A little piece of Alicia's heart broke away, leaving her speechless and a lump in her throat. She was at a loss for words.

Louis moved closer, their lips met in a familiar soft kiss. Suddenly, he stooped down, scooped her into his arms, shut the door with his foot, and carried her inside.

Alicia experienced a moment of weightlessness as he lifted her. She let out a quiet giggle, "Put me down, fast!"

"Hold tight." Louis held her close, walking to the bed, and then gently put her down, as if she were a fragile doll.

He leaned in a bit, looking deep into her dark eyes, and whispered softly, "Missed me?"
