Chapter30: A Family.

"My name is Aster Frost, the Spirit of Winter, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance," Aster spoke with a bright smile.

"Madoka Uchiha, let's spar some time." Madoka smiled.

"Tatsuya Shiba, we will be in your care." Tatsuya bowed, a man of culture.

"The name is Ryushi Korogane, but just call me Koro-Sensei like the rest. Hope we get along." Koro Sensei went back to his octopus form.

Aster simply looked behind and placed his hand on the wyvern's head, "give us a ride and I will set you free. But remember not to live close to a human settlement, these guys might really get you killed the next time."

The wyvern simply nodded and looked at Aster with a grateful gaze. It growled softly, telling them to get on its back, with Erza setting the course, they flew toward Magnolia. With the wyvern's flying speed they reached the city in a few hours, which would have taken more than a day changing trains and carriages.

When they appeared on the outskirts of the city, Aster patted the wyvern and jumped off with the others after bidding a farewell to the big guy. Each of them had a different way of handling the landing, Erza simply equipped the Heavens' Armour, Aster and Madoka stepped on the plates of ice Aster made, and Tatsuya simply followed them while Koro Sensei floated around them.

They made it to the Guild Hall, Aster looked at the building and the board that had 'Fairy Tail' written over it with many different emotions. For someone like him, who never had a family he knew that this was going to be a new experience for him, he looked at the board with a longing that Erza caught notice of.

"Is everything alright Aster?" Erza asked with her tone carrying hints of concern.

"It's just that I never had a family, and from all that I know that having that mark on you is the sign of bonds, of the love and connection that Fairy Tail members share. If I get the mark, the guild will be the family I never had, I am not sure if I am ready for this." Aster sighed.

"Go for it, it won't be worse than mine. Even if it does not work out, you still have me living with you. Come on, don't just stand there like a monument, show some guts, you are a man right?" Madoka slapped Aster's back with a smile.

"Technically, I am a spirit, but thanks. That helped a lot." Aster smiled gratefully at Madoka, the heaviness in his heart lightened up a lot. He raised his head with high spirits and walked in.

"Don't worry, many of us have a past that we don't speak about our past, for the scars are too deep and yet we learn to love and trust, this is what it means to have a family Aster, a family supports each other, they stick with you in your hard time just as you would do for theirs. We share joys and sorrows equally, we are a Family!" Erza spoke with a soft voice yet it had a power that tugged on Aster's heartstrings.

"A family, huh? Madoka, how about we move in here after dealing with the Potterverse? Won't be that bad right?" Aster asked.

"Y-You live to-together?" asked a stuttering red-head whose face was equally scarlet as her name.

"Yes, that we do. Two homeless people living together, wanna join us when we settle down over here?" Madoka asked as she teased the blushing redhead.

"Stop teasing her Madoka, let's get inside." Complained an excited Aster.

"Sure, but how will Tatsuya and Koro Sensei, register themselves?" Madoka asked.

"Simple, Koro Sensei can register as a Speed-Mage and Tatsuya can simply say that he's a Gun-Mage, you can be the Elementalist while I go with Ice-Mage. That way we all can have hidden aces and still qualify for the S-rank titles. Koro Sensei might have a little problem there, but nothing that learning some magic from here can't solve." Aster planned it out in a second, making Erza marvel at his planning capabilities.

The five walked into the Guild hall. The inside was similar to a large lunch hall made of wood, possessing a parquet floor and a mezzanine held up by wood beams overlooking it. Several long benches and the related tables stretched across its length with a bar managed by the white-haired Mirajane at the end, while several other waitresses assisted her. The request board was located beside the bar.

Aster and the group walked into the hall behind Erza, "I am back, is the Master present?" she asked.

"Welcome back, Master is attending the regular meeting of the Guild Masters." replied the kind Mira.

"I see, so we have to move right now. Where are Natsu and Gray?" asked the armored scarlet.

Aster simply snapped a pic of Natsu and Gray, sweating with their arms around each other... well that sounds a bit wrong... Well, they were just pretending to get along like best buds in fear of Erza. Lucy was shocked to see the strong Natsu act like that, Mira being the kind soul she was explained how Natsu and Gray were both beaten by Erza, giving the little blondie something to fear as she imagined the outcome.

"I have been hearing a lot of complaints, even if the Master forgives you, I won't. Make sure you don't cause trouble anymore..." After a long series of complaints like in the original, she stopped with a sigh, saying that she won't say much today.

Erza invited Natsu and Gray to form a party like in the original, while Mira threw Lucy into the fray. Lucy asked Mira about Aster and the trio, and it only then did the others manage to notice that no one knew them.

"Let me introduce them, they are strong mages who want to join the guild and since Master is out, they would have to wait for a while. They are Aster, Madoka, Tatsuya, and Koro, treat them well, you guys can sit at the counter and order something while I gather some more information from the notary." Erza introduced them and walked down to the basement library.

"Erza, let's go by the book, and while we are at it, Koro Sensei and Tatsuya can study a bit on magic to get a feel of it and adjust themselves accordingly. I and Madoka will join you guys to make sure the quest missions are completed. Is that fine with you guys?" Aster asked.

"Sure, but I get the lullaby," Madoka called dibs.

"Nice to meet you guys, you can ask us some questions, as long as we are comfortable with them, we will answer." Koro Sensei smiled.

"Are you some kind of runaway Prince, Aster?" a female mage asked with hearts in her eyes.

"No, I am not a runaway Prince but I am a spirit if it intrigues you." Aster chuckled.

"You are a 'Spirit', as in the celestial spirits?" Lucy asked.

"No, I am the Winter Spirit, and I don't have a key if you are wondering about it. I am a natural version of him without that hobby" Aster chuckled as he pointed at Gray.

Aster snapped his fingers and an outfit garbed a shocked Gray, who felt the clothes were really cool and comfortable. As an ice mage himself, Gray, knew that the clothes on him were purely magical and were made of ice, he stared at Aster with a curious gaze.

"You won't feel hot in those clothes, take them as a gift from a friend." Aster smiled, making the girls nearby look at him in a daze.

Loki who was a bit far looked at Aster with a complicated gaze.

"Pack up, we meet at the station by the next hour," Erza informed them and went outside with Madoka.
