Thor and the Equine Thunder God joined forces with their hammers, and the effect of their union transcended the simple arithmetic of one plus one equals two, unleashing a terrifying power akin to that of a true All-Father.
Even a casual swing from their hammers now unleashed a force far beyond any previous charged attack.
Not even the cursed warrior before them could withstand it, let alone Thor's sister Hela, or Clark before his ascension to a cosmic deity, even with the power of the Infinity Stone.
This was the power of an All-Father!
As the battle progressed, the Thunder Gods' movements became more effortless and their coordination flawless.
The cursed warrior began to show signs of overwhelming fatigue, and at this point, the Thunder Gods finally tuned their surrounding thunderous power to an optimal state. With a tacit understanding, they simultaneously hurled their hammers forward.
As the hammers spun through the air, they entwined and transformed into a perfect wheel of lightning, spinning and merging their powers into an unprecedented new peak.
Even Clark, hiding in the shadows, felt his heart tremble at the sight of this power.
Such was the terror of the Thunder!
This strike was not only incredibly powerful but also astonishingly fast. By the time the cursed warrior realized it was unstoppable, it was too late to dodge.
"Boom!"
The intertwined hammers struck the cursed warrior with a thunderous roar, obliterating him instantly without even a scream, leaving no trace of his body in the surrounding environment.
The power of the hammers didn't cease there; after the initial strike, they continued their relentless path forward. Every Dark Elf stepping onto the Rainbow Bridge was annihilated by this strike, leaving none behind! Even after decimating the enemy forces, the twin hammers didn't stop—they smashed the circular fortress at the end of the Rainbow Bridge into rubble, then disappeared into the heavens.
After completing this feat, the two Thunder Gods shared a smile. Seemingly in sync, they both stretched out their right hands and held the pose for nearly a minute before the hammers returned from a distance unknown, back into their masters' hands.
"Clap! Clap! Clap!…" Seeing the impressive performance of the two Thunder Gods, Clark couldn't help but applaud continuously, revealing himself from the shadows and saying, "Your performance was excellent. To think of combining the power of the Thunder Gods in such a way, exceeding your own limits—it's truly eye-opening!"
Hearing Clark's praise, Thor awkwardly scratched the back of his head and humbly said, "It's all thanks to your good planning, Uncle. You allowed me to experience the true essence of power in dire situations, and now you praise me… Haha, it's making me a bit embarrassed."
Clark was momentarily stunned.
Their realization during the battle and their new use of Thunder God power—what did that have to do with him?
How had this become his arrangement?
Clark responded, "I didn't expect my wise nephew to think so deeply, not only understanding the new usage of Thunder God power but even appreciating my painstaking efforts. Your performance has far exceeded my expectations, and for that, I am truly gratified."
As the war ended, Thor curiously asked, "Uncle, since you had the leisure to watch our battle, does that mean you've already taken care of Malekith?"
"Sigh…" Hearing this, Clark couldn't help but sigh.
Clark received an impression score of +99999 from Thor Odinson!
Seeing Thor's guilty expression, Clark was utterly bewildered.
Thor's self-reproach was utterly baffling to Clark.
However, being a cosmic deity, Clark's mind was far superior to ordinary humans, and he quickly understood Thor's thoughts.
Thor believed that Clark had intentionally used the cursed warrior to train him but was worried about his safety, which is why he was distracted during the battle with Malekith, allowing the Dark Elf king to escape. Otherwise, with Clark's abilities, defeating Malekith would have been as easy as taking something from a pocket or observing a pattern on the palm—how could he let him escape from Asgard?
Patting Thor on the shoulder, Clark solemnly said, "You don't need to worry too much about it; what's done is done. However, I'll need to use your Golden Palace temporarily to monitor changes in the Nine Realms. If anything unusual arises, I can quickly intervene to eliminate the threat."
Hearing Clark's seemingly accepting response, Thor was inwardly moved and expressed that the Golden Palace and everything in Asgard were at Clark's disposal.
However, what did Clark's failure to eliminate Malekith have to do with Thor?
Absolutely nothing!
In reality, the ether particles being released on the day of the Convergence and the Dark Elves awakening on that same day was no coincidence.
Malekith understood the spatial changes caused by the Convergence far better than Clark.
During their battle aboard the Dark Elf flagship, when Malekith realized he couldn't match Clark's strength, he immediately escaped through a spatial wormhole created by the Convergence.
Seeing Malekith fleeing, Clark immediately followed without hesitation, determined not to stop until he had caught him.
However, after passing through several wormholes, he lost track of him.
The instability of the wormholes formed by the Convergence was to blame; Malekith had entered one and escaped, and just as Clark was about to follow, the wormhole vanished.
Although Clark possessed the Space Stone, allowing him to travel freely across the universe, without being able to pinpoint his enemy's location, his ability to traverse space was useless. Could he possibly search aimlessly across the Nine Realms?
Initially, Clark thought the Dark Elves wouldn't be too challenging to handle, just needing to utilize Asgard's resources to deal with them. However, it seemed now that he needed to be better prepared.
Upon returning to the Golden Palace, Clark unceremoniously sat on Thor's throne, then immediately created a duplicate using the Space Stone to send to S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters to consult with Nick Fury about Earth's defense strategies. Only then did he begin using the Golden Palace's powers to monitor all changes within the Nine Realms.
Sitting in the Golden Palace, Clark felt he could observe any corner of the Nine Realms simultaneously, which, although somewhat taxing on his mental energy, was well within manageable limits.
This was the immense power of the Golden Palace, allowing one to achieve a degree of omniscience.
Even while searching for Malekith's trail, Clark occasionally checked on his friends on Earth.
Agent Hill was helping Fury initiate emergency protocols, Ava was training physically, Daisy was taking a shower, Nalan Bai was holding a board meeting at Nirvana Group, Daisy was taking a shower, Hank Pym and a group of scientists were studying a sample of Thanos brought back from their last encounter, Daisy was taking a shower… cough, cough.
Licking his lips, Clark couldn't help but feel more satisfied with the Golden Palace.
Such incredible abilities!
Of course, his attention to his friends on Earth was just a by-product; his main focus remained on the broader situation in the Nine Realms. Any attempt by Malekith to use the ether particles to alter reality would undoubtedly cause significant disturbances, impossible to miss under his watchful eye.
Daisy was still taking a… cough, cough.
Suddenly, a
burst of dark energy, powerful and familiar, erupted from Svartalfheim, the realm of the Dark Elves.
This energy was somewhat similar to the ether particles Malekith had used in their battle, yet different, containing not only his own dark energy as king of the Dark Elves but also a more potent, more terrifying, and crueler dark energy that Clark knew all too well.
This was dark magic energy from Dormammu!
At the same time, a long-missed voice resounded in Clark's mind.
"Due to the King of the Dark Elves, Malekith, succumbing to the temptations of Dormammu, the ruler of the Dark Dimension, and becoming his servant while gaining the power of dark magic, he intends to use the ether particles to absorb the Nine Realms, including Earth, into the Dark Dimension for consumption. The Task of Passing the Flame is now activated!"
Task of Passing the Flame 1: Eliminate the Dark Apostle Malekith, seize the Pym Particles from him, and thoroughly thwart Dormammu's nefarious plan.
Task Reward: The special BGM "Moving Heaven" will be fully charged.
Failure Penalty: If the task fails, the system will no longer issue the Task of Passing the Flame to the host!
