Fred dukes!

" Stark? why aren't you at school?"

" Huh! Oh, sorry professor. I took the day off to practice some new abilities of mine. Teachers said there wasn't anything important to do today so he gave me the time off, " Family matters".

" Hmm, what am I going to do with you?" The professor asked as stark scratched the back of his head.

" Sorry professor."

" It's quite alright. So, what are these new abilities you spoke of?"

" Oh well uhm, I think it'd be easier if I showed you. So first I place this marker down." Stark says as he touches Xavier's shoulder. " I call it the FTG."

" The FTG? What does it do?"

" Ok, that marking is laced with my energy. With it I can teleport to wherever that marking is. And unlike my sonido It's instantaneous."

" My word, that's remarkable. But you said abilities, right? is there something else?"

" Yeah, I've been learning to mold my energy into different objects. For example, my guns I use my energy to mold them." Stark said as he transformed. " My guns use my spiritual energy to fire the energy blasts you've seen. Now if I concentrate, I can turn my guns into." Stark said as his guns transformed. " Swords!" Stark said as the two guns he wielded turned into katanas.

" That is quite amazing. I'll get logan and we can test these new abilities of yours." The professor said as contacted logan telepathically.

Oh boy what did I just drag myself into. stark thought as he facepalmed himself.

After some time and lots of cursing. stark made his way to the danger room.

" Yo, logan ready for round 50." Stark said waving to the man in orange

" Snarl, yeah whatever. Listen kid chuck told me you can summon swords now. So that's what we're doing today swords only."

" Yeah! Yeah! kick about los lobos." stark said nonchalantly as he transformed. " Alright ready when you are logan."

Logan drew his sword and rushed at the boy in front of him swinging it from his left side. Stark raised his blades up to parry the sword, but when the two blades met. Snap! Logans blade snapped in half upon contact.

" Oh wow! Isn't that convenient." Stark said as he swung at logans left hip slicing the man open.

Angered logan Extended his claws. Snikt! Snikt! And lunged at the boy.

" Uh-oh! I made him mad." Stark said as he leaped over logans claw swipe and placed his hand on logans back. " Hey what happened to swords only?"

" That went out the window the moment your blade snapped mine in half. Now let's see how you do against these." Logan yelled as he lunged at stark again. Stark used his swords to parry logan away and lunged at him. Swinging his sword down over the man's head. The blade didn't cut through his claws, but the impact of his swing still slammed logan into the ground.

" Alright you two, I think that's enough for now." The professors voice rang over the intercoms.

" Ah man I didn't even use my flying thunder god yet." stark groaned

" Argh! Flying thunder god? What's that?' Logan asked as he got up from the crater in the ground.

" This." Stark said as he appeared behind logan in a blink of an eye.

" What the? I thought your sonido made a sound when you used it?"

" Yes, but that wasn't my sonido. It was my Flying thunder god." remember when I dodged your first attack from your claws. How I leapt over your head and touched your back."

" Yeah, what about it?"

" Well, when I did that, I marked you with my flying thunder god marker. It allows me to teleport to you instantly."

" That's a very dangerous ability you just acquired." Logan snarled

" Yeah."

" Alright, Wolf boy let's get washed up."

" Yeah, you do stink logan." stark said while laughing, that is until logan flashed his claws. " Oops sorry logan." Stark yelled as he flashed away.

A little later

" Yo stark what is up man." Kurt asked as he teleported into starks room.

" Not much kurt whatcha need?"

" Why do assume I need something?"

" Because you've that look on your face. You know the one you have before one of your terrible pranks." Stark laughed

" Oh yeah."

" Anyway, what is?"

" I need you to do me a favor. I need you to help me prank scott."

" Oh yeah, you've piqued my interest. What kind of prank are we talking about here?" Stark asked with a grin

" Follow me and I'll explain on the way." Kurt says as he and stark start their day of mayhem

Later

" Ok, Kurt scotts on the way." Stark radioed to kurt as " Scott" made his way to the kitchen.

Once the door opened stark gave kurt the go ahead to slam the pie in "scotts" face

" Ahaha! Got you mein.... Friend?" Kurt gulped as he looked up and saw that it wasn't scott in front of him but logan

" ELF! GET BACK HERE!" Logan yelled as he chased after kurt.

" Stark, you said that was scott not logan." Kurt radioed however all he could hear was stark laughing on the other end

" Ahahahaha! I got two for the price of one." Stark laughed as Logan ran after kurt.

" Logan, stark." The professor called

" I need you two to get with jean and head to Texas. A new mutant signature has appeared." The professor said

" Alright! I guess I can make time for a trip to the old west." stark said

Appearing in the hangar in his transformed state. Stark waited for his teammates.

" HEY! Let's Go!" Stark yelled as jean and logan walked into the hangar.

" Quiet, wolf boy. We can't all get changed and move as fast as you can." Logan said

" Oh yeah, I forgot." Stark said scratching the back of his head. " Alright! We ready to go?"

" Yup! All ready." Jean said

" So, what's the targets name?"

" Fred Dukes."

" Fred dukes huh, can't wait to see what he can do." stark said as the X-jet took off towards Texas

" Here, change into these kid." Logan said as he chucked clothes at stark

" Aww man, Do I really have to wear this." Stark grumbled

" Yes. we can't have you walking around like that can we?" Jean said with a smile.

" Oh Man!" Stark groaned he began changing into the outfit logan gave him

Later

" This is it huh, well I've never been to one of these shows, so hey new experience." Stark says getting a chuckle from jean

" Stop yer whining and let's go." Logan says

" Aye Aye! sir." Stark says while saluting logan

" And now ladies and gentelman. The main attraction of the evening. Let's give it up to fred " the blob" dukes."

" Hey, isn't that the guy we're looking for?" stark asks

" Yeah." Logan says

" He's a big boy." Jean says

" And what's wrong with that?" stark asks jean

" Nothing, just stating what I see is all."

" All right fred show them what you got." The announcer says as fred gabs hold of two monster trucks and successfully keeps them in place.

" Damn! Now that's some power he's got." Logan says

" I should be able to do the same." stark proclaims

" Really, now that I'd like to see.' Jean giggles

" Uh-oh big guys about to oof. That sucks." Stark said as fred lost his balance and fell off the two trucks " Damn poor guy." Stark said as the crowd erupted into laughter at the boy causing him to leave the stadium in a fit.

" Come on let's go see chuckles." logan said getting up from his seat

" Come on logan, don't make fun of the guy man." stark said as they all made their way down the bleachers.

" What? All I did was call him chuckles." Logan said as they walked backstage.

" Yeah, but it's clear the guy hates being laughed at."

" All right! All right! Jeez stark, you've changed. When did you care about nicknames?"

" I don't know actually." stark said while scratching the back of his head

" We should be coming up on his room." Jean said

" Hey wait a minute. Logan, do you feel someone else in the room with him?"

" Feel them no, but I do smell'em." Logan growled

As they got to the room Fred closed the door in their faces, but not before logan and stark saw who was in the room with fred.

" Damn looks like we missed our chance." stark said

" Grrr, fine, Let's go back to the mansion." Logan growled leading the two out with him.

As they made their way back to the Jet Stark tapped Logan on the shoulder and gave him a look that said we need to talk later. Logan simply gave him a nod back.

Later after arriving back at the mansion, stark had logan grab the professor.

" Stark what is it you need to talk about?" The professor asked

" I wanna know why you didn't tell us Mystique was our principle." This declaration from stark shocked both the professor and Logan

" How do you know about mystique kid." Logan asked

" Back when we met rogue, she was attacked by a shapeshifter. The spiritual energy I felt from her was there tonight. When logan and I went to get fred I saw our principle in there. So, tell me, why would you hide such vital information from us?" Stark asked flexing his spiritual pressure causing Xavier and Logan to sweat.

" How could I tell you all the person you are supposed to honor and respect and the enemy you fight are one and the same?" Xavier asked

" You can trust us professor. We might not be the smartest group, but we are good with keeping secrets. Listen i won't say a word to the others, but you're going to have to speak up soon. If you, don't you may end up losing their trust for good." Stark said as he left the room.

Xavier and Logan sat there for a few minutes in silence before logan finally spoke up

" He's right chuck. it might seem difficult, but no secret is worth losing those kids." Logan said as he took his leave. Leaving the professor to his thoughts for the night.

The next day at school.

" All right, for this drama exercise, you'll each be doing a scene with a partner. Since a few of you haven't chosen partners, I'll be pairing you up myself. Taryn, you and Paul will do Laura and Jim from the glass menagerie. And that leaves you and you." The teacher says as he hands a book to both rogue and stark. " You two will be doing Shakespeare's Henry V. I've marked it. Henry and Katherine, daughter of the French king."

" Hmm?" Oh, hey Anna guess you and me are partners huh." stark says as he lazily lifts his head up off the desk.

" Yeah, Ah guess so." rogue says

" Lots of luck stark. I don't think miss small, dark, and sullen has ever said more than two words. You'll have to play both parts yourself man" paul said getting a rousing laughter to from the rest of the class

" You got a problem with that paul?" Stark said as he got up from his chair and walked over to paul glaring at him.

" All right class, that's enough. Back to your seat Mr. stark."

" Yeah." stark said as he made his way back to his seat glaring at the class as he did so.

" Ya didn't need ta do that for me." rogue whispered to stark

" I know, but I wanted to." Stark whispered back smiling at the girl

" Thank you." rogue said averting her eyes from the boy.

" I want you to get together with your scene partner and rehearse you perform on tuesday." the teacher finished.

Later at lunch

" Yo stark, why is rogue sitting with the brotherhood." Kurt asked

" I don't know, and I really don't care." stark said as he made his way over to the brotherhoods table. " Hey Anna mind if I sit with ya.

" Oh, hey stark Ah don't mind as long as you keep yer friends away from me."

" Did my friends do something to you?"

" It's nothing ta be concerned about." Rogue says rather aggresively

" Whoa, I'm sorry i didn't mean to anger you."

" It's. Nevermind."

" So, Anna what brings you to our school, I thought you'd take at least some time off after what happened down in mississippi."

" Ah'm fine and my aunt Irene thought changing schools would help me."

" I see, though I gotta ask why are you sitting with them?" Stark asked as he pointed to Lance and Toad

" Because My aunt and her friend Introduced them to me. She said they wer like us."

" Well as long as you're safe that's all that matters to me, but if you do need help don't hesitate to ask for me. I'll be there for you." stark says as he put his hand on the girl's shoulder and marked her. " And you two." Stark growls as he looks at lance and toad. " If either one of you hurt one hair on her head, I'll crush you both." stark says as he crushes part of the table. I'll be over here if you want to talk rogue, you might not know it, but my friends are awesome." stark says giving the girl a smile before rejoining the X-men at their table.

" What did you guys talk about? kurt asked

" Nothing much." Stark said before putting his head down to rest

" Is that humongous guy the one you guys, like, went to see this weekend?" Kitty asked jean causing stark to look up

" Yeah, Fred. He's ok when he's not ripping lockers off the wall." Jean said

" Hey, jean leave the guy alone he can't help it that Duncan is a jerk." stark said groggily

" Wait he's the one who did? Freaky." Kitty said

" Kitty that's not nice." stark said pincing the girl's cheeks

" Ow Shtark that hurts." kitty said while stark and everyone else at the table started laughing.

" So, it seems like you and rogue are getting along just fine. You think she'll help with the play?"

" Hey, scott don't say stuff like that out loud man. Kurt doesn't know how to lower his voice."

" Wait you and rogue? Now that is actually a good combination. You two are so similar in many ways." Kurt said

" Really, you think so?"

" Ya my friend."

" Yeah, you two do seem close. Is there something going on we don't know about?" Jean asked giving stark a sly grin

" Oh, shut up." stark said putting his head back down

Suddenly a loud snapping sound is heard and a tray of food flys through the air landing on duncan. The noise wakes stark again

" Oh shit!" stark whispers as the cafeteria sees fred on the ground and duncan covered in food

" Bad move, blob boy." Duncan says as he and his groupies march towards fred

" Stay here, kitty. This could get messy." Jean said

" Let them go at it. i can't wait to watch Duncan get his ass handed to him." Stark says finding interest in the development

The entire cafeteria laughs at fred as he struggles to get up.

" Don't laugh at me!" Fred yells as he starts throwing food

" Food FIght!" one boy yells as the entire cafeteria starts chucking food at each other

" Oh shit!" stark says as he and the others begin to move. Kitty scott and kurt leaving the cafeteria.

Stark swats away a tray thrown by fred that was aimed at Rogues head

" Yo anna, you gotta be careful." Stark says

" Thank you."

" What do you say we get the hell out here?" Stark asks.

" Ah say Let's go." rogue says

" Alright! Hold on tight my beautiful lady." stark says

" Hey!" rogue yells with a blush as she wraps her arms around stark, and they vanish.

" Whoa, that Is still freaky." Rogue said as she and stark appeared in the park

" Sorry about that my beautiful snow angel." stark said with a smile

" Hey! Stop it you." Rogue said with a blush

" You what?"

" You jerk!" Rogue said crossing her arms and turning her back on the man

' Allright All right! I'm sorry." stark says with a laugh. " Well, schools over what do you say we practice our screen play?"

" Ah'm fine with that." rogue says

" ahem!" stark coughed as he opened his part. " Do you like me, Kate?" Stark asked

" Pardonnez-moi? I cannot tell what is "like me." rogue said trying a french accent

" An angel is like you kate. And you are like an angel." Stark says staring into rogues eyes.

" The girls are right. You are a charmer." rogue said absent mindedly

" I was just reading from the lines." stark said a little embarrassed

" Yeah, I know. It's just sometimes I wish."

" Yeah. Wish what?" Stark asked as he closed his book.

" Wish I could get close to somebody." Rogue said staring longingly into starks eyes. " But you know what happens when I do." Rogue says as she looked away from him.

" You're right I do." Stark says as he extends his hand to rogue's face drawing the girl's eyes back into his. " Every single day of my life since i was a child has been a constant struggle for me Anna." stark said in a pained voice as rogue grabbed his hand on her cheek. " My powers are as much of a curse as yours, If I lose control even if only for a moment, I could end up hurting everyone I love. Even you Anna-Marie." Stark said sadly

" Stark Ah." Rogue started before Kurt teleported in

" Tender miment here? Sorry to interrup." The fuzzy blue man said

" I swear, he's like an annoying little brother." Rogue said crossing her arms

" KURT, I SWEAR THIS BETTER BE IMPORTANT!" Stark growled

" Jean's been nabbed." Kurt said making starks eyes flash

" WHAT?" Stark yelled as he grabbed kurt. " What happened kurt?"

" Easy on the costume mein friend. Wolverine's on the scent. But I'm supposed to collect you and scott."

" Blob!" Stark yelled as he slammed his fists on the table. " If he's hurt her, I'll." Stark started to say before seeing rogues face. " Anna look at me." Stark said as crouched down in front of rogue. " I know you didn't have anything to do with this. I trust you. ok" Stark said as he once again placed his hand on the girl's face. " I have to go now." stark said as he left the girl's side. " Alright! Teleporter to maximum Mr. Wagner." Stark said as he grabbed onto Kurts shoulder.

" Aye, captain." Kurt said giving a salute.

" Engage! Soldier." Stark said as the two vanished leaving a sad young woman behind

At the institute.

" I've been in mental contact with jean. But she has no idea where she is. All I can tell is that she and Blob are somewhere in this area." The professor says pulling up a graph of the nearby area

" Then let's move." Scott says as he and the others leave in his car and the x van respectively

" I found them. They're at the old ironworks at the south end. I'm going in" Logans voice rang through the team's communicators.

" Logan, wait for back." Xavier says. " Wolverine has the location. I'm transmitting coordinates."

" Got it, professor. Be there in three." Scott says as he turns his car around.

" Alright! Let's go." Stark says as he steps on the gas.

Once the group arrives, they see fred laying down on logan.

" Jean's my friend, you can't take her." Blob says

" We're just giving her a way out." scott says as he fires a blast over freds head. " Through you, if necessary." Scott says as he blasts fred.

Stark on the other hand.

" Hey Jean. Need a hand?" Stark asked as he appeared next to jean

" Stark! You guys made it."

" Of course, we did Jean. That's what family does for each other. Now let's get you out of this." Stark said as he untied jean.

" What now?" Jean asks

" I've got an amazing idea." Stark says. " Just wait until he opens the door."

Stark waits until blob opens the door and when he does. He blasts the man in his face with a cero that knocks him back out of the room. Blob gets mad and picks up a larger contraption. He walks over to the room stark, and jean are in with it over his head. As stark prepares a larger cero, blob is suddenly struck in the back of his head with one of scotts blasts.

" Ahhhh!" Blob yells as he turns around to see rogue.

" Leave them alone, Ya yahoo." Rogue yells

" Whatcha gonna do to me? Make me wear bad makeup?" Blob asked

" Anna get away from him." Stark yelled

" Didn't mystique tell ya what ma power is?" Rogue asked

" No. Because I don't care." blob says

" Ma power is your power. And I can take more than one." Rogue says as she grabs onto fred causing him great pain. She throws him over her head and blasts him again with scotts blast. Blob fly's through the air before being shot back down again by stark who appeared in the air over his head.

" Anna what are you doing here?" stark asked

" Ah came ta see if ya'll needed help."

Stark stared at the girl for a moment before smiling. " Thank you, Anna." Stark said making the girl blush. " Now then, are you done fred?"

" No way! I got too much power, even for you! You can't hurt me! I'm the blob!"

" I haven't been trying to hurt you. But if you don't knock it off, I'll Cripple ya." Stark says pointing his gun at fred before fred jumped at the wo of them.

" I'll crush you then I'm taking that girl." fred said

" No one threatens my girl." stark said as he blasted fred with a cero. Launching them both from the building. " I might have over done it a bit." stark says as he looks at the whole in the ceiling

" Come on we can worry about him later."

" You're right, gotta help scott and logan." stark said as he, rogue, and jean all ran outside.

" Ughh My head." Scott said while rubbing his skull. " Anyone seen my visor?" Scott asks

" There ya go." Rogue said as she put scotts visor on for him. " I only took a short-term dose of your power. You should be back to normal soon." rogue said as she got up.

" You are like an angel, Kate." Stark said as he walked up to rogue.

" My name's not Kate. And I'm no angel." Rogue said looking away from stark.

" But you helped us. Why?" Jean Asked

" I don't know. I just don't know." rogue said as she ran away

" Anna! Wait." Stark said as he reached out for the girl before being stopped by logan

" Easy wolf boy. Let her go."

" But."

" She ain't ready. Trust me on this."

" You're right logan." Stark says as he watches rogues figure disappear.

" Okay. So maybe she's part of the dark icky side. But I figure we, like, totally owe her now." Kitty said

" Yeah. Yeah, we do. Bigtime." Scott said as he wrapped an arm around jean. before stark vanished.

" Stark wait." Kitty yelled.

" Where'd he go?" Kurt asked worried about his friend

" Wherever he went he'll be fine." Let's go home for now. Logan said as they all go into their vehicles and went home.
