#Chapter33
/"W-Who?/" I stammered, not trusting myself to do anything else.
/"Don't go anywhere,/" Damien frowned. /"I need to check if anyone's here./"
I didn't want him to leave me and go, but I knew that I had to. He wouldn't listen to me anyways. I was shivering and it wasn't because of the cold. The message was for one of us. Was it for me? Was it Rick? Or was it someone from Damien's past. Somehow, it seemed highly unlikely.
I walked to the door, the strong stench of blood making me nauseous. I wrinkled my nose, just as Damien came back. He caught the smell too and his face twisted with disgust.
/"Did you find anything?/" I asked, moving next to him.
He shook his head. /"Whoever it was, covered their tracks very well. Do you think its someone you know?/" I knew what he was implying at. Rick. Would Rick do anything like that? Would he really stoop so low?
I shook my head, /"I really don't think its Rick./"
