Chapter : 7

Vami awoke early in the morning... When she looked around, she noticed that Indu had gotten up and left... She slowly arose, freshened up, and went downstairs...

"Did Vamis get up early... Should I make you some tea…"

Vami was brought to the kitchen by Bhanumathi, who served her tea... Everyone is preoccupied with their own work in the morning... She went to the veranda and wished everyone...

When she drank her tea, the Pandavas returned from their morning jog, and everyone, except Rudran, went up to wish her... Rudran's actions wounded her greatly...

"Dad... Can I go for a walk around... Let's take advantage of all I've been missing for so long..."

Vami took a look around and turned to Chandrasekhar, who was reading the newspaper...

"OK, Dear... However, you should use caution and avoid going too far... If you are afraid of anything, please contact me..."

Chandrasekhar gazed at Vami as he flicked the paper... She nodded as though everything was fine...

Vami felt she needed to calm her racing thoughts... She understands that she can only do so by sitting alone for a long... That's why she goes on a walk like this...

She proceeded around the estate, which was filled with various trees such as mango, jackfruit, guava, water apple, nutmug, and so on... She smelled and caressed each one before photographing it and sending it to Joe and Charan...

Because it was raining, the entire agricultural field was soaked... She moved slowly and carefully to avoid slipping on its edge... She strolled down the edge of the small canal built to provide water to the farm...

She envied the small children who were having pleasure playing in the canal... The women who had come to wash clothes and bathe gazed at her as though she were a "newcomer," but she smiled and walked away...

She took great care not to go to the serpent groove's side because she wasn't taking a bath. Atlast, after a lengthy trek, she came to a halt at a large pond near to their home...

"Oh my goodness.... What a huge pool... Will there be fish in it… can we go down like in a swimming pool… will it be too deep… will I sink if I go down… will there be mud at the bottom… will I sink in the mud…"

Vami stood with one hand on her chin and the other on her hip, thinking about a variety of things...

"Oh God... Rain... Eh, why is it raining..."

Vami looked about, wiping the water from her face and body...

"No... It's not raining... So, where did this water come from?"

Vami stood there contemplating as she glanced up at the sky... But then she was distracted by a voice...

"Hello, deaf girl... Can't you hear what I'm saying…"

Vami was astonished when she looked in the direction where she heard the sound... Rudran was standing in the water wearing nothing but a bathing towel...

Water was falling from his hair strands into his cheeks and eyes... His lashes were wet and clumped together... The beads of water on his face vanished between his trimmed beard...

Water poured down his neck and shoulders, drenching his chest hairs that were matted together... The gold chain around his neck had become entangled with his hairy chest... His stomach muscles were visible through his thick fluffy hair... From there.... down.... to.... down....

Vami tightly closed her eyes in embarrassment and flattened her face against the ground... She lacked the ability to perceive the rest.... Her cheeks were flushed... If touched, it would bleed...

"What am I doing… Control Vami... Control.... Already, my heart begins to pound in my chest as soon as he approaches me, and if he continues to be sexy like this... Will I die from chest pounding... Oh my goodness... Please help me..."

Vami stood there, unsure of what to do... (Vami's Mind Voice)

"Hey girl..... "

Rudran's scream brought her back to consciousness... She gazed up at him, puzzled....

"Did your scanning me with your eyes is done..." 

Rudran clasped his hands across his chest and cocked an eyebrow at Vami... She nodded, indicating that she was finished...

"What are you doing in a place where men are bathing... Why did you keep staring at me despite the fact that you could see I was taking a bath here... How come you kept staring at me without even hearing my call..." 

Rudran was furious and fiercely shivering as he stood there.

"Is he was bathing here, but I didn't even see him..."

Vami cast a glance towards Rudra... But regrettably, her attention was drawn to the muscle in his arm...

"Oh God… She's staring at me with a wide mouth once more... She will always show her culture, no matter what I say... Males and females were bathing together in those pools you saw...blah...blah..."

Rudran constantly chastises Vami, but she doesn't hear anything....

"Oh God... I think he will make me a rapist..."

Vami glanced at Rudran's body without remorse... (Vami's Mind Voice)

"Even though I told her so much she didn't have any shame at all…"

Rudran frowns with contempt at Vami....

"What the hell is he saying... I didn't here anything..."

Vami gazed Rudran in the eyes without comprehending.... (Vami's Mind Voice)

"Do you understand what I'm saying... Do you hear anything, stupid girl… "

Rudran finally gazed at Vami, his patience gone...

"Stupid girl... That's just what I heard... Oh my goodness... Didn't he ask me something… "

Vami is taken aback by Rudran… (Vami's Mind Voice)

"W.... What..."

Vami gazed at Rudran, puzzled...

"Get Lost..."

Rudran screamed angrily... Vami was taken aback when she heard that... She dashed up the steps...

"What made him yell like that... He can't say it gently enough... I didn't do anything bad to irritate him..."

Vami proceeded a little further and murmured at the side of a little lotus pond...

Vami directed her rage at Rudran on the grasses surrounding her.

"Hey... Are you continuing to stay here... I looked everywhere for you... Shekar Uncle instructed me to find you and bring you breakfast..."

Raksha appeared and took a position behind Vami...

"I just thought to take a walk..."

Vami stands up and walks with Raksha...

"Well, let's get to know each other after we eat... I'm too hungry right now... Please hurry..."

Raksha clasped Vami's hand in hers and went quickly... Vami grinned and followed her... They headed directly to Vaikundom...

"Come on, baby... Let's eat..."

Kausalya took Vami's hand in hers and persuaded her to sit down to eat... Everyone was already seated at the table...

Vami notices Netra, Bhumi, and Rudhi beaming at her, but Shivani, Shivami, Navami, and Bhavya ignore her...

While eating, older people discussed their lives in Canada and the advances that had occurred here up to this point, and they even turned the subject to foreign matters... Vami then sat there eating as if nothing had happened...

Rudhi, Netra, Raksha, and Bhumi take Vami with them after eating, and they go to the backyard and sit beneath a tree...

"Vami, did you like everything here..."

Rudhi perched on the tree's sagging branch...

"Yeah... Nice relaxing vibe... Really energising... I really enjoy it..."

Vami closed her eyes and leaned back on the bench...

" The college will open its doors next month... We're all going to join BBA... I overheard Veeran Uncle mention that they intend to bring all four of us together..."

Netra sits next to Vami, pointing to herself, Raksha, and Bhumi, and explains…

"I am not especially interested in anything like that... Any course will suffice..."

Vami gave them a friendly grin... They spoke about what they had learned for a time...

Vami was examining the four of them's relationship... They were in their own world, laughing, joking, slapping and holding each other... A smile grew across her face, unbeknownst to her...

"Are you four always like this..."

Vami stared at all four of them with interest... 

"Yes, we are constantly happy and enjoy our lives in this manner... We're the trios, and she's single..."

Raksha pushed Rudhi away while holding Netra and Bhumi close.

"No.... You have to add me as well... Otherwise, I'll stop talking..."

Rudhi squealed and whirled around....

"How lovely.... Did our little kid get into a verbal fight with us... Do we have any fun without you..."

Rudhi was cooed to them by Netra... Vami burst out laughing...

"Now you can also join with us girl..." 

Raksha took Vami's hand in hers and drew her to sit with them... Vami smiled as she glanced at them...

They sat there for a long time, asking about Vami and her life in Canada, and they grasped everything without skipping a beat... and Vami, in turn, asked about them...

Vami enjoyed their company a lot... She quickly became very close to them...

"What did you think about each of us after talking for so long..."

Netra tapped Vami on the shoulder and inquired…

"Rudhi is the most aggressive, loud, and naughty in this group..." 

Vami looked at Rudhi and shook her head, as if she agreed...

"The one who appears to be a serious persona, but upon closer inspection, she is just an idiot, and that is Netra... Like a back bencher with a well-trained appearance..."

Vami grins at Nethra when she looks into her eyes...

"And everyone who has seen and spoken to Raksha only has the same opinion, a girl without bell and brake in her character and tongue..."

Vami laughed at Raksha and grins without shame...

"A person who does not speak even if anyone puts a finger in her mouth, talks only when necessary, a silent character and that is Bhumi..."

Vami smiled at Bhumi, and she winked...

"That's why she is the golden flower for brothers and we are the dry flowers..."

Raksha pursed her lips and glanced at Bhumi... Bhumi also grinned...

"Oh... So, you are the favourite of all the ten brothers..."

Vami stared at Bhumi with anxiety... Vami observed Bhumi's face was slightly withered...

"Hey... It's not like that, she's liked by everyone... But she is Rudran, Vishwa, and Kasi's beloved sister..."

Raksha poked Bhumi's modesty, and Bhumi game them a light smile… Vami had observed it as well...

"Permit me to ask you a question... Didn't our other four sisters like me… None of them gave me a second glance after seeing me..."

Vami shifted her gaze to them, as if to alter the subject...

"Hey... They are like that, so don't make it an issue... Have you not seen us... We're not bothered by them either..."

Rudhi acted as if she was uninterested....

"They've been that way for a long time... They don't bother us who were born with them, so why should they mind you who arrived yesterday…"

When Bhumi heard Netra mocking, she laughed... Vami's heart was warmed as well as she saw that....

They sat and spoke for a while, and then they strolled back home to eat...
