Chapter 1. Progress

On our way into the soul society, we met many people. Most of them are odd to me. We encountered a lot of people trying to fight, Zaraki dealt with most of them. He later told us he has become a Kenpachi due to him killing so many people, which I still think is worthless. All that death for a title. I see no use in it.

We are getting ready to go the next district, resting in an old ally way getting a bit of sleep when we hear a man yell out.

???: "Who here is strong enough to fight me!? Ill take on any of you!" Yachiru laughs at his proclamation as I release a small chuckle. At least he has high spirits. Unlike everyone else in this district. They all seem either angry or depressed.

He notices our laughter and walks into the Alleyway. He looks down at use menacingly as I walk in front of Yachiru, to make sure she isn't harmed in any way. The man has a smooth bald yet comedic head with what looks like green eye liner in the corner of his eyes. He adones a large yet arrogant smile as he feels deep within him he will soon become the next kenpachi.

???: "Who are you kid? And who are ya laughing at?"

Yachiru: "I'm Yachiru! And this is my older brother, Yoriichi…!

Yoriichi: "And the man behind us is our father, the strongest man here." I say with a smile full of proudness of my father. Sure, he looks like a homeless man but his strength can strike fear in many.

???: "Hah, do you think you can back that up punk!?" He says while slightly drawing his sword. Just as I reach for my sword, father stands up and starts taking off the large blanket that's covering him, exploding it with the energy known as reiatsu.

He gets pushed back and starts sweating. Looking at him with the see through world I can see exactly what's going to happen. I grab yachiru and take her somewhere safe to sit. I no longer can hear whats going on but I can hear some feint words with my enhanced hearing. I can also see what they are saying.

First he swings at father first as he blocks it before pushing him back and dashing towards him, landing a heavy strike against his opponent's blade. The ground starts to sink under the weight of the strike so he pushes father off before jumping back. He then rushes to swing his sword madly without any skill.

He has so many openings that I don't even need the clear world to see it. But every strike holds power within it. If only he could use the sword properly he would have a chance to fight father. Well he better hope father doesn't kill him.

The fight continues after father breaks the man's blade with a swift slash and starts a current of barrages which he barely dodges, only gaining small cuts in various areas. During this time I ask some people for the directions of the soul society and it turns out we're pretty close. I thought we would be on the other side of the soul society by how bad Yachiru and father's sense of direction is.

I look back and see i'm starting to get left so I run and jump on fathers other open shoulder. Yachiru looks towards me and smiles childishly before I poke my father.

Yoriichi: "Father, we're going the wrong way…"

Zaraki: "Hah? Then point out the way for me." He says as I point the opposite way we're going which looks comedic to the people who are looking at us. We did just nearly kill someone.

We turn around before he starts to run lightly to conserve energy. The trip takes a day without a break which I applaud father for, which goes completely ignored. Yachiru fell asleep mid-way so I had to hold her so she didn't fall. Luckily father wasn't running at full speed.

Once we reached the gate to the soul society I separated from my father and asked to get a real sword immediately. The guard looked at me strangely before pointing out my age and how I shouldn't even have a sword.

Yachiru: "Hey! Stop bullying Yoriichi!" Yachiru yells as she leaps and slams her foot on his face which pushes the man back a few steps. Father then catches up and looks at us amusingly before just walking through the gates.

Soul Reaper: "Hey! You can't just go through there!"

Zaraki: "Hm? But i'm going to go and become a captain."

Soul Reaper: "But you have to apply to the soul society school first!"

Zaraki: "I thought you needed to defeat another captain to do that."

Soul Reaper: "What? That's only for the 11th squad idiot!"

Zaraki: "Then I'll go fight the 11th squad captain then." He says to the longer angry soul reaper before walking off. Me and Yachiru run and jump on each shoulder of father as we laugh at the exchange we just had. And I can tell this will draw a lot of attention to me along with Yachiru.

-Timeskip, Kenpachi is now a captain-

Father is now a captain! He defeated the last one with nothing but a single swing of his sword which surprised even me. As the captain he defeated is in charge of what is rumored to be the strongest squad. I celebrated with my father and Yachiru by eating a lot of sweets which Yachiru really loves.

I even got a sword named an Asauchi. They told me to keep it long enough and it will turn into a Zanpakto. Kind of like the color Nichirin from where I'm from. Yachiru also got hers and started to practice with me. I taught her how to efficiently put more strength into each strike with her small frame.

Right now I share the position of Lieutenant with Yachiru, appointed by father himself. And once we first came here everyone thought we were lost children which amused me. We also found out that a bald guy is in this division. Turns out his name is Ikakku. He is a kind guy and respectable swordsman. He even helped me, father and this other guy beat a swarm of worm lik monsters which are called hallows.

-Flashback-

Father just cut down a worm like monster as the other squad members explain to me what father had just cut down. I start to realize they are kind of like demons from where I am and grab my sword, preparing to join in but notice its seemingly over, until I look down. What I see horrifies me. Dozens of them are in the ground and they seem to notice the ruckus thats going on.

Yoriichi: "Father! There are tons of them underground! Jump!" I yell, gaining my fathers attention as he jumps and slash down, cutting the hollows mask in half, killing it. I then jump down in a specific spot and breathe in a large amount of air preparing my sun breathing.

Just as the hollow comes out of the ground I slash its mask as a circle of flame surrounds me forming a circle around me.

Yoriichi: " Heki-ra no Ten!" (Clear Blue Sky)

This shocks Ikakku slightly as this child in front of him could of killed him in the Kusajishi village a few weeks ago.

The onslaught of hallows continues until Ikaku and the other member joins with Yachiru who is exclaiming it's a competition. At the end father has tallied up 30 hallows to my 20 and Ikaku's 19. He is strong i'd have to say but in terms of swordsmanship he is heavily lacking.

We returned to the soul society with minor wounds from the hallows as father had a pleased smile on his face from the fight. He truly is a piece of work on his own.

-Flashback end-

Now my Asauchi has started changing recently. Now the color of the blade is turning red. Maybe it's due to my sun breathing, but that's to be determined. For now ill go train on the energy called reiatsu with Yamamoto. I remember him even though he has no recollection of me from 60 years ago. He apparently said I have more reiatsu than some captains which is surprising as they are seen to be invincible.

And started the training of hell. Whenever I did something wrong during training I'd have to do pushups and run 5 laps around the soul society, which happened somewhat often as I never even used my reiatsu until now. The training continued for 50 years. I was actually done but he decided to teach me kido over these years. That old man, even though grumpy most of the time but hes a great teacher. I learned up to hado #65, which summons blades to rise from the ground and strike the target from underneath. But most of these hados are deadly. Even the bakudo (sealing techniques) are dangerous. He never taught me the forbidden ones but it was still a lot. I was to learn all this kido until I can use it without a chant, without it losing any power.

But more importantly…My Asauchi has finished changing. It looks exactly like the blade I used during my life. Its a black blade with red patterns going across the blade, showing resemblance to my sun breathing. I have not trained to get whatever they call 'Shikai' but I heard it gives immense strength but its hard to gain. So ill work towards that later.

And lastly, father had changed his hair…in a weird design. It looks like a fan but there's gaps in between it. He also started wearing an eye patch and bells. And for some reason people say they cant hear it, which confused me until he told me how it works. Only those who can hear it have enough spiritual pressure to fight him. I of course can hear it but I will still lose in a fight. I've seen when father uses kendo, and its a scary sight.

Yo, chapter out and I can guarantee. It was suppose to come out earlier. Like a good 2 hours earlier. But! I've finished it. So! Ill give an overview on his strength level here.
