Chapter 3. YOU ALSO HAVE FEELINGS

Just like how Jael was familiar with Cate's body,Cate was equally familiar with his.She effortlessly stirred up his deepest desires.She lightly breathed into Jael Sweeny's ear,her smile deepening,"You feel it too,don't you?"Jael Sweeny her kiss his lips and he felt as though a fire had been ignite in his heart,almost burning away his sanity.This woman was like a poison,a deadly addiction.

Jael pressed her down onto soft,spacious bed ,listening to her moans,and chuckled deprecatingly.Let it be.No matter what her intentions are ,atleast in this moment ,this woman I love is mine."

The next morning, when Jael woke up,there was no one besides him.He got dressed and heard the clanging sounds of cooking from the kitchen,the aroma of food wafting out.A slender figure was busy inside.Cate hummed a tune as she served the porridge and deftly two eggs,flipped them with a spatula. This scene was almost identical to seven years ago, when they were still together. Sweeny stared at Cate, wishing he could grab her shoulder and demand to know what happened back then. But he also knew Cate would say nothing. This woman was smart and cunning, able to weave lies with perfection. Even if she said nothing, Jael couldn't do anything about it. Cate was his natural enemy Jael Sweeny had known this for a long time, but he still couldn't control himself and could not let her go!

Cate skillfully directed him and deftly scooped the fried eggs onto the plate."Are you awake? Come and take the porridge over here."

He stood for a moment before speaking heavily. "Cate,what do you really want?"

Whether it was misconception of Jael or not,Cate hand holing the plate tremble imperceptibly, the amplitude was so small that it was almost unnoticeable.

"What do I want?"She smiles at Sweeny, didn't I already told Mr.Jael Sweeny that I just want money?"

Jael's eyes flickered with complex emotions as he asked," How much do you want?"

Perhaps she did not expect Jael to say that.Cate was stunned for a moment, fridgeted with the hem of her clothes and said ,"Alot probably around sixty to eighty million. "

This number was completely made up by her on the spot, but Sweeny nodded in agreement .

"I can give you that money."

Cate was truly stunned this time for a while.

Jael continued, ''As long as you accompany me for a period of time,I will add another twenty million on top of that.

"...."

Cate lowered her long eyelashes, concealing the struggle in her eyes. It took her a few minutes before she spoke. "Mr.Jael shouldn't be a kind of person who lacks women, right?''

"Don't misunderstand." Jael said coldly, "As you know ,my grandfather really likes you. I need you to appear as my girlfriend to reassure him."

Cate self-mockling hooked the corner of her mouth. Yes ,she came back this time with a purpose, and Jael Sweeny request was just what she wanted.

"Sweeny is really straightforward. "Cate casually placed the plate of fried eggs on the table,her slender white arm hooked around his neck." I promised take Jael feelvlike it's worthy it."

Worth it?

For a moment, Sweeny couldn't quite explain the feelings in his heart. This woman ,as she had said,had only come back to make money, but even so,he didn't want to let go.

The facts that he himself found ridiculous only made him more willing to indulge the sweet illusion constructed by money, even though he knew it was fake.

Jael Sweeny arrived at the company and instructed the secretary to send some necessity to the apartment.

The apartment had been vacant for seven years,and Cate ad just returned yesterday, so she naturally wouldn't have had time to take care of these things.

"...Yes, find two more hourly workers to clean up.'

Hanging up the phone ,Jael rubbed his forehead, then he saw Robin walking in.

Jael Sweeny said in a flat voice, "remember to knock next time you come into my office. "

Robin had been just outside the door and had heard jael's instructions to his secretary clearly.

Who else could make Sweeny worried, besides that woman?

She had been his side for so many years, never leaving or abandoning him , and yet she still couldn't compare to a woman who had left him!

Robin was so angry that she was bleeding, and she forgot to knock as she barged straight into the office.

Upon hearing jael's words, she realized her own loss of control and covered it up by stroking her long hair and saying,"I'll remember next time. "

Fortunately, even if it was just for the sake of her father's face,Jael wouldn't turn to his face over such a small matter.

Yesterday she booked a private room in her father's name,but Jael Sweeny hadn't shown up at all.

Early in the morning, she rushed Robin Sweeny's residence,only to hear Jael instructing someone to clean up the apartment that had been unoccupied for seven years. Cate!

That name had been a thorn in Robin's side,and regretted not have been more ruthless with her back then, and just killed her outright! Wait a minute. It's not too late to do it now. A malicious thought slowly took shape in Robin's mind,and after leaving Jael's residence, she made a phone call directly." Do you remember that woman from seven years ago?"She raised twisted smile and said in hatred ,"Tell Tayro to kill her,make it clean, and leave no trace." Inside the apartment Cate unpacked her luggage and took out her phone make a video call."Don Don."She greeted with a smile and asked, "Is Greg doing well?''The woman on the phone screen rolled her eyes and stepped aside, saying,"see for yourself. "The screen switched to a pure white hospital room,where a little boy who looked no more than five or six years old lay on a hospital bed,hooked up to a ventilator, his face so pale that it almost blended in with the sheets and walls, with faint blue veins visible . Cate eyes flashed with tenderness as she murmured,"He's gotten thinner again,"There's nothing we can do ,we can only sustain his life with a nutrient injection now,if we can't find ...."Don words abruptly stopped, and she awkwardly changed the subject, "Never mind that,how are things on your end,is everything going smoothly?"

Cate knew Don didn't want to make herself sad,so she went along with her words and said,"It's okay. Oh,by the way, Jael Sweeny gave me some money. I'll send to you later. "

"Money?"Don frowned ,"Are you getting back together with Jael Sweeny?"

"How is that possible?" Cate laughed, with hint of melancholy in her expression. "He probably hates me now, after all..."
