Renya

"Fuu—"

Eryna gave out a deep ahhh , and twisted the door knob, while holding up the gown With her other hand.

She stepped inside the room which had faint smell of paper and ink in it, the walls of one side of the spacious room was replaced with bookshelves. The other walls were painted with light chocolate brown colour. Just across the window a huge king size bed lied.

Eryna stood motionlessly in the centre of the room, she was not sure if what to do, until something cold dropped on her naked shoulder. It was water.

She jumped in fright and turned around and bumped into someone.

She lifted her head and felt a sharp pain,

"Ouc— gasp!!"

"Aah," A painful voice escaped Micah's lips.

Eryna had hit her head with Micah's chin, because of which Michel's teeth bit into his own tongue,

Her heart sprang out of her chest at the sight of his bare chest wrapped loosely with a bathing robe, his hair were wet and water dripped off it occasionally.

"What are you staring at?" Micah growled with dissatisfaction.

"That—"

Eryna turned her head in the other direction in lightning speed and tried to answer but got interrupted by Micah.

"Oh! How could I forget! You married me today so you being here make sense,"

He spoke sarcastically.

"The butler, he sent me here,"

She stared at the bookshelves in embarrassment.

Micah knitted his eyebrows at the sight of her odd behaviour.

"Why are you looking there when I am right behind you!"

"That—you, you are not wearing a shirt," Eryna mustered up the courage to point out his ignorance.

Micah glanced down at his bare chest and then shifted his gaze towards the girl in the white wedding gown.

"Ha, Stop acting. I know what kind of a girl you are, and why you trapped me into marrying you." He gave out a cold laugh.

Eryna wrapped her head around his words and tried to understand the situation she had gotten herself in.

"But let me tell you one thing, I would never take a woman like you as my life partner, who just for money decided to sell—"

In the middle of his angry speech Eryna's phone rang which shifted all of her attention to the phone screen.

There was a message from an unknown number.

Eryna tapped the screen of the mobile and stared at the words written in the message.

"What are you doing?" Micah got annoyed by her attitude.

"I—I wait let me read it first,"

She looked at the screen with knitted eyebrows.

"Are you even listening to me?" Micah lashed out at her.

Eryna turned around and stared at his tomato red face with a serious expression.

"If you want to hear the truth then—no I am not listening to you. I am not interested in knowing how much you despise me, And if you are so annoyed by seeing me in this room then okay! I will just leave you alone."

"What?" Micah was caught off guard.

"Have a nice time holding onto that grudge of yours,"

Eryna's face showed signs of worry, as she lifted her gown and walked out in a troubled way.

'Slam,'

She closed the door with too much force.

She dialled the number that had texted her and waited for the person to pick up.

"Hello? Is it Matilda?" Eryna worriedly spoke.

"Yes, It's me," the nurse who spoke to Grayson at the hospital replied in a soft voice.

"How is my sister? Is she okay?" Eryna's voice trembled in worry.

"Yes, the operation went well, her stomach has been washed and hopefully she will be awake soon," the nurse replied.

"Can I come? I mean can I visit her now?"

"Yes you can, if it's convenient for you,"

"Cough…"

Someone cleared his throat.

Eryna turned around to see who it was and surprisingly the butler stood right behind her with a silly expression.

"I will be there soon,"

Eryna cut the call and turned around to the butler.

"Miss I-I am sorry. I should have-"

"If you are sorry then help me out a bit,

Without hearing his sorry words Eryna replied to him in a hurry.

"Pardon?" The butler was left speechless.

"Get me a car, and some clothes."

"But-"

"Please, just help me out this once,"

Eryna sincerely asked him, he too saw her sorry state and gave a light nod.

...........

Inside the white VIP hospital room Renya lied still, the door clicked open and Eryna walked in.

Renya's eyelids trembled at the sound and she slowly lifted them,

Her eyes showed a blurred out image of someone standing by her side. Before she could ask about the identity of the person, she heard her voice.

"Was it fun?" A tired voice spoke.

"Did you feel thrilled after pulling out such an incredible stunt?"

"Eryna?'' Renya looked weak in the hospital bed, she stared at Eryna's face with guilty eyes.

"Explain! What was the meaning behind your actions? Did you think that misery would end with that small bottle of poison that you ingested?"

Eryna's furious gaze glared at Renya, she was waiting for answers.

"Will it not?"

Renya replied in a dejected tone.

"I don't know about you, but it would have added piles of regret to my already miserable life!! Did I even cross your mind when you decided to kill yourself?"

Eryna's scared voice turned into an angry roar when her mind flashed the memory of Renya's lifeless body in Grayson's hands.

Renya knew how angry and broken Eryna was, she had lost everyone in such a short time period. Her expression showed how desperately she had tried to hold onto Renya,

"You could have told me, you could have said that father was pushing you,"

"HAVE WE GROWN APART SO MUCH THAT YOU DIDN'T BOTHER TO SHARE YOUR SADNESS WITH ME? DID I NOT PROMISE YOU THAT I WILL ALWAYS HAVE YOUR BACK?"

Tears rolled down Eryna's eyes as she shouted at Renya, it was a heart wrenching moment for Eryna, because the pain of losing someone was witnessed by her so many times, that she knew that the news of Renya's death would be the end of her too.

"I am sorry! I thought you didn't love me anymore, I thought you would leave me like mother. I thought you would treat me the same—just like father,"

"You silly! You and Simba are the only ones left for me, I would never abandon you,"

She lightly scolded Renya.

"What will happen now? What will father say about my actions? Will he cancel the wedding?" Renya weakly spoke.

"He won't say anything, and nothing will happen to you, now that I am here I will protect you,"

Eryna caressed her head and spoke in a protective way.

"What do you mean by that? Did father cancel the wedding?" Renya's face brightened up.

"No, he didn't cancel the wedding,"

Eryna leisurely replied.

"Then?" Renya trembled.

"Renya Scott got married to Micah Luis today, so you have nothing to worry about anymore."

"Ha, stop joking around, how can I marry him when I am still in the hospit—"

Renya's eyes opened in horror.

Eryna stood with an unchanging expression.

"You—you did not! Tell me you didn't do it!"

"Rest early, I have to go back before someone gets suspicious, Simba will come visit you with his nanny. Be sure to go home with them,"

"Eryna! Stop!"

Eryna stepped away from the bed.

"Stop right there! Tell me what happened!"

Her sour voice echoed in the room as Eryna left.
