Chapter 7: Lin Shan can’t defeat both Lin Dong and Qing Tan

Seeing that Lin Dong actually pretended to not know him, Lin Shan immediately got furious and got up in Lin Dong's face as he states in a vicious tone, "Hmph! Brat, don't you dare try to pretend to not know me! I am your cousin, Lin Shan!!" The reason why he calls him a brat is that Lin Shan is still older than Lin Dong by two months.

Unfortunately, Lin Dong regarded him with 'indifference' as he responded back to Lin Shan, "Cousin? No, I do not remember myself having such a cousin."

Lin Shan retorted "Bullshit!! Lin Dong, your father became a loser all those years ago years ago when he became a crippled person. Now, you who don't even remember who your cousins are is a loser. As for your cultivation realm, how did you get to it? My father is in control of the clan's finances and so I was always able to be supplied with spiritual medicine to help me speed up my breakthroughs. But you, trash who has a cripple as his father was able to step into the fourth level of the Tempered Body realm, how did you do it?! You most likely cheated the clan? He ended his retort with a twinkle in his eyes as he thought throwing dirt on this family's trash's name and trash's father's name will succeed in provoking this trash into anger. He hoped that Lin Dong would fall into his trap as then he would be able to catch him off guard and get him to reveal his strength and any trump cards he may have for his older brother. As he knows that Lin Dong doesn't have access to any of the clan's resources to get to the fourth level of the Tempered Body realm. He knows this must be his talent.

Unfortunately, for Lin Shan, Lin Dong simply looks at him with a smirk as though he saw through his plan and stated, "Your inability to do so only means that you are too wasted and a piece of trash."

Even though Lin Shan is clever and is able to manipulate a situation to get some results, he is still a teenager at heart and was unable to handle the trash comment about himself when said by the clan's perceived trash "Lin Dong! You are seeking death!" With a red face, he stepped forward and slammed his five fingers together into a fist to smash Lin Dong's head while shouting "First-grade martial art, Falling Rock Fist." Several fist shadows appeared beside his fist as they appeared to smash Lin Dong's head-on as if stones were falling.

Lin Shan saw Lin Dong shake his head as if in pity and then raise his own fist and punch back. Surprisingly, it was the same martial art.

Before Lin Shan can see anymore though, he felt a blur before his eyes. He was then hit with a huge force and flew backward like a cloud. His eyes showed emotions such as shame and anger but, on the inside, he was utterly shocked and happy that he attacked in the

heat of the moment as he found out something about Lin Dong. Unfortunately, he passed out before he could think further.

"GULP"

The few youngsters who came with Lin Shan to bully Lin Dong were all staring at the now limp Lin Shan with dumfounded eyes and varying facial expressions to express the tension that they are feeling after what transpired just now. One was clamping his jaw, another gave a nervous cough, the third's face was twitching, and the last could only "GULP" to swallow his saliva loudly. They thought to themselves 'They were both at the fourth level of the Tempered Body realm, but Lin Dong was faster than Lin Shan and he defeat Lin Shan in one move. No, he used the same martial art as Lin Shan did but displayed it in a more powerful manner than Lin Shan did! Does this mean that Lin Dong's strength...no let's not think any further than that...we came with Lin Shan today to bully Lin Xiao's son because we thought he was weaker than all of us combined. Also, even if he complains to his father, nothing is going to happen as his father became crippled all those years ago, is what we thought. but now...'

Lin Dong casually patted the non-existent dust on himself and swept Lin Shan's followers with an indifferent glance, which scared them into thinking they were next and caused them to step back several times. Lin Dong himself snorted upon seeing this behavior and 'indignantly' stated "How dare this guy act this way towards me with just this much strength! Hmph, just acting to be a punk but not worthy enough to become a punk.

You all don't have to worry. I won't beat you guys up as I am in a good mood today. Carry this fool back." With that order said, Lin Dong left slowly and leisurely under the terror and awed-filled gazes of the four followers and the many other disciples of the clan who heard and were curious about the ruckus just now, respectively.

Excluding Lin Shan's followers, everyone thought that Lin Dong's appearance when this occurred was exceptionally dazzling!

For the next few days, Lin Dong traveled around the trading market in Qingyang Town to try and 'discover' the Ancient Wooden Block which contained the Ancient Swirl Symbol.

Unfortunately, he was unable to find it. However, he was in no hurry and would continue to go through the market whenever he had time.

One day, while Lin Dong was meditating in his room, his childhood friend and clanmate Lin Changqiang pushed open his room door and panted out "Lin Dong...Lin Dong..."

Lin Dong glanced right back at him and replied, "Lin Changqiang, what is the matter?"

Lin Changqiang propped his hands on his knees and spoke extremely fast "Brother, while Qing Tan was returning from a trip to the mountains, she was intercepted by Lin Shan and his followers. Lin Shan stated that he will defeat her because of what you did a couple of days ago."

Lin Dong's arms shook, and he immediately got up in shock "Huh? Qing Tan was stopped by Lin Shan. Let's go, fast!"

Lin Changqiang, who had recovered his breath, looked at Lin Dong with considerable emotion 'Brother was such a good brother to Qing Tan.' "You are so kind. Qing Tan is so lucky to have a brother like you. You must be worried about her safety, right?"

His emotions were dashed when he heard Lin Dong sigh deeply which was full of helplessness and say "Worried about her? No, I am more worried about Lin Shan's safety. What if she accidentally kills Lin Shan?"

Lin Dong thought to himself 'Although his sister is a girl, her battling style is exceptionally violent. She also has a bad temper and is a strong Earthly Yuan realm powerhouse. Lin Shan was just at the fourth level of the Tempered Body realm. Even ten of him combined would not be able to withstand a punch from his sister. Lin Changqiang tried to open his mouth to say something, but he was dragged by Lin Dong to the back of the mountain of the Lin Clan where there were some spiritual medicines of good quality contained. This area is a place where many clan members enter to try their luck in finding spiritual medicine for themselves or their families.

At this moment, the junction leading to the inside of the forest area was crowded with many clan members as they watched the drama between Qing Tan, Lin Shan, and his followers. In the center of the crowd, stood a young girl who was dressed in a white-colored dress in a rigid posture as her lips were pursed, her eyebrows slightly furrowed, and her fingers twitched a little. She stared pointedly with narrowed eyes at the five defeated young teen boys who were on the ground.

While she stared, the thrashed boysminds were filled with thoughts of pain. They weren't able to move their bodies and every time they tried, they felt a shot of pain shoot up all throughout their bodies. They couldn't even think about the situation around them as they were struggling with soothing their suffering. Had they been able to, their first thought would be I AM NEVER EVER going to provoke this seemingly delicate girl who is the same age as them ever again!' This is because she is the reason why they were in such a situation.

'HOW CAN SHE BE SO BRUTAL AND VICIOUS?!!'

The girl's narrowed eyes on them would have brought them to shiver had they been able to notice her as she stated in a disdainful and sarcastic tone "Lin Shan, you stated that you would beat me since you couldn't defeat my brother. It seems like you can't beat me either." Unluckily for her, the person she spoke to didn't have the capability to hear her at this given time otherwise she would have gotten the reaction she wanted, his face turning red with anger or shame.

Just as she stated that a familiar figure appeared and stated "Get out of the way...get out of the way..."

Lin Dong seeing that Lin Shan and his followers were alive, let out a sigh of relief to himself and ruffled his sister's hair as he grumbled in a low voice "You cretin scared me to death when I heard that you were intercepted by Lin Shan and his cronies. Fortunately, you controlled your strength and didn't kill Lin Shan."
