Wolf's Zone

A young girl, Letty Black, understands that the last thing she remembers is her father's death. Her childhood, teen years, first kiss, and first love are a tabula rasa. Her memories are gone, and no matter what she did and how many qualified doctors she had seen, there's no progress in getting her memories back except for strange dreams: an unknown city, a handsome blond man with magnificent blue-brown eyes, and... wolves...? What do all those dreams mean? Is she mad, or that's a hidden world under her nose?

"You wonder what I'm doing here? I'm just… I never saw Originals!" The girl sat on the grass in front of me and looked at me from the down again. I stood up, and turned my head in the direction of the abandoned territory, looking for any danger. There were only dead trees and plants, nothing more. I turned back to Wendy, sat on the grass, and looked up at the skyline. The sky was blue and clear, not even a single cloud was visible.

"You miss him… I mean Aiden?" Wendy said, attracting my attention back.

I sharpened my teeth and roared silently.

"He'll come back as soon, as everything will be safe!" She said to comfort me, then stood up. She was about to go back to the camp when she turned to me and said words, that took the ground away from my paws, "You know, when you left, William called you Queen. Everyone is still in shock…"

I blinked several times as if something fell into my eyes. I think it was just a human habit that I couldn't get rid of, even being a wolf.

"No one expected him to say that. William is pretty… Ehm… How to say that…"

"Man of principle?" We both jumped from unexpectedness, and looked at William, appearing from the bushes, "I called you Queen because that's true. Wendy, can you leave us alone?"

"Of course," Wendy looked at me, smiled, then left us alone. I stood up, turned away from William, and looked at the abandoned territory. They are distracting me from the patrolling. I roared.

"I know, we're distracting, but I got a message from Aiden. He arrived at the Pack and settled everything, men are patrolling the borders, and Aiden is among them. He'll come back in the evening, and I'll change him…" He stood near me and put his hand on my spine. I shook my fur, "You know that due to the werewolf's pack's rules, the Alpha of the first Pack in the hierarchy is called Alpha King, thus, his mate is Alpha Queen."

I turned my head in his direction and barked.

"When you became officially Aiden's mate, you became a Queen, almost officially. The claiming mark will define it," he looked at me with a strict facial expression, "Yes, there's a specific claiming mark, however it can be put on your neck only after the official mating ceremony. After that mark, you will officially become the Queen and Luna of our Pack."

{Isn't it too many titles for one me?}

"It's not too much, if you think so…" He said as if reading my thoughts, "Let's talk when you'll get back to your human form. I'll change you here in an hour and a half…" He disappeared into the bushes, leaving me alone with my thoughts.

Still, even hearing what William said, I think it's too many titles for me. I haven't done anything special yet to deserve all those titles and to be honest, I don't want people to call me like that for nothing. Each title should be deserved, especially the Queen title. I shook my fur and ran forward-looking aside for any sign of danger. Then, I decided to run over the camp territory, and my she-wolf was very happy to add some speed to our boring walk.

"You said that to her?" Catherine asked me, having her hands crossed over her chest. She's teasing me.

"Yup," I said, took a bottle of fresh water from the table, opened it, and made a few greedy gulps, still looking at her…chest…

"Have you asked Aiden? Maybe he didn't want her to know it yet!" Her voice was irritated. I put the bottle back on the table and looked into her eyes. She was furious.

"Have I ever done anything without asking Aiden?!" She made me furious as well. How dare she think I could tell something to Letty without asking his permission.

"When have you asked it? He ran away from the camp in a hurry!" Her words made me lose my temper for a second, but I got it back. Being a Beta requires a lot of patience and a fresh mind in any situation.

"If you haven't forgotten, we can communicate without words" I took my leather jacket and went to the zipper to get out of the tent. She got my hand, but I threw it away and went outside. When I stepped into the fresh air, I smelled food prepared on the fire, but I didn't want to eat now. I'm too irritated to talk to anyone or explain something. The most irritating thing for me is when my wife suddenly doubts my actions.

"William came back!" I heard she was pleasing while I was going outside the camp to find Letty. I didn't even turn my head, just stopped aside from camp and concentrated on the forest. Her paws touched the ground full of tree branches, with a fast heartbeat, and heavy breathing. She's to the south of me, somewhere near the lake. Maybe, she's hungry or wants food? Or maybe she wants to get back to human form but doesn't have any clothes. I turned back to the camp and went straight to their tent, without paying attention to anyone. Suddenly, someone took my shoulder and made me stop and turn away.

"What's up, William?" it was Chipa.

"Nothing serious. Wanted to grab clothes and food for Letty. She didn't eat from the morning, and soon, I'll change her…" I said, zipped up their tent, and went inside. She stood aside and waited for me to get outside. "How's Mark?"

"Ehm…" She blushed, then started playing with her green T-shirt, "He proposed to live together… I'm still thinking"

"You told Aiden?" I asked, and went to the food table to grab some food for Letty.

"I think he knows, but no, I haven't." She helped me to grab some food for Letty, and brought a bottle of fresh water, I packed everything into the bag, threw it on my shoulder, and looked at her.

"Of course, he knew, but still you need to tell him. Do it in the evening, he might help you to get the right decision. He knew Mark better than anyone else here…" I stroked her shoulder, then went to the south, where I sniffed Letty. I still can sniff her there, maybe she went to the lake? Likewise, I don't want to interrupt her, perhaps I should call her out. But she's in a werewolf form, probably…

I heard some footsteps and shook my wet fur, then jumped out of the lake and shook it again. I sniffed.

{William.}

I barked, letting him know he can come closer. Probably, it's time to change me. Honestly, it's a perfect time because I'm so damn hungry, I'm ready to eat my paw.

"I came to change you and brought you some things…But, no towel…"

I shook my fur, and he threw the backpack to the grass, then turned around for me to change. I went to the tree, transformed back to the human form, wiped my body with a T-shirt he got for me, then put lingerie, jeans, and sweater on me, and went away from the tree, put on my shoes, and rubbed my wet red hair.

"Thanks a lot!"

"You're welcome…" He turned his face at me, then looked at the lake, "Do you have anything to ask before I'll transform?"

"I have a lot of things to ask, but… I'm too hungry, and I want water at least…" He pointed to the backpack, and I opened it to find… sandwiches and water there. I rounded my eyes and looked at him, "Th…thanks…"

"I promised to take care of you, Princess…" he smiled, then looked at his watch, "Time to fresh-up my head, see ya…"

He ran back to the road and the border, transforming while running, and I turned away, took the backpack, and went back to the camp, still eating.

When I stepped back to the camp, I saw boys playing volleyball not far away from me, and girls sitting at soft beanbag chairs, far away from them, in the clearing under the sun. I smiled. Everything is calm here, and everyone is safe. We're doing good, even if Aiden is away. He would be proud of us.

"Hey Letty, come here and play with us!" Mark called me.

"No, thanks, I prefer to eat, have a coffee and have a rest…" I smiled, then went to the tent, threw my backpack there, then went back to the food table. I made a salad, took sandwiches William made for me, made a coffee, and went to the dinner table to eat it. However, before I could take my phone out and call Aiden to ask how he was going, a group of girls sat near me.

"Hello Letty, busy?" said Ifa.

"No, just eating," I smiled and put my phone back in my pocket, then took a bite of the sandwich and started chewing it.

"We wanted to chat with you a bit, if you don't mind…" Said a tall girl with dark brown hair, deep emerald eyes, and a thin body. She had perfect white teeth and a very friendly smile. She was dressed in a jeans jumpsuit, a black T-shirt, a jeans jacket, and black sneakers. Sally. Almost the first one from Chipa's girl's pack whom I met in this city.

"No, I don't, if you don't mind me eating," I smiled at her, took some salad to my fork, put it in my mouth, chewed, and swallowed.

I felt there's something important they want to ask me, but don't dare. I wonder… what's that?
