Chapter 32: Lexis Concerns
Lexi looked through the castle bedroom window which was formerly used by servants who worked there many years ago. He saw Melinda laying on the bed fast asleep. He had tried to follow what was going on by moving between Raul's home and this hostage room, but he could not understand what was going on. It was strange that both Melinda and Raul were fast asleep when he needed vital information from them, but he hated to disturb their sleep. In his past experience, he had learned that people were rather irritable when one disturbed their sleep and their memories were not so good either. This would not help in a situation where both children needed their full wits about them. But what if it was not a normal sleep? It was still daytime and yet they slept so deeply. Could it be supernatural? He pecked at the window anyway.
Melinda stirred in her sleep after a while, and Lexi wondered whether she was about to wake up. In that case, she had to do it before her captor returned.
