First Encounter

In front of me stood a vibrant blue screen, displaying the count of 57 survivors. Suddenly, a voice reverberated through the darkened sky, reaching every corner and every being, declaring that the last survivor would inherit the powers of the witch. I found myself completely alone, surrounded by an empty void, with only trees and grass to accompany me in the unsettling darkness.

Abruptly, a rustling sound caught my attention, akin to something slimy slithering nearby. It turned out to be a gelatinous slime that latched onto my arm, its touch immediately causing my skin to dissolve as if being consumed. With each passing moment, the slime grew stronger, intensifying the excruciating pain that ravaged my body. It felt as though I were being burned alive, a torment far beyond what any child should endure. Overwhelmed by agony, I cried out and pleaded for anything or anyone to save me, yet there was no response. Silence enveloped me, not even the sound of the wind to break the oppressive stillness.

In a desperate bid to free myself from the consuming slime, I attempted to tear it apart, but it regenerated with each tear, continuing to devour me. Fueled by desperation, I resorted to consuming the slime in return. Its texture resembled gelatin, but the taste resembled cardboard, inducing a nauseating sensation that made me retch. To my astonishment, the blue screen displayed a message: "Skill learned: Absorption 1." I was confounded by this revelation, struggling to comprehend its meaning. Determined to outlast the ordeal, I persisted in tearing apart and devouring the slime, driven by the desire to see who would endure the longest.

With each successive act of consumption, I sensed myself growing stronger, yet the process left me increasingly fatigued. Despite my exhaustion, I refused to give up, even as the unrelenting pain persisted. Instead of ripping it apart, I placed my hand on the slime and uttered the word "absorb." Miraculously, it vanished, as if merging with me. The blue screen indicated the advancement of my absorption skills: "Skill up: Absorption maxed." Furthermore, my skin transformed, taking on the properties of the slime: "Skill up: Slime Skin maxed." Additionally, I acquired the skill "Slime Master 1."
