Finally, they arrived by the river as night fell, making them set up a temporary camp.
Along the way, they encountered a few random goblins, swiftly killing them as a group and looting their bad gear, which would later be melted down for materials.
Lucius carefully stored all the acquired items in his inventory, knowing that he would craft a new set of gear for their upcoming journey to the temple. As they gathered around the campfire they had ignited, they began cooking some meat, their faces reflecting exhaustion.
They had been on the move all day, and the close distance to the previous Last Luminous base had left them on edge, though thankfully, nothing had happened.
"Man, I am exhausted," Talon muttered wearily, stifling a yawn. It was clear he had worked harder than the rest of them on the way back.
"Good job, Talon. We managed to avoid quite a lot of kobolds and goblins on the way," Lucius complimented him, eliciting a smile from Talon.
