Lucius left the area and headed towards his home, his pace quickening as he continually glanced at the diary in the corner of his eye within his inventory.
After a short time, he arrived, ascended to the third floor, and swiftly used the key to open and close the door behind him.
Taking a deep breath, he walked over to the desk and retrieved the old diary, the original one.
Seeing its almost-destroyed state, he marveled at how skillfully Jeni had managed to recover and translate it. He hesitated for a moment before delicately touching the worn leather cover.
Having completed the reading earlier, he had harbored a desire to test something. Yet, with Jeni in close proximity, he ultimately chose to set it aside, redirecting his focus to training in an attempt to distance his mind from the mysteries within the diary. Now, finally alone, he felt uneasy.
"I hope I am wrong," he whispered to himself.
