Worlds Creator System

All of a sudden, Darius saw himself standing butt naked while spinning in space, and before long, he heard the voice of some people that called themselves gods. "You are a suitable vessel for our power; you can have it and use it for as long as you protect our world. Ask anything in order for us to obtain your cooperation." Darius thought that he was dreaming or something, so he didn't think too much of it. Just for funsies, he asked for the power to create worlds. "The power to create worlds, you shall have it." In the next moment, Darius found himself in a new and unknown land. He thought that his dream suddenly changed scenarios until he saw a city in flames in the distance… one that looked quite medieval; when he approached, he saw people on the walls firing countless Fireballs toward an arm of orcs that were attacking the walls. Darius thought of running away since all of his instincts told him to do so, and then he suddenly appeared on an island that had a single palm tree and was surrounded by a sea of nothingness… After many hours, he got thirsty and hungry, and then a pond appeared in front of him… his power to create worlds was initiated. However, nothing comes for free... Soon Darius learns that only other gods could cause problems to others and he become a part of something of a crazy scale... will he remain a pawn in their board?

Who cares?

Darius felt like sighing. It made sense what they said, but he still felt troubled. His quest system worked well, but his reward was only a seeking problem device, and he didn't know what he would get next. Probably a magnet that would attract monsters to his ass.

"Oh well, who cares?" Darius shrugged. "I don't remember having this much fun before… I can endure this kind of task for a while longer."

Darius grabbed his spears and then threw them on his domain. He also did the same thing with the sword of the orc. The weapon was heavy, like a steel pillar, and that was something since his strength increased more than a few times.

After that, Darius approached and touched the crystal, but it just disappeared… it didn't seem like it had escaped. So, the gods took it for themselves.

"They said that this is an invasion… a monster invasion?" Darius thought while he was heading to the exit of the cave. "I can't imagine these orcs preparing all this by themselves…"

Who would be able to cause this much trouble for the gods aside from other gods? Darius couldn't think of any answer for that… It looked like he was just a piece on the board of the gods. He didn't like that, but he decided to play his part for now without complaining.

When Darius left the cave, it was already noon; things were pretty quiet outside. When he checked the Chaos Compass, he didn't notice it moving all that much, but it was pointing toward his left side. Sun was rising in the direction of the City, so he decided to call it East while the dark compass was pointing North.

"It looks like I am not that close to the next target… but I need to hurry up since they said that this has been happening for over a year," Darius thought while he approached the river that it was in the same direction. "Anyway, let's do some tests before heading North."

Darius jumped on the river and then opened the portal on it. He jumped back to his domain and kept the portal open… a bunch of water began to cross to his side. Still, then he closed it and then headed to the border of the island, and then opened the portal again. The water began to circulate around the island, but only in a range of ten centimeters around it.

"I thought that all this space could be used without using aether, but I guess I was wrong…" Darius thought and then sighed.

At least Darius was able to expand the area that he could use for the water without using too much aether. He was only unsealing the space and not creating anything, so it made sense that it could cost less. It was like the difference between buying an empty lot and buying a land with a house in it.

The water in the river began to decrease since time was passing faster there and making more water come. Still, soon he had to stop because he couldn't expand the domain any longer.

"I need to capture monsters and animals and let them procreate here," Darius thought once he returned to that planet. "I also need to create and separate the islands between the species. Otherwise, they will kill each other… I have a lot of work ahead."

Darius began to walk North… he knew that there was no point in dashing ahead since he couldn't see anything in the distance aside from some mountains. There were not even roads ahead… since the people of the City didn't try to fight the orcs on the field, he assumed that they didn't have anyone to wait for either. There was no one that could help in who knows how many kilometers.

"They would have given me a horse or a car if I really had to be in a hurry," Darius shrugged. "Let's just enjoy the trip then."

Although he said that, Darius got tired after walking for three hours. Nothing was happening, so he was bored out of his mind. At least he could take a look at the river and see if they had some fish in there… he didn't find any, even though he was following it upstream.

"How curious…" Darius rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

Darius had long past the area of influence of the orcs, the area where they moved the river toward their camp as well. So, he found that weird… now that he thought about it, he didn't find fish in their reserves of food either.

Around the time the sun was setting, Darius reached the base of a mountain that was on his path. The Chaos Compass was pointing beyond it, and then Darius found that he couldn't follow the river since it was passing under the mountain in an underwater cave.

"I guess I will camp here for the night," Darius thought while looking around and seeing some trees that he could bring to his domain.

While he was working on that, Darius checked his body once again and confirmed that he didn't look even a bit older… two weeks had passed since he had come to that world, and his nails and hair didn't grow at all.

"They said that they can't interact with the world that much… maybe the world doesn't affect me that much either since I am not from here," Darius thought.
