Another mutation

Shin could be seen outside a town with Makomo, Susamaru, and Tsuzu behind him. He decided to try taking people from a bigger town than usual since he had Tsuzu to make them come to him.

Shin picked up the little demon and put her on top of a tree so she can get to work. He told her to bring as many as she could back which she only nodded to.

Her spiders quickly got to doing what they did best. It took no more than an hour, Shin was sure she would have finished quicker if it weren't for him saying to bring as many as she could.

When he looked towards where she was he could see there were over a hundred threads around her leading to somewhere.

*Zip!*

Tsuzu pulled on her strings and a hundred corpses flew to the group. Shin knew her blood demon art would be good for this but this was almost too good.

The number of people she killed would definitely gain the demon slayers' attention but it wasn't as if he was afraid of them.

"Tsuzu, are you tired from that?" Shin asked

"Normally I would've gotten tired but after eating last night I feel stronger, I can do this another 3 times but it'll take a while." As she said this she pulled her strings back from the bodies.

"Bring another group, once they get back we'll eat them along with these." Shin said.

Tsuzu did what she was told and an hour later another hundred bodies showed up. Makomo was giving Shin that look when she thought they were eating too much again.

She could only let out a sigh seeing Shin take a bite, Tsuzu quickly hopped down and joined him. Not wanting to be left out, she walked over with Susamaru.

The group of bodies was quickly devoured by the four demons before they knew it. The girls let out a sigh of satisfaction.

Surprisingly Tsuzu began to go through the process of mutation that Shin and Makomo had gone through on their first night.

Shin thought she would have gone through this process already but remembered how she said how little she had eaten over the years.

By the end of it, she came to resemble her other form a bit more. Her hair grew longer and she became almost as tall as Makomo.

While Tsuzu was testing out her new strength, Shin felt his blood heat up and his heart beat faster.

His skin burned off like ash and a comfortable sensation came not long after. He noticed how the first mutation was the hardest to deal with.

When he turned to Makomo he saw ash beneath her, meaning she had gone through the same thing as him like always.

She looked towards him once her mutation was complete. "Master, could I go out to get the swords you requested?" Makomo asked.

"Mn, just go back home before sunrise." Shin answered.

Hearing his words the girl quickly left in anticipation. He didn't need to worry since he knew how strong she was and if she ran into any problem he knew she could. get away.

She shouldn't have any problems unless she runs into any kizuki or a slayer like the ones he fought on the mountain.

"Master look!" Susamaru called out.

Shin turned towards the girl to see she had her extra arms out, yet unlike the other times, she now had three arms on each side instead of her usual two.

She punched the air creating a louder bang than she could usually make, she had gotten more powerful for sure.

Tsuzu was looking at her spiders that were used to tie threads around people, they were moving faster than before and from the look of it, the threads that she and they produced had gotten stronger.

"Congrats." Shin congratulated the two, as he watched them test their abilities he remembered his and Makomo's lack of a blood demon art.

Still, this was expected, it had been a bit over a week since he and Makomo became demons yet they were growing at a fast pace compared to other demons.

Maybe it was because demons usually stayed alone and picked off humans one by one until they were eventually caught and killed.

A normal demon would have thought he was crazy seeing the way he hunted. He took out towns without a second thought while they would cower in fear of slayers.

That didn't mean he wasn't cautious, it just meant he was confident enough to get away with it.

By the time slayers would even know about it he would already be gone, and with Tsuzu he could do things more efficiently.

When Shin looked up at Susamaru he found the temari demon in a giant spider web Tsuzu seemed to have created. "What are you doing?"

"Trying to get out of this web, Tsuzu wanted to test out her new threads so I let her do this." Susamaru answered.

"So you let her trap you in a web?" Shin blankly asked.

"Mn! I will also get some food out of it if I can get myself out!" The demon girl happily shook her head.

Shin looked at Tsuzu who had a confident smile on her face. "And what about you? What will you get if she doesn't?"

"She gets her own food." The girl answered.

"You all are always fighting over food." Shin said, turning back to the temari demon caught in webs.

"It can't be helped master." Susamaru lightly chuckled before pulling herself out of Tsuzu's web.

Tsuzu's eyes widened in disbelief seeing how easily Susamaru pulled herself out, she sighed then snapped her fingers.

A body fell from a tree beside them as if it was anticipating this moment. "There, take it."

Susamaru didn't need to be told twice, she took the body as if it would run away from her. "Thank you spider lady!"

Tsuzu only mumbled her complaints. She hopped back onto the branch she was sitting on before.

Shin sighed at his servants' antics. He was just about to call them so they could go home but a bloodied man ran out from behind a tree. The first thing that got his attention was the man's eyes.
