious and mischievous look on Yuzuha's face brightened and the corner of her lips curved upwards. She liked this idea that was given to her and felt it was a great plan to get back at that mean bastard, this was her chance to pay back the man who caused her pain. "This idea is pretty great! I want to get back at South Terano! He needs to learn a lesson for the pain that he caused me and I want revenge!"

Luna was already looking proud and confident at her words, even the expression she had on her face. A smile formed on her as well, she had been determined to already be on her A-game about this. She was positive they were going to get their revenge, Luna had a great feeling about this. "Hmph! Yeah, me too, Yuzuha!"
