CHAPTER TWO HUNDRED

Gwen became a part of my life once again and I'm also aware that I was rude to Jer for nothing!

I still don't know what occurred to clear Gwen's name but I'm happy because Gwen makes Jer happy.

The only thing I'm aware of, is the cop's beating followed Gwen being cleared and that concerns me but since no one's explaining what really went down, I have to rely on doing as Whiz suggested.

"Just observe," Whiz had said and this is what I've been doing, plus working on my quilt.

Mom and dad has been extremely happy for the last few days and tonight is the night of her fall show. I am proud of her and Jer, whose one of the trainees whose photos were selected to be on display since some of her creations were not being displayed on the catwalk.

I kept reading the news surrounding the show as it continues to build momentum, having already cross three million views an climbing.

Since Logan return to practicing law, he's working on a ligit case which he gave me to read up on or maybe what he was really doing, was confirming that he's not lying about his gig or case!

"Mrs. Daniel," my eyes flicked open at the sound of my brother's voice.

Dangling his phone, "Judge Delano" his voice void of any emotion, as he hands his phone over to me, confirming that he's nowhere close to forgiving me for my treatment of him when he was babysitting me.

Taking the phone without a thank you, I nod, my heart racing rapidly having anticipated this call since I saw the cop getting beat up by my husband and brother.

"Hello," I greeting her nervously, afraid of the unknown.

"Jamie!" Judge Delano greeted me, her voice strong and bright. "How are you feeling my dear?" She asks, sounding more caring, now.

Unaware of where this conversation will be going, I decided to just add a little emotion to my voice and only respond to the questions she asks,, nothing else.

"I've had better day's" I answered carefully, holding the phone in one hand and my other hand on my chest, as I try to hold down the loud thumping sound.

"Good, good!" Judge Delano responded. "I was so concern when I heard about one of my officers and what he did to you," she continued, unaware that she's confusing me now.

"Okay," I responded softly, matching her soft caring tone.

"I know your husband really laid it on him and to be honest, I understand," she continued, while my thoughts drifted to the beating the cop got at my husband and brother's hand.

She only mention my husband!

Did Logan take full responsibility for the beating and left my brother out.

"Are you going to arrest him?" I asked, afraid now although I am now suspecting that the cop is involved in me being found unconscious on the Castle grounds.

"Arrest the cop?" Judge Delano repeated my words. "Of course," she confirmed. "He's already been charged," she added, not easing my tension since my husband beat him to a pulp

"I mean Logan," I explained. "Are you going to arrest Logan for..." I paused to take a deep breath. "Beating the cop?" I asked, my words lost down my voice box.

"Oh my goodness, no" Judge Delano answered quickly. "Of course not," she continued, as if she needed to appease my mind. "Drugging and dragging you in your condition would not go down well for him in court" she explained.

Releasing the breath I was holding in, "oh gosh, thank you," I told her gratefully, although the words, 'drugged', filled me with fear.

I was drugged?

Of course no one, especially my husband would see it fit to inform me about that tit, bit.

"Okay, I have a meeting but I just need to call and confirm for myself that you are fine," Judge Delano sounding all professional now, said as she was ending our phone call.

"Thank you for calling," I said politely, still baffled by the fact that the cop drugged me, which is how he was able to drag me.

"I will call you again but in the meantime, take care and be careful!" Her soft tone conveys her heartfelt words.

Jer didn't return immediately for his phone, so I used that opportunity to browse through his social media account to maybe update myself on our mutual friends and what I'm missing out in their lives.

I had to stop and read more than once on a post my sister shared, concerning me.

Jess is so delusional, even with her words.

I stare at the picture Jess posted of me, pre Logan smiling adoringly at Jer, who was the photographer.

The caption didn't sadden me, it totally angered me and for the first time I felt resentment for my sister and for the first time, I wish to never cross paths with her again.

'It's sad that she, just like her mother has gone off the deep end, all because of their inability to keep a husband!" she added crying emojis to her caption.

Clenching the phone tightly, I started to read comments and even Jess's response to the more than a hundred comments.

She's started a rumor about me being suicidal and that my mother committed suicide, requesting prayer for me.

The comments were all sad and pathetic but I continued punishing myself by reading them all.

There were a few comments in support of me and of course, Jess shut them all down, especially when comments were in favor of me and not in favor of the man, who supposedly led me to my suicidal state.

I placed the phone at my feet and laid back with my eyes closed.

I AM NOT SUICIDAL AND MY HUSBAND IS NOT CHEATING ON ME!

I need to speak to Mrs. Phillip to have a conversation, I've put aside long enough.

I promised!
