Firstly the currency will now be in coins for my personal convenience. 100 copper coins = 1 silver coin and 100 silver coins = 1 gold coin (if there are spirit stones later on just assume that it would be 10 000 gold = 1 low grade spirit stone 100 low spirit stones = 1 medium spirit coin, 100 medium spirit stones = 1 high grade spirit stone, 100 high grade spirit stone = 1 top grade spirit stone. That's if coins would still be used in the area.) The next thing that would be changed is that the medical pastes will now be called cream instead because that just sounds nicer for consumer use. After one hour of cultivating the Gamer's Mind Technique, it was time for me to get ready for the auction to start.

'Hmm, that was really refreshing. My mind feels so clear now. I think it's similar to when my skills level up. It's like a fog that has been lifted, and now I can think faster, not as fast as bullet time or anything, but a lot better than before. It's like how you feel after you go for a run, and then your brain and thoughts flow more smoothly. So it's basically like there is a constant flow of oxygen in my brain, I guess. Pretty cool if I do say so myself.'

After that refreshing realisation, I focused myself on the one-sided screen in front of me where I could see the stage along with a few items that were being moved backstage. 'It kind of reminds me of a backstage crew you would see when you go to watch a play, pretty neat.'

After looking around for a bit more, there was a sudden knock on my door.

"Yes? How may I help you, Senior Sister?"

She looked taken aback for a few seconds and then gave me a faint smile.

"Ah, yes, young master, I've come to inform you that the starting price for your items will be 1 silver coin for the tranquilliser, 2 silver coins for the burn cream, and 5 silver coins for the healing cream."

My eyes widened at just how much that was, and that was just the starting price.

'I see now. It makes sense why she was taken aback. It was because she was expecting a typical young master. [Shivers] Just thinking about being called a young master after seeing so many face-slapping scenes gives me the shivers.'

"Thank you for the information, also, what is the commission fee for using the auction?"

"That would be 30%, young master."

'I guess it's a reasonable price, plus it's my first time using their services.'

"Thank you."

After doing a quick bow, she left me to my own devices.

After waiting for another 20 minutes, it was finally time for the auction to start.

As I observed everyone settling into their seats, a beautiful woman came up to the middle of the stage, with all the lights dimming except for the light on her.

'Wait, how did they dim the lights like that but still keep the light on her?'

After contemplating that interesting revelation, the woman on the stage started to speak.

"Greetings, ladies and gentlemen. You can call me Little Ming, and I will be the Heavenly Dawn's auctioneer for today's special event."

As she spoke, she gave a subtle flirtatious wink to the audience, no doubt to try and entice the men in the auction hall to spend more, because as we know, young masters love using their money to flaunt to women and peers alike to appear superior.

"The first auction item today will be this…"

As the auction dawdled on finely, it was time for my items to appear.

They appeared as a pyramid stacked with the tins that held the medicinal cream, which looked rather appealing while also giving a sense of mystery to the items.

"Now for one of the best items on today's list. You must be wondering what it could be because this is a last-minute item added to today's auction."

As she was about to explain more, a young master shouted.

"Just get on with the profound rank weapon already!"

"Apologies to Young Master Peng, but this item is almost as valuable as the profound rank weapon as it could also save your life."

As if it were scripted, the presenter kicked off the complaint and started explaining the medicinal properties of the creams.

"This liquid over here is a tranquillising elixir that has been appraised by our experts at the Dawn Auction, and it has been stated that these are better than ordinary tranquillisers. Instead of poisoning the meat, this tranquilliser thickens and hardens the blood of a beast temporarily, causing them to become sluggish and easier to hunt. Starting price is 1 silver coin."

As the crowd realised the real value of these items, they started to bid. However, there weren't that many that were all that interested.

"The next item we have here is burn cream. With this, even if you are burned by alchemist flames, you can put this cream on, and it will take away the pain and heal your hand within 2 hours with no scars left behind. Starting price is 2 silver coins."

This time there were more reactions, and more people started bidding. Unfortunately, there was a limited item of the cream for many.

"Last but not least, we have a healing cream. This cream can numb pain and heal both burns and cold bites, as well as healing open wounds in a matter of 2 hours, leaving only a faint scar, which can be healed properly by a doctor. Starting price is 5 silver coins."

Again, after hearing the properties of the cream, almost everyone in the crowd went crazy, even the low-level cultivators, as they know how expensive pills can be.

'Well damn, that was way more than expected. I should have made more. Maybe if I can find those herbs again, I will sell more. They are pretty common, so that's a relief.'

After that brief thought to be more prepared for next time, the next item was being presented.

"And now for an item that you were expecting, we present to you a heaven and earth pill from the Luo clan, which can help improve body refinement all the way to the marrow refinement realm. Starting price: 200 gold coins."

'Well, I can't afford that, even with all the money I made today.'

This is where all the cultivators and big families started bidding and fighting for the pills. It was so crazy that the final price ended up being 1500 gold coins.

'Damn, 1500 gold coins!? I think I might become an alchemist, and I'd never have to worry about finances, hehehe.'

After that crazy screaming session, it was time for the item that everyone wanted to see.

"And now, ladies and gentlemen, it is time for our final item… the Profound Rank Sword! [Gasps and whispers all around] The starting price for this item is 10,000 gold coins."

'Oh, I almost fell off my chair! 10,000 gold coins for a low-tier sword!! Damn, I don't know if I'll ever be able to get one, haha.'

Now started a real fight. From the get-go, all the big families in VIP seats started calling out, and you could also hear veiled threats flying between families, seeing whose ancestors had bigger peepers or something. It was hard to tell over all the shouting. Eventually, the ending price was 200,000 gold coins, and it was time for everyone to leave the auction.

"200,000… that's so damn much."

As I was walking dazedly from all that money, I was stopped by the same girl who told me about my items.

"Young Master, thank you for using our auction house, and if you ever have those items again, please use our services again. Your total for all your items and the fee taken by the auction leaves you with 2 gold coins and 20 silver coins."

As she handed the bag of money to me, I was just realising that I wouldn't need to worry about mortal needs for a while. I quickly thanked her and made my way back

"Thank you and I will definitely return"

After thanking her I made my way back to my inn and entered my room so that I could go take a bath and then go to sleep.

"Hmm… on second thought i think i should try body cultivating again then after draining my muscles of energy i think i should mind cultivate instead of sleeping since it strengthens and refreshes my mind. Hmm okay legs do that then."

After packing away my newly bought robes I jumped into my cold water bath.

"Damn! It gets me every time. Stupid cold water. [Exhale]"

After washing myself off of the day's fatigue I went straight into using my body technique.

'Well here we go, let's hope I can do more than 1 revolution.'

After another gruelling session of intense exercise and poses I was dead tired.

'5 revolutions not bad. Now I'm officially in the skin Refinement realm.'

After taking a breather I sat on my bed in lotus position and started cultivating my mind technique.
