C1. Realization

What? What was that?

A peculiar phrase "PCS Entry+", materialized in the lower left corner of my vision. Gradually, it fades away in thin air. Interestingly, it was written the same way just like the encyclopedia system from a while ago.

"I'm fine, I'm fine, I just couldn't handle that noise-" Armon said.

I decided to give the encyclopedia system a try by simply blinking my eyes twice, and surprisingly, it actually worked flawlessly.

To my delight, the system remained unchanged, with its familiar sections – PCS, Perks, Archive, and the enigmatic coded words.

Judging by what the words said, it must be corelated to PCS. Intrigued, I directed my hand towards the PCS section and pressed it as if it were a conventional button.

With anticipation, I scrolled down, hoping to stumble upon some fresh and intriguing information. And there it was, just below Morgan's image, akin to a profile picture, I found Mckinney's profile, scanning through each piece of information meticulously as if solving a fascinating puzzle.

"A man who possess a captivating and charming personality. He frequently utilizes his influence and authority to fulfill his desires. He often emerges victorious in any discussions or debates, which leaves certain individuals feeling skeptical about his methods.

Over time, he has established countless connections across the city, and now he is striving to win the mayoral election. To achieve this goal, he is relying on the support of those close to him."

Just like in Morgan's profile, there were additional lines below this paragraph that were also covered with black lines.

It does strike me as peculiar as to why the description is intentionally portraying Mckinney in a negative light.

However, I shouldn't hastily jump to conclusions based on the assumption that he is depicted as a bad person who manipulates others to achieve his desires.

Consequently, it is important for me to verify the accuracy of these pieces of information. I need to dig deeper and ascertain whether these details are indeed true and reliable.

As I ruminate on my thoughts, a sudden epiphany strikes me, revealing a potential solution for obtaining evidence.

"ok, ready, 1, 2… 3!" Nurse Katy said as he helps Armon.

"Hagh!" Armon groan with his old man voice as he push himself getting up to his bed.

Nurse Katy, feeling a bit fatigued, takes a moment to catch her breath after tending to the elderly gentleman.

"would you look at that… even just for a little walk on a little distance, I can't even handle it alone."

Armon said, adjusting his position on the bed, wore a thoughtful expression with a touch of melancholy.

His gaze fixed upon the ceiling, his eyes bears the marks of time etched upon them. He seemed lost in his thoughts, perhaps burdened by some hidden worries or sadness.

Nurse Katy briefly looked back at him after he finished speaking before redirecting her attention to checking his intravenous levels.

"C'mon now, you've reached the window without even my help." Katy said.

"either way... can't believe it all has gone to this." Armin said.

"get some sleep now or else you'll be older than you are now."

"wait, hold on, any replies?"

*sigh* "none" Katy said with a low tone of voice.

The old man said and expressed a mild sense of letdown through his face. Gradually, he aloowed his eyes to shut, experiencing a slight weariness, and took a series of deep breaths, attempting to rejuvenate himself.

"Nurse Katy" I said abruptly right behind her as she was about to leave Armon's space inside the room.

"Ah!" I unintentionally startled her.

"what's your favorite color-" I asked with no hesitation

"what? Why are you asking me?" she replied.

"just answer me."

"Red"

PCS Update+

This time, something was different. I noticed a vibrant glow right before my eyes, located in the bottom right corner. Instead of the usual words "entry", it now displayed "update."

This discovery validated a portion of my hypothesis, suggesting that there must be an existing profile for nurse Katy ready to be accessed somewhere within the PCS tab. All I need to do is delve deeper into my search to uncover it.

"Nathan why are you here?" she asked.

Have I encountered the term PCS before? It sounds familiar.

Encyclopedias serve as repositories of knowledge about specific subjects and continually expand their information to include the latest updates. It's similar to how I stay updated on someone's profile. However, I'm still left wondering why certain parts of their information are inaccessible to me.

"Nathan Hey!" she said.

When did I receive Morgan's profile? Or rather, a better question would be when did I start receiving these profiles?

Based on my best guess, I believe that I received their profile the first time I met them. So, it seems like the profiles are being saved with me when I have an initial encounter with the person.

I glanced at Armin for a moment while he lays in bed.

Yes, I was right.

It was the precise moment when nurse Katy mentioned Armin's name that I received his personal profile. This revelation also confirms that the system has been consistently collecting profiles since the time I was brought here, or perhaps even earlier, when I was still residing in the cemetery. This explains why Morgan's profile is already recorded. And maybe it's not just Morgan's profile but Amy's as well.

"Get back to your bed Nathan" she commanded.

Was the determining factor the name itself? Or was it the moment I first encountered the person?

If the process of gathering profiles had already begun prior to that, then it is highly likely that I had come across the profiles of the orange-haired gentleman, the two young ladies, the individual standing beside the bed, the person who hurriedly approached them, and possibly even the elderly woman and her sone at the cemetary.

"NATHAN!" nurse Katy shouted at me and bonked my head with her dark blue clipboard.

"Ah!" I returned back to my senses.

"Get back to your bed"

"Would you two shut the hell up!" old man Armin said.

"Sorry sir." Both of us said at the same time.

After that incident, the only thing I did was lie on my bed for the remainder of the day. It seemed like all I could manage was to rest and recover from whatever had occurred earlier.
