Owen walked up to the panicking Evelyn and said, "Mrs. Jackson, please come with us."

Evelyn shook her head repeatedly, yelling, "It wasn't me! You can't arrest me!"

Owen had heard this excuse so many times from people he'd caught. In a calm but firm voice, he explained, "Your assistant called the cleaner at Treasure Trove. Scared of the consequences, she secretly recorded their talk. In the recording, Lucas explains how to tamper the store's security system. Your assistant has already been caught and admitted everything. We have witnesses and proof. Out of respect for your husband, we'll let you keep some dignity. We'll put the handcuffs on once you're in the police car."

When Evelyn heard that her asistant had been arrested too, her bruised and scratched face looked even sadder, and she couldn't speak. She followed Owen out of Marlon's front door, feeling defeated, and walked toward the police car.
