Chapter 27: A Shift In Tides
On top of everything else that was going on, Azia and Zeke were expected to make final decisions on options for their wedding. The pair of them were thrust together time and time again to meet with florists, to meet with caterers, to meet with cake decorators. Occasionally the heirs were alone, but most of the time they were accompanied by their mothers, who both insisted on meeting any professional the packs hired.
Azia had never wanted a large or lavish wedding. She still dreaded the idea of being the center of attention, especially in a large dress. Zeke had never considered the size or grandeur of his future wedding when he was a kid, but he was certain had it been his choice, he would not have large, elaborate lighting installed, he would serve macaroni and cheese, and centerpieces would have been optional.
