Learning Spells For Next Adventure

The three spell scrolls given by Sarah to Heizen were Healing Touch, Leaf Shield, and Nature's Ally. They were all beginner-level spells helpful in the wild. 

The spells were recorded in the arcane language. Heizen saw many complex runes and incantation methods. 

"You can first learn the 'Healing Touch' spell. Since you are a beginner mage and good at close combat, it will be more useful." Sarah said but then remembered something.

"By the way, what did you choose as your first spell?"

Heizen dodged their eyes and replied. 

"I chose a combat-oriented spell but only got Vine Lash with no other options." 

Sarah and Sophie looked at him weirdly. But at last, they didn't say anything. 

"Since you are already at level 10, you should practice channeling of mana. Mana and Mental power are directly related. The more mental power you have the more mana you can use and regenerate during the fight." Sarah explained. 

"Yeah, I was about to go to the forest to hone my skills." Heizen also nodded. He had already decided to go to the forest alone. 

"Ok, be careful. Goodbye." Sarah stopped bickering and quickly said bye. She seemed to be in a hurry. 

Sophie rolled her eyes at her antics. She knew why she was so anxious. So, she also waved at Heizen. 

Heizen looked at their leaving figure and placed the scrolls in his portable space. He was using the mana ring as a decoy since the space was too small. 

After leaving the Sirus Mage Academy, he went out of town without delay. According to Bernard, the periphery of the Forbidden Forest was generally safe. 

So, this time he went to the west side of the Forbidden Forest. He heard many small monsters like Goblin, Ogre, Cyclope, etc., are found there. 

With increased levels and powerful stats, Heizen was very energetic. It didn't take long for him to reach the periphery. 

After arriving at the forest, he activated the only Mythical skill Divine sense. He felt that everything around 500 meters was on his radar. 

From this god's perspective, it didn't take long for him to find a goblin camp. The chieftain was only at level 8. However, they were perfect for practicing. 

Heizen came near the camp without hiding his figure. He first chanted the incantation for Vine Lash with his hand on the staff. 

Suddenly, the surrounding mana stirred and multiple thorny vines appeared around the Goblin Chieftain. He could easily control the vines with his mind like his limbs. 

He controlled the vines to bind the monster at the center at an incredible speed. 

"Roar." The Chieftain was angered by his blatant disregard and smashed the vine to dirt with his bare hand. With his order, all the red-eyed goblins quickly surrounded him in the middle.

"... ..."

Heizen was confused for a moment. No wonder, Sarah looked at him weirdly. This spell was pure crap. 

Seeing the attack from all sides, Heizen had no time to think. He picked up his reliable sword and fought out from the encirclement. 

After coming out, he once again chanted the spell. But this time, he was summoning ancient forest spirits in the vines using Elder Wood's wrath.

Seeing this abominable human started chanting that crap spell again, Goblin Chieftain was truly enraged. He must punched this guy into minced meat to relieve his anger. 

So, he ran towards Heizen without caring about his life. 

It didn't take long for Heizen to chant the spell. "Elderwood's Wrath." With his final shout, a strong wind blew through the surroundings. 

Suddenly multiple thorny vines appeared again. But this time, they were more agile and thick with a strong aura. 

The Chieftain was in anger so he disregarded this difference and pounced towards Heizen in extreme rage. 

"Swoosh." Just then, a thick vine lashed his body at an incredible speed that the monster had no time to react. 

"Boom." Blood and organs splashed everywhere. This wasn't the end.

"Swoosh, bang, blast."

A cacophony of screams ended the rare tranquility of the forest. It didn't take long for the vine to destroy the entire camp of goblins. There was not a single one with a complete leftover body.

Heizen was dumbfounded. He thought the spell must be powerful, but he never thought to be this powerful. 

Moreover, this was the first time he saw such a massacre even though they were monsters. The spilled blood, shattered organs, and eerie smells seemed to properly welcome him into this fantasy world. 

"Hah." Heizen stabilized his mind. He was very lucky that they were monsters. If he could massacre them like this with his little power, what about others? He didn't believe humans weren't on the receiving end.

After clearing such thoughts, Heizen paid attention to his spell. The ancient spirits seemed to be able to control the vine according to the caster's needs. 

When he chanted the spell, he only gave the command to kill the monsters. It was able to carry out his order automatically. 

However, his mental power consumption was also high. He could at most use this spell three times with his current stats. The continuous fighting method may not be suitable yet. 

Heizen quickly left the camp and arrived at a secluded place. He realized that he had too few spells at his disposal. So, he took out the three spell scrolls from his space while recovering his energy. 

With his high mental power and divine sense, it was worth a try. 

He first opened the Healing Touch scroll. When he paid attention to the rune and incantation with his divine sense, he felt very serene. It didn't take him long to understand and engrave the spell in his mind. 

Just as he thought, he could learn the beginner spell without worry. 

So, he opened the remaining two scrolls: Leaf shield and Nature's Ally, and learned them all in a quarter of an hour. 

After learning the there spell model in a row, he first activated the insignia in hand and chanted the Healing Touch spell.
