Chapter Four : The Witch X The Truth

"What do you mean you didn't want to kill?" Samuel asked. Looking at her, he could tell there's something she's not telling them. Her hand gestures suggested she was scared to speak. Her eyes never addressing anyone but the decor in the wooden room. She stayed silently until he asked again. "If you know something that we don't, then I advise you to speak up. I can't promised your life will be spared but just maybe we can understand why you have caused so much destruction and chaos in the world."

Luna sighing, she lifted up her colorful spiral eyes. Tears streaming down her pale face she shouted. "Because I was forcefully awaken from my slumber?!" Ethane and his clan, looking at the other. They didn't understand what she meant as she continued to explained on. She explained why she must remain sleep for thousands to millennium years on, and if forced to awaken before her rebirth. She would awaken into a berserker state. Not recognizing friend nor foe.

It happened five years ago. When she first had awaken and the black snow had fallen. Luna explained that she wasn't supposed to had been brought back so early, and doing so meant the doom of the world. Ethane interrupting her he asked. "You mean to tell me the attack on Gatlin and the other planets wasn't planned, but because someone had forcibly awoken you from your slumber. You destroyed everything?" Not wanting to believe that something so serious had caused so much death and destruction was simply due to someone waking her up too early.

Her eyes lifting up from the floor. They watched as she spilled colorful tears down her pale cheeks. Ethane and his family unable to say any words. They watched as Luna cried helpless. The Blackwood family still shocked by all the events that's happening now. Holly Blackwood, carefully walked towards Luna. "You might be The Immortal Witch, The Devouring Mother of Planets… but something inside of me. I don't know why, but it's telling me you're truly remorseful and sincere. Every word you just said wasn't a lie." He told her.

Ethane looking at his sister. He watched the youngest member of the Blackwood family. Picked Luna up by the hands. Dusting her off, Holly grabbed her shoulder. Leading her to a table she sat her down. Before handing her a cloth to wipe her face. Samuel, in that moment felt like he was watching his wife Marlena Blackwood. Holly had grown up to be a remarkable young caster and even more a better human being.

If Marlena Blackwood was alive. Samuel knew she wouldn't approve of the misguided hatred towards Luna. Sighing a defeated but helpless breathe, Samuel spoke. "Listen, You might be telling the truth who knows, but my wife was murdered by you and it's going to take time for any of us to believe you. I get it, you woke up prematurely but killing innocent lives. Destroying families and worlds. Is no excuse. You understand?"

Luna nodding, she continued to cry on. Ethane not wanting to watch anymore he turned his back towards her. Speaking he told her "If possible. I want you to remove what you did to me." His voice empty and hollow with no emotions. Luna, winced from the icy chill of his words. Of all the things Ethane could have asked he had to ask the one thing Luna could not permit. Tears sliding down her cheeks. Luna looked at Ethane as he turned his head away. He didn't wanna look at her anymore. Mostly out of guilt for his family and home planet but also because he knew she was crying.

Seeing Luna cry isn't something Ethane could bare. "Ethane… if I could undo what has happened between the two of us I would but unfortunately. I cannot. You and I, are bound until the end of time. You're my Meister and I am your Witch. We cannot be separated. A Witch must always be accompanied by her Meister." She told him. Samuel Blackwood not understanding what Luna's getting at he asked her "If she could elaborate more on what's going on and what does all this means for his son."

Luna going into deep detailing she explained to Samuel, Holly, and Nero. Exactly what has transpired between Ethane and herself, how Ethane had accidentally stumbled upon her sleeping chambers. Awakening her and agreeing to go into a contract mode with her without asking any questions. Samuel eyeing his son sternly. He looked a bit aggravated as he scratched the top of his forehead. He couldn't believe his son. Just jumped into a shady deal without further wondering who Luna was and why she was asking for all these so called conditions.

"So you cannot exist on your own but must have a male counter part to co exist with? Is that it?" Holly asked her. Luna nodding, Nero looked over at Ethane. Ethane who continue to look away from Luna. Nero could sense there's a lot of mixed emotions running through her master heart, and her own heart. Even though she's just his familiar and isn't allowed to fall in love with her master. Nero still hated the ideal of someone else besides his family and her, who held this much control over him. "If that's the case I wish I hadn't met you that day. Then I wouldn't have been forced to kill those guards and become your personal little robot." Sighing Ethane was fed up. He didn't like how his world went from one hundred to zero quickly in one day.

He felt life had truly screwed him in the arse big time, and that all of this was just the tip of the surface. Closing his eyes. He willed himself to wish all of this away but when he opened his eyes back up. There still sitting down crying in his house was Luna. The Immortal Witch. The witch who had killed his mum, and ruined his entire life. Not just his own families happiness but millions of others from all over. And, what does she have to say for herself… "Oh, I didn't mean to. It's just unfortunately someone forced me to awaken rather earlier than expected. Which in return made me go berserk and call everyone insight."

Ethane skeptical of her own admission. He wasn't buying these excuses she came up with. After all, no matter how hard he tried. He just couldn't see something so harmless causing so much death and destruction. But if indeed this was true. Then Luna… could very well be… a victim herself and that right there. Just won't do. Ethane can't bring himself to see Luna as a victim herself. After all she has never loss a parent, a love one, a friend. She has never watched her home world being destroyed along with countless others. Nah, Luna couldn't begin to understand what it is Ethane and his people were feeling every single day. Even still Ethane couldn't begin to phantom the torment Luna has endured for millenniums ago. After all, how could he? He wasn't even though of in her time. How could he ever know the scars that's haunts her soul.

He couldn't Ethane the young mage caster from
