Don't underestimate me

To be the center isn't a trait of my character, I never liked to be the center of someone's attention or rumors, but in the case where my mate is the Alpha, that's inevitable. Especially, in the case where I caught the robbers and stopped them on my own, without any additional help except my werewolf.

"So that is the reason the craft beer was absent?" Aiden looked down at me as if waiting for my reply. If I were in the human form, my cheeks would turn as red as William's T-shirt, but thanks to Moon God I was still in a wolf's form. Even if I could blush, that won't be visible regarding my black thick fur.

{It is.}

I thought, knowing Aiden can hear me better than all the surrounding werewolves. Suddenly, I felt his hand touching my hand, and his fingers bursting in my fur. My body became so weak that I sat on the wolf's butt and closed my eyes, forgetting everything going on around here. I was concentrating on his fingers rubbing my fur and slightly touching the wolf's skin. His hand wasn't moving from my head, so he probably was enjoying what he was doing as well. It looked like he was saying thanks for the good job I've made.

"So, that's what you wanted? To spoil all the plans we had for this camp?" Aiden asked, his voice was calm and plain, without any anger. He was behaving pretty calmly, proving he has perfect self-control even in a situation like this where his plans were almost crushed by two stupid teenagers.

"We wanted to make our own camp!" Screamed one of the teens, and I roared at him for raising his voice for the Alpha. At the same time, a few werewolves roared at him, they were close to me but as far as my gaze was fixed on the boy, I wasn't able to see who it was. However, the reaction of the boy was the one I expected, he made a few steps back into the darkness of the truck, perhaps out of fear. Aiden reacted faster than any one of us. He showed with his eyes to the few guards who were not far away from us, so they jumped into the truck and caught the robbers.

I decided to jump up to the hill and go to our house to change into a human form and clothes, and that's what I did. It took me less than five minutes, and I climbed down to Aiden and the rest of the werewolves that were still gathering near the truck. Aiden quickly looked at me from up to down, allowing his eyes to stop at the black skinny jeans and dark-red not-so-warm sweater with the V-neckline, then asked me to come closer and put his hand at my waist. I kissed his cheek shortly, then hugged his torso and looked at the two teenagers that were delivered from the truck down to the place where we were all standing. The guards made the boys kneel down in front of Aiden, and forced them to put their heads down. I was observing the whole situation and wasn't even going to protest. Even if they are just some young boys, they made a robbery, and everything that is happening to them, for now, is their fault.

"What you're gonna do with them?" William stepped closer to Aiden and me, looking somewhere in the direction of Aiden's hair that was freely dancing in the wind. I looked at Aiden too as I was curious about his decision. They are teenagers, after all… stupid kids offended at the adults that didn't let them participate in the camp.

"They are kids, even if they made the robbery, they are still the kids, and we can't punish them regarding the rules," Aiden paused and looked at me. His eyes suddenly lit up with some idea. He turned his face back to the boys and showed with his hand to the guards to release them. When the boys stood up, Aiden asked them to look at him, but they didn't even move their heads up.

"No one is allowed to look into the Alphas' eyes, except for the Luna. Even if the Alpha asks for it, it can't be done," one of the boys said, and I saw Aiden was surprised.

"So, you do know the rules. What's your name?"

"Orion," said the boy, and nodded at his friend with his head, "And that's my elder brother, Simon."

Aiden narrowed his eyes, then looked at William as if asking a silent question. William just nodded back at him, and Aiden looked back at the two teenagers.

"Orion and Simon, your father is one of the sniffers, right? Xavier Haston?" Both of the boys nodded at Aiden's words, and he suddenly burst into a laugh. "Your father will be glad to hear the news about you…"

"Please, please don't tell the father!" Suddenly Simon, the younger brother, fell to his knees and started begging Aiden to not tell those new to his father. I sighed and looked at Aiden. My poor kind heart couldn't bear this anymore.

"As far as I'm your Luna, and the one who caught them, let me decide what to do with them," I made the most confident look I ever could make. However, Aiden just smirked and pressed me tightly to himself.

"That's what I was going to do anyway."

"Nice, thanks. Then, you two," I looked at the boys making my face look as strict as possible, as well as my voice. I saw it was working, and both of them started slightly shaking. So, I lead on, "Go home now and come to the Alphas' house tomorrow at 6 a.m. And don't even try to escape, I'll find both of you easily."

They nodded but remained in their places.

"What… what should we tell our parents? Too many werewolves saw what we had done," Orion asked, pressing his brother to himself to prevent him from painting. I sighed.

"No one will say even a word about that. And to your parents, say that Alpha and Luna have some work for you. You're both fourteen and up, right?"

"Orion is probably sixteen," I said, observing the boy from up till down. They both nodded but remained silent. I repeated, "Go home."

They waited for a few more seconds, then went back home with their heads bend down from embarrassment. I looked at William and pointed at the truck.

"Before they came, I managed to check all the products are in their places," I reported, then shrugged, "But I lost the list somewhere in the truck while transforming."

"No problem, when we'll be uploading, we'll find it. Thanks, Letty, you save all of us," William grinned at me, then looked at Aiden as if waiting for a command. He just nodded, so the Beta pointed at the two trucks, "Close them and move to the camp place. There are werewolves who will upload and guard everything."

Aiden turned me around and pointed at the staircase.

"Let's go back to the house."

I just nodded at his words, then went up the staircase, and straight to the house. We stopped in the kitchen, and looked at each other, hearing the grumbles of our empty stomachs. Aiden and I chuckled, then he went to make tea for us, while I started preparing sandwiches and salad to not fall asleep with empty stomachs. We sat at the table close to each other and made a few sips of tea and a few bites of sandwiches before we were able to start a talk.

"So, you are planning to not only catch the strangers at the camp?" Aiden shook his head negatively at my words, swallowing the tea and a piece of sandwich.

"It was one of the main goals, but not the only one. Our Pack is producing our own beer and some new fruits, and we planned to introduce them to the other Packs to agree on cooperation. We'll produce, and they'll buy, paying us the money. Inner Packs trade."

"That's not a bad idea after all," I smiled, eating the salad. Aiden took a sip of tea again, and his eyes suddenly warmed up.

"And you saved us from embarrassment, as we already promised the presentation. What would be presented if you won't catch those robbers?" Aiden looked at me blushing and smiled. I turned red from head to toes and even stopped eating to not choke.

"You know, I would say thanks for the compliment if I won't be so shy. I think we'd catch them anyway, they are kids after all," I tried to hide my burning face behind a cup of tea. Aiden laughed at my words, then took a sip of tea as well.

"To change the topic. What are you going to do with them? Some lesson to prevent them from robbery? I don't think it will work anyway," Aiden fixed the gaze of his blue and brown eyes on me. That was my turn to laugh.

"I'm not that stupid, am I?"

Aiden kept silent, looking at me. I pouted my lips.

"I plan to make them work and earn their own money to have a clear understanding of why the robbery is such a bad thing."

To say that Aiden was surprised by my decision is to say nothing. My words made him shocked, as he didn't expect me to think that globally. Some other girl could probably get offended, but not me. I was smiling, enjoying his shock and the understanding that he was still underestimating me.

"My father was the Alpha, remember?" I mocked him, taking a sip of tea. Aiden cleared his throat and nodded.

"Of course I do. It's just unexpectedly that you inherited so much of his traits," Aiden tried to make the situation easy, but he was still shocked, and his self-control couldn't help him to hide it. I smiled brightly.

"You don't know the true me. Even I don't know all the traits and abilities I inherited from my father," I kissed his cheek and stood up, clearing the table. Aiden waited for a few seconds, then helped me. He went to catch some fresh air while I went to the shower, still smiling.

{Never underestimate the Wolf Princess…}
