The Family

The air temperature in the living room went down the moment Remy shouted. He didn't agree when Ruby told them about her will before and stood with his decision until this moment.

"I told you, I never want your wealth. I don't deserve it! You know it should be Blake's." Remy was firmed with his decision because he knew that was not supposed to be him.

"And who do you think you are to question my decision?" Ruby frowned. She knew Remy would argue with her but to be this vocal about his stand, she didn't expect that.

"With you questioning who I am, isn't it clear that I didn't deserve it in the first place?" Remy didn't feel offended by his grandmother's words but he was just proving a point.

"I didn't mean it that way…" Ruby sighed weakly. Her words were twisted and now she felt frustrated. "Why couldn't you just listen to this old lady's wishes for the last time. Do both of you hate me that much?"
