Wolf's Zone

A young girl, Letty Black, understands that the last thing she remembers is her father's death. Her childhood, teen years, first kiss, and first love are a tabula rasa. Her memories are gone, and no matter what she did and how many qualified doctors she had seen, there's no progress in getting her memories back except for strange dreams: an unknown city, a handsome blond man with magnificent blue-brown eyes, and... wolves...? What do all those dreams mean? Is she mad, or that's a hidden world under her nose?

First date ever

I ran back to the bedroom, but before I was able to get my phone and delete the message, the doorbell rang. I thought it was Mary or Mr. Kell, as no one else could visit me here, went to the corridor without the slightest thought, opened the door and…

"Aiden?" I asked, hearing my own surprised voice echoing in the corridor. I quickly made a few steps back and looked over myself, being dressed in silk pajamas. It consisted of a pair of light-blue shorts and a tank top of the same color. I turned red from head to toes, then looked back at Aiden, "Morning…"

"Morning, Princess," Aiden smiled, giving me a bouquet of stunning smelling fire lilies, then run with his blue-brown eyes all over me, and smiled charmingly again, "Nice pajamas."

"Oh, thanks," I felt my cheeks turn the same color as those fire lilies and maybe even darker, and made me go backward again, trying to hide under that bouquet, "Come in! Sorry, I just woke up a few minutes ago, was reading late."

"Managed to get documents from that old boring lady?" he smirked, then went inside and put his hands in his pockets after closing the door behind his back, "She's annoying, isn't she?"

"I said you ordered me to get them," I blushed harder, "She didn't have a choice but to get back and gave me them!"

Aiden chuckled.

"Nice one!"

"Please, make yourself comfortable. You can go to the kitchen, I'll make us some coffee after changing clothes, okay?"

"I can brew us amazing coffee, while you change clothes?" Aiden went deeper into the room and turned to the kitchen, while I went to the bedroom, still hiding behind the bouquet.

"Sure thing!"

I ran to the bedroom and closed the door, pressing my back to the wall and taking a deep breath in and out a few times. I need to gather myself and stop being a dummy girl that blushes all the time the guy whom she likes says something! So, I put the bouquet on the bed table, ran to the bathroom, washed my face and brushed my teeth, wrapped my face with a bath towel, then ran back to the bedroom. I opened the wardrobe, put on lingerie, then a blue pencil skirt and white blouse with a plunging neckline. After that, I brushed my hair, and hurried to the kitchen, taking the bouquet with me as well.

When I got closer to the kitchen, a stunning smell of freshly brewed coffee caught my nose in a trap.

"Your coffee is on the table," Aiden said when I just got to the kitchen, without making any noise, however, as a werewolf, he probably heard me coming.

"Thanks," I smiled, then put the flowers into the vase and got closer to him, pouring some water into the vase for the bouquet. Aiden looked at me, then poured coffee into the cup, and waited until I'll go and put the vase on the table, so he can clean after himself. I sat at a chair and took a sip of coffee, enjoying its taste.

"It's so tasty. Thanks, Aiden!" I smiled, while he took a seat in front of me.

"The best coffee is made by my Beta, but mine is that bad as well, let's agree on that point." He smiled, took a sip, then put the cup of coffee back on the table and crossed hands at his chest, "I got your message yesterday. You read everything she gave you?"

"I was about to delete that message when you came," I giggled, then looked at him and nodded, "Yes. Stayed late reading."

"Yesterday's message was the first question?" Aiden asked, taking a sip of coffee, then crossing his hands on his chest again. I nodded in response, giving him some time to think, however, his answer was in a second after my nod, "You can't transform into your wolf form because your werewolf part is sleeping. When you forgot about your father and this world, you forgot your werewolf part too."

"Can I wake her up somehow?" I asked with interest, seeing his concerned look.

"You can, however… We thought those documents from the archive would help," Aiden shrugged, then sighed, "But seems it didn't. There should be another way out."

"My werewolf part… Is she living in my like a second personality or…?"

"She's a part of you, Letty. You're like conscious and unconscious parts," he shrugged again, "That's hard to explain. You'll understand better when you'll feel it on your own."

"There was a note in the documents that both of my parents were original werewolves, what does it mean?" I looked at Aiden, then brought myself a notebook and a pen and started writing his previous answers, in case I'll lose my memory once again, I won't disturb him with the same questions.

"They are also called ancient werewolves. They were the first who appeared on Earth after a wolf bit a human. They are bigger, stronger, and more powerful than normal werewolves. However, all the original werewolves might have a gift, like a foresight gift or a mind-reading ability. Your father had the first gift, the second is mine. There are a lot of other gifts, however, all the original werewolves who had them, died," Aiden looked at the watch on his left wrist, then at me, "Don't want to go out? We can have breakfast in a Café?"

"Sure, we can talk while going," I smiled, and stood up, taking a notebook with me. We cleaned our cups, then I took my purse, put on comfortable blue sneakers, and joined Aiden on the street. He was looking ideal in his crystal white shirt shining in the sun, and dark gray jeans. He also had comfortable black sneakers.

We went along the street, but this time, to the upper side of the city, where I haven't been yet from the time I'm here. Aiden asked if I have nothing against taking his elbow, and sure thing I didn't, so we were walking along like a couple.

"Wait," I finally broke the silence near us again, "You said mind-reading gift? You can read people's minds?"

"Yes, but only werewolves' minds, so I can't read what's in your head at now," he led me to the city park, and we went on the stone-paved path. I could see a lot of blooming flowers here and there, and big green trees. However, the territory of the park was very clean, with a lot of benches and beautiful places for picnics.

"I don't even know if it's good or not," Aiden chuckled at my words, leading me probably to the Café through the Park.

"You and I are the last known original wolves, Letty. I said "known" as we can't say for sure that all the original werewolves joined your father's Pack, and if all of them were in the Pack when it burned out." He shrugged again, then stopped and looked at a thick oak tree, "However, from the time the Pack territory burned, I haven't heard about any other original werewolf."

"What actually happened to the Pack? How it burned?" I asked, but Aiden shook his head negatively.

"If only I knew… Some werewolves spread rumors that something happened in the Pack, that your father made a choice to burn it, but I don't think it's true. Your father wouldn't do that to the werewolves, whom he gathered from all over the world."

"What could have happened in the Pack that someone would decide to burn it with all the pack members and the forest around? I'd never believed my father was a killer!" I yelled angrily, and Aiden looked at me with a thin smile on his lips.

"Easy. Neither do I," Aiden pointed at the oak tree in front of us, "Can you guess what's so specific about this tree?"

My mood changed from angry to curious in a second. I tried to look over all my memory to find at least something specific about that tree to not look like a fool, but I couldn't. I sighed and shook my head, hugging my shoulders as if trying to protect myself.

"Unfortunately…"

"That tree had seen our first kiss, Letty" Aiden suddenly said, throwing the ground out of my legs. I looked up at him with my eyes full of shock, however, he wasn't disappointed. He was smiling, and I couldn't understand why?

Suddenly, he came closer to me, took my chin with his fingers, and pulled me closer to himself. I was smaller than him for a head or so, so I stood on my toes for our eyes to be on the same level.

"Do you have something against if that tree would see our kiss again?"
