CH 52: Low Risks, High Rewards

(A/N: So I've decided to make a random dragon deck in Duel Links. As in it doesn't have a theme or a meta, it's just good old dragons put together for fun. I've got these cards for now by spending the tickets I didn't use nor could use for actual cards that I need. Because that's what they are there for.

Kidmodo Dragon x3 (for special summoning)

Vanguard of the Dragon x3 (for sending Kidmodo Dragon to the GY and can be a one hell of a heavy hitter)

Assault Wyvern x3 (for special summoning)

Genesis Dragon x2 (for switching Kidmodo Dragon between GY and hand)

Prime Material Dragon x3 (doesn't let monsters be destroyed by an effect and can be comboed with Kidmodo Dragon)

Divine Dragon Lord Felgrand x1 (heaviest hitter I could get without spending gems)

Tyrant Dragon x1 (got scammed for it because it said I could special summon it from the GY by tributing a dragon, but it doesn't work. I knew I should've picked White Night Dragon instead)

Five Headed Dragon x1 (goat of random dragon decks)

Dragon's Mirror x1 (only had one and works the best with this deck's strategies)

Red-Eyes Black Dragon Sword x1 (come on, do I need to say it?)

The Claw of Hermes x1 (only had one for some reason because I accidentally got it a few years ago)

Power of Guardians x1 (one of the most asshole cards there is, so it should've been in the deck)

Wall of Disruption x1 (also one of the most asshole cards there is, so it should've been in the deck)

I'm stuck at what dragon themed spell and trap cards I should put, that's why I decided to ask. Any suggestions? Note that I made this up without spending gems, alright? So it sucks the least it can for a free deck.)

As the two stared at each other, neither of them said anything. Ali with mischief in his eyes, and Alexis with slight annoyance and shyness. "So what now, fiancee?" The noiret cocked an eyebrow, making Alexis's face twitch as she smirked :"Did you really take that duel seriously even though I couldn't even put a word in? What about all that talk we had?"

Suddenly, Ali laughed out loud, confusing the beautiful blonde :"What's so funny?" he smirked :"Geez, don't worry, Alexis. I wasn't taking that duel seriously. It was just a joke for me, and I wanted to kick that creep's ass. Obviously, I wouldn't take marriage and stuff so lightly."

Pulling back his chair, he sat next to Zane, smiling mischievously :"I wouldn't need to win a duel against some punk to make you want to marry me anyway. I have all of my looks and charisma for a reason, sweet cheeks. And my sexy Russian voice for that matter, Dorogaya (Dear). Tot, kogo ty, kazhetsya, tak lyubish'. (The one you seem to love so much.)"

Alexis's face twitched again, out of annoyance and arousal. She couldn't help but rub her thighs together to get some friction, some relief from the ache between them whenever she heard his sexy voice speaking so sexily. His voice was deep, but not rough, low, but not grumpy. It was clear and soothing, smooth and sweet, while wild and unwavering like fire. It set a sort of fire in her guts. Something she had never felt with anybody else.

"Geez, quit it, will you?" She grumbled, almost pouting and making Ali chuckle :"Alright, alright, I'll lay off. So, Zane, whatcha got that is so important we all had to gather?"

Zane :"Actually, I had called just you and Alexis. I didn't even call them."

Mindy, giggling :"We couldn't let Alexis hug all the attention of the hotties."

Ali :'As much of a bitch as always.' "Whatever, they're already here. So what did you wanna talk about?"

Zane, smirking :"Something I bet you'll like."

Ali :"Oh? Then it either has something to do with DP or cards."

Zane :"First option. Do you guys want to earn some nice Duel Points?"

Ali, interesting :"How much are we talking about?"

Zane :"Depends on how much you're putting on the line. I'm talking about betting."

Ali :"Huh, didn't expect you to be a gambler. That shit's not good, bro, you should quit."

Zane :"Bitch, I'm not a gambler. Let me give more details. You know how your and Alexis's duel with the Paradox Brothers has gained a lot of attention, right?"

Alexis :"Yeah, if the ruckus these guys have been causing is anything to go by."

Zane :"Right, for these special occasions that gain so much attention, there is a very high chance that the academy will allow a betting system to be made among the students for it, while a teacher supervises it. I've heard from someone that not only has it been confirmed this time, but some students that have caught wind of it have already betted."

Jasmine :"Oooh, so you're saying that we should bet too."

Zane, smirking :"Exactly. But here's the catch, a lot of students hate Ali. To the point where every student that has already betted, has betted against you two instead. Everybody's sure that you two will lose, and mixed with how much they hate Ali, they've all betted against you two. I'm not saying this because I think it will happen, it already has. The teacher who supervises bets like these is someone I know. He's the one who told me what's happening."

Ali, smirking :"Oooh, I get it. So since the odds of us winning are definitely low by a significant amount, we'll get a shit ton of DP if we bet on me and Alexis!"

Zane :"Exactly. That will definitely get us a huge amount of DP when you win."

Ali :"You're rather confident in us winning."

Zane :"Of course I am. You two are the best duelists I know, and you're my best pal. Who would believe in you if I didn't?"

Amused, Ali let out a chuckle as he slapped Zane's shoulder, a small smile on his face :"Thanks, bro." Earning a smirk from his friend :"No problem." Causing the girls to smile at the friendship. Especially Mindy who whispered to herself :"Oh, my, this is awesome! I definitely need to include it in my fanfiction!"

Causing Ali's face to twitch :'I will just act like I didn't hear that.'

Alexis :"That does sound like a good plan. How much will we gain though? I don't know much about gambling and betting."

Zane :"If I'm right, a lot. At least, at LEAST ten times the amount of DP you put in according to what the supervising teacher, Mr Jack, has told me."

Alexis :"Ten times?! Really?!"

Ali :"That's how gambling works. The lower the odds of whoever you're betting on, the higher the benefits you'll get. And I know just how to lower the odds of us winning, and the Paradox Brothers losing."

Looking at the look and smile on his face, it wouldn't take a genius to know he was going to start trouble. Especially Zane, who had seen Ali's smiles a good few times to know the kind of ruckus he was going to cause when each one appeared.

Standing up, the noiret took a deep breath, before shouting loudly :"Hey, you ass faces!" Gaining their attention, he flashed them the most mocking and taunting smile he had :"As you all retards know, I'll be having a duel with the Paradox Brothers with dear Alexis! But before that, I'm gonna be practicing a bit! By beating the absolute dogshit out of every last one of you idiots!

But don't worry, I value my time way too much to duel each and every one of you one by one! So I'll be taking every last one of you pathetic weaklings in a single duel! One me VS how many fucking idiots you have on your side! So, do you have the balls to do it? I bet not."

"What did you say?!"

"Damn it, you're going too far!"

"This asshole!"

"I'll teach you a lesson, you bastard!"

Cries out outrage echoed around the enormous room as the Obelisks rose to their feet, glaring at the noiret :"Come on, everyone! Let's take him down!"

"Yeah, I don't believe for a second that he'll win against all of us!"

"You wanna go, Ashborne?! Fine, let's go!"

"Let's show him his place!"

"My place? Hahaha, I think you have Alzheimer's, cause you're the ones forgetting your place." Ali chuckled, but instead activating either of his duel disks at the Obelisk Blues ready to duel, he wiggled his finger at them :"Not now though. The stage isn't ready."

"Huh, he's backing off!"

"Yeah, he's just scared!"

"That was all big talk! He's all bark and no bite after all!"

They laughed, but Ali laughed back :"No, no, idiots. It's not your turn yet. First things, I should start from the bottom, right?" Confusing them all before his smile turned demonic :"What, you thought I was just going to kick the asses of the idiots in Obelisk Blue? I'll be taking on the entire academy, fuckers! First, I'll mess up the Slifer Red dorm, then the Ra Yellow, THEN it's your turn!"

Throwing his head back, his villainous and evil laughter echoed throughout the place, sending shivers down the spines of everyone :"But don't worry, it won't take long. After all, I'll only be having fun with the Slifer Red students. For the other dorms, it'll only take a turn each for me to win."

"Fuck, this crazy bastard..."

"He's insane..."

"Huh, I bet he's just saying that to run away from this duel!"

"Yeah, there's no way he'll do that! He just wants to get away from here!"

They sweated, trying not to show fear looking at that insane smile and face of lunacy. He wasn't mad at their words though, he was having too much fun. The noiret simply smirked :"Don't worry, that won't happen. After all, Dr Crowler just heard everything himself. Right, Dr Crowler?"

Seeing that his cover had been blown, Crowler got out of his hiding spot with a nervous laughter :"Of course, of course! There's no way Ali of all people would do something like that! And I'm witness to this situation as well!"

"See? Everything's solved." Ali smiled kindly, before turning to Crowler who came to him :"Dr Crowler, would you be kind enough to set a small tournament between each dorm and me for tonight by talking to the Chancellor, please? Just a big match, really. Since there will be only three duels."

Crowler :"Huh? Well, yeah, it can be done. But why a tournament? You can just duel them normally even if it's an entire dorm against a single person, you know?"

Ali, smirking :"Of course I can, but that wouldn't bring me any benefits or rewards other than flexing by being an absolute asshole."

Crowler :"Oooh, so you want a reward for beating the students of every dorm. That makes sense."

Ali :"Well, not all of them. Zane and Alexis along with Jaden are off the list. Those I will duel personally another time. But other than them, anybody who's not a pussy, will be my opponent."

Crowler :"Oooh, of course! You are dear friends after all!" 'Damn it! Just when I thought I could bring down that Slifer slacker down a notch!'

Ali :"So? Can it be arranged?"

Crowler, smugly :"Well, of course! I'm not the Vice-Chancellor for no reason. I can set it up without asking the Chancellor as well!"

Ali :"Fantastic! I knew I could always count on dear Dr Crowler!"

Crowler :"Hahaha of course, of course! But what reward do you want?"

Ali, Smirking :"For each dorm I win against, my current DP will be multiplied by five times."

"..." Crowler was speechless. He needed a second to process what he had heard. And when he did, his eyes went wide in shock :"Five times?! Yours?!" Others didn't know, and we're just annoyed by what he asked for. But Crowler? The person who knew how much DP he had? He knew just what the heck kinda reward he was asking for.
