CHAPTER 10. A NEW BEGINNING.

Alessia was currently preparing to leave for Midnight pack with Dylan. She wasn't as happy as she had thought she would be. Things didn't turn out how she had envisioned it. She was about to leave the only place and people she had known her whole life. She was scared and nervous. Meher wouldn't be there with her, Said would be far from her, she won't be able to meet with Richard and Odessa like she usually did. And her mom she had just reconciled with won't be there. She would be on her own in a foreign land. The realization of the situation she found herself in dawned on her. Starlette walked in with her mom and sisters. She looked really pissed. "Dad what's happening?" Starlette asked Dominic. "Alessia is leaving with Dylan to Midnight pack" Dominic responded. Starlette's face immediately went dark but she managed a tight smile "safe journey" she said looking at Alessia. "Thank you" Alessia responded. 'Well I won't have to deal with Starlette, her sisters and mom anymore' Alessia said to herself in an attempt to improve her mood. 'I won't be seeing this face for a very long time' Alessia said to herself with a gentle smile appearing on her face and Said began to laugh. Everyone was surprised with his sudden laughter. So apparently, Said had wanted to know what Alessia was thinking about, how she was feeling. And the moment he read her mind what he saw was 'Well I won't have to deal with Starlette, her sisters and mom anymore, I won't be seeing this face for a very long time' and he couldn't control his laughter. "What are you laughing at" Dominic asked confused. "I'm laughing at Alex's facial expression" he lied without batting an eye. This made Alessia laugh louder because she knew exactly why he was laughing. Ophelia just smiled at this because she had just read his memory.

"Are you ready to go?" Dylan suddenly asked her. 'Was she ready to go? Of course not' but she needed to. "Yes" she answered dryly nodding her head. "Let me say my goodbye to my family" Alessia said looking at Dylan. "Sure" he replied looking down at her and with that he stepped back. She turned to face Dominic "goodbye" that was all she said to him. She turned to face Ophelia, she gave her a bone crushing hug. "Goodbye mom, I'll miss you" she said with a shaky voices. "I'll miss you too" Ophelia said reciprocating the hug. Alessia went over to Meher and hugged him saying her goodbye. She went over to Said and they hugged for long she cried hard "Alex I'll miss you" he put a necklace on her neck "I'll always be with you" she was moved and cried even harder "thank you" she said with a tearful voice. Going over to Odessa, she hugged her. They cried and hugged each other for long. None had anything to say but they knew they would miss each other badly. Dylan just stood watching everything.

"I'll keep in touch with you" Odessa finally said. "Thank you". She said to Odessa as she pulled away from her. "I'm ready" Alessia said to Dylan. They walked towards the car with her family following behind. Alessia remembered something, she paused and turned back to look at Odessa. Dylan was shocked 'why did she suddenly stop' he asked himself but he didn't say anything. He just squinted his eyes at her. "Odessa" Alessia called out to her friend. "yes" Odessa answered eagerly. "Help me tell Irene and Richard that I'll miss them. Tell him to call me when he's chanced". Just as Odessa was about to respond "You'll have to tell him yourself" Richard responded walking towards her with a smile on his face. "You're leaving already?" Irene asked "Richard!!! Irene!!" Alessia went over and hugged them. "Yes I'm leaving" she replied Irene. "Bye" Alessia said to them with a bitter smile on her face. With that she turned to face the man waiting for her and they left. Inside the car she waved her family bye and they did same.

She was on her way to a foreign land to start her life anew with Dylan. His people will become her people, his pack will be her pack, his family will be her family, his culture will be her culture, his believes will become her believe. She would have to let go of most of the things she grew up learning in her pack. 'It's a new beginning for me' she thought to herself looking at the sky through the window of the moving car. It's indeed A New Beginning.
