" What the fuck is happening to him? Why does he look like that?"

Stryfe asked.

" Nobody move, do you hear me? Warren, we don't want this, just relax and let the kid help you..."

Logan said to Warren.

" What the fuck is going on Logan?"

Warpath asked as he raised his blades.

" I can put him to sleep. I just have to get close."

Josh explained.

" He can kill you from far away."

Laura said to the boy.

Stryfe whistled loudly, his soundwaves traveling into the canals of Angels ears.

" My wings... I can feel them. THEY TOOK MY WINGS!"

Warren yelled in anger.

" Fuck the formalities."

Stryfe yelled as he, Warpath, and warren jumped at Archangel.

" Yeargh!"

Logan yelled as Archangel cut him open.

" Knock it off."

Stryfe said to the man as he flicked his finger at him. Stryfe ended up hitting archangel with a shockwave that knocked him into a nearby wall.

" Don't hurt him."

Logan yelled.

" Well, that limits a lot of my options Logan!"

Stryfe yelled.

" Can't you put him to sleep or make him relax?"

Warpath asked.

" Can't! His anger is off the charts, it wouldn't work on him like this."

Stryfe explained.

" Make it stop. It hurts! Make it stop!"

Archangel pleaded as he swatted Warpath and Stryfe away from him.

" Okay, bub. Whatever you want."

logan said to the man.

Warren turned and took off out of the house.

" WARREN!"

Logan yelled.

" Fuck! Everyone Suit up quickly. Josh get the hell out of here. Hurry!"

Stryfe yelled as he got to his feet.

The group quickly changed into their X-Force gear and hopped on the Jet to chase after Warren.

" Fuck! He's fast. I know we're in a jet. But if he goes any faster, we're going to lose him."

Warpath stated.

" No, we won't He's making too much noise. Even if he was Miles away from us, I could track him by the screaming."

Stryfe explained.

" He's turning. Stay on him Jimmy"

Wolverine stated.

" I got it."

Warpath replied.

" He was previously heading north-Northeast. Now, he is heading east. His target is moving."

Laura explained.

" The purifiers made Rahne take his wings. Even money says Warren's going after them."

Stryfe explained.

" I got a real bad feeling about this. He's making a b-line for that building."

Stryfe said as he watched Archangel head straight for a building.

" Warpath open the hangar door."

Stryfe said to the man as they approached the building.

" Move quick and strike fast right Logan?"

Stryfe asked.

" Damn right."

logan replied.

" And Laura... Be safe... It's time to go to work."

Stryfe said as he placed his mask on and jumped from the jet.

" Come on X! After him."

Wolverine yelled as he and Laura jumped as well.

" MMMMMHM!"

Stryfe grunted as he crashed into the building. He slammed his palm down on top of a group of winged creatures and sent out a shockwave that shook the building.

" All right! Who's ready to meet God?"

Stryfe asked.

" Raaah!"

Wolverine yelled as he drove his claws into another one of Risman's men.

" What the hell is going on here? Who are these guys? Is... Is that bastion?!"

Warpath asked all at once in surprise.

" Forty-eight targets including airborne."

Laura stated.

" Great, so what's the plan

Warpath asked again.

" We do what we do best. Kill. sixteen for each of us go!"

Stryfe yelled as he used his blade to cut one of the creatures in half.

" Sparky! Help me with Bastion!"

Wolverine called out.

" Blast away!"

Stryfe yelled at Bastion sending him flying with a massive blast of sound.

" Nice hit."

Logan said to the boy.

" Don't mention it. X look out!"

Stryfe yelled as he rushed to help the woman.

" Rah!"

Laura yelled as she cut one of the flying men's throats. She turned around to see another one aiming a spear at her neck. Just as it was about to hit, Stryfe appeared beside the man and shoulder tackled him away from the girl. He was moving so fast he killed the man on impact.

" Thanks."

Laura stated.

" Keep your head up. There still a few left."

Stryfe said to the woman.

" Sniff, Sniff! Risman!"

Laura yelled as she spotted Risman. She immediately left the fight to chase the man.

" X! damn it."

Stryfe said as he followed after the woman.

' Why does she have to be so hard-headed.'

Stryfe asked himself.

" The sound of gunshots. Damn it X!"

Stryfe said as he ran through the hallway.

" I should kill you for denying me Matthew's soul... But I can't resist the meal your healing factor offers."

The creature said to Laura as he choked her.

" Hk!"

Laura groaned

" I don't know this voice. But whoever it is. Is dead!"

Stryfe picked up the pace and rushed into the room to see some kind of alien Holding Laura by her neck. Stryfe pulled his fist back and punched the creature in its face and launched it from the building as a wave of destruction roared out from the impact.

" Huhhhh!"

Laura gasped as she caught her breath.

" X!"

Nathan yelled as he picked the woman up in his arms.

" You okay?"

Nathan asked the woman.

" Did... Did I complete my mission?"

Laura asked.

" You did. Yes, you did. You did good Laura. Come on Wolverine needs our help love."

Nathan stated.

" Love."

Laura said.

" What?"

Nathan asked.

" You haven't called me that once since we've been back together."

Laura explained.

" I've been so distracted by all of this. Come on. we need to get to safety first."

Nathan replied.

" Nathan?"

Laura called out.

" Yeah, lov mmm!"

Nathan was asking before he was cut by Laura taking his lips with hers. After the initial shock, Nathan wrapped his arms around the woman's waist and returned the gesture.

" We got interrupted earlier. I'm sorry... For leaving Nate."

Laura said to the man.

" I was hurt Laura. More so, than I've been in a long time. But after all this time, not once did I stop loving you. The only people who have earned my Ire in all of this are the X-men. The people who swore to protect us. But that's for another day. We still got a job to do love. Let's finish clipping the wings of these birds."

Nathan said to Laura with an honest to god smile on his face.

She nodded in agreement and the two ran back to where the others were to discover everything had been finished. Angel had returned to normal, and bastion had vanished.

" Damn but you smell, old man."

Warpath said as he and Laura helped Logan to his feet.

" Yes, very bad."

Laura also said.

" Damn, Logan. Got to stop playing with fire buddy."

Nathan also joked.

" Shut up all of you and take a good look. This is what you signed up for. This is your life now, and the blood never comes off."

Logan explained to the group as he got to his feet.

" Now, where is he?"

Logan asked

" Over there... But you're not going to believe it."

Warpath explained.

" After what I've seen today, don't be so sure."

Logan replied.

" Okay, I take it back."

Logan said as he looked at the returned Angel.

" Where's Rahne?!"

Nathan asked.

" I can hear a heartbeat nearby. But I don't know if it's hers or not."

Nathan explained.

" It's her. I can smell her."

Laura replied.

" Then let's go get our girl back."

Logan said as the group ran towards the scent.

What they arrived to see made even Laura feel bad for the woman.

" There is no sin so terrible God's love cannot forgive. There is no sin God's love cannot forgive."

Rahne repeated over and over again as she laid in a puddle of her father's blood.

" Dear God, please forgive this child and guide her as you did me. Amen."

Nathan said as he prayed for the woman.

" Come on, let's get you home. Pfrrrr."

Nathan whispered gently into Rahne's ear making her fall asleep in his arms.

After a long and excruciating mission, filled with death and heartache, X-Force returned home victorious. Logan, having saved Cyclops from another potential beating from Stryfe, stayed out to brief Cyclops on the mission details while the others retired for the night.

" Nate?"

Laura called out to the man who was trying to sleep.

Nate turned over and looked up at the woman in his doorway and sat up.

" Yeah, love?"

Nate asked as he rubbed his eyes.

" Can I..."

Laura asked.

Picking up on what she was asking, Nate lifted the blanket and made room for the woman on the bed. Laura moved over to the bed and got down next to Nathan. He wrapped one of his arms around her waist and let her rest her head on the other.

" Nate?"

Laura called out again.

Nathan opened his eyes and stared into her beautiful emerald, green eyes.

" I love you."

Laura said to the man making him smile.

" I love you too Laura."

Nathan said to the girl before placing a soft kiss on her lips.

" You're not scared of what I am? What I can do? What I've done?"

Laura asked.

" Nothing you've done. And Nothing you will ever do will make feel anything but love for you Laura Kinney. I know there's a lot in your past you haven't told many people. Logan made sure to warn me of that a long time ago. And that's fine. When you're ready for me to know, I'll be ready to listen."

Nathan explained to the woman.

" Thank you, Nathan."

Laura said to the man before closing her eyes.

" No, Laura. Thank you."

' I've missed you so much Laura.'

Nathan said before finally slipping into sleep. And for the first time in Months Nathan was able to without having a Nightmare.
